I am going to try it. It is a step the other person does not expect, I think. I imagine it works with a person with an aggressive communication style. Thanks for the tips.
HR of office manager could be a start. But those kinds of decisions are usually made by the head management (CEO, Managing Director etc). Start by putting the idea to HR/office manager and they might take it to higher levels. Or, if you have a good rapport with the higher management, suggest it directly to them.
Thanks for watching this video on how to disagree assertively and respectfully at work. Did you find it helpful? Let me know in the comments.
What do you think of the second step - ask permission to disagree? This one's a bit controversial.
More suitable for Asian countries. :)
I would not word it that way though. It sounds like it assumes the default stance is that "you would not listen, can I change that"
@@MubashirullahD I can see how you see it's more suitable to Asian countries. I've used it in Australia though, and it's worked for me there.

@@eszterboczan9828 you're right, people don't expect it so for an aggressive communicator it could put them off guard.
Thanks for the video.
It's an excellent channel.
I have been waiting for this video. About to watch it now.
Fantastic! I hope you enjoyed it!
So helpful Kara, and so much work put into this (just as into all your videos and posts). Love the top too, on a slightly less professional level.
Thanks so much Eszter!
Awesome work Kara, love your leadership style and videos!

I'm so happy this video has been helpful for you Marecia!
Thank you
You're welcome!
Let's say I would like the company to invest more in the office atmosphere like adding wooden flooring. Who would I talk to? HR.
