TV, as a whiskey guy my favorite home remedy for colds is
    6-8 oz of boiled water
2-3 oz of high proof whiskey
    2 tbsp of real honey
1/4 lemon squeezed in and leave the remains in the cup.
I like to use a crushed mint leaf if I happen to have any.
It’s basically a hot toddy for a cold. Some people will dissolve a peppermint in there but I like mint leaves. Hope you feel better man!

Its a cute drink and makes you "feel" better but it does nothing but cultivate the bacteria that's causing the issue. Drink water, take a shot of apple cider vinegar or just vinegar, stay away from carbs as the sucralose and fructose will also strengthen the bad bacteria. Best to enjoy steamed dark greens like broccoli or brussels sprouts. The vinegar will both help the depleted good bacteria in your gut while allowing the magnesium rich foods to "sift" through the blood brain barriers and give relief through the rest of your immune system.

It's not that bad, like it sucks but the matchmaking is weird. Like, I swear it puts you through like 10 endurance games to see if you're willing to keep playing but then after that every game becomes a joke. It's so weird, every weekend I go flawless, I go through a dozen bad games before I suddenly start getting really good teammates but very bad enemies. It's unfun either way. Duos is the most fun imo. It feels like every match is fairly balanced. Like you actually have to fight for it, and it's not entirely one sided.

It’s not even the meta. The problem and the main bungie killer is the lobby balance and matchmaking. Every game is 5-0 either way. They put the highest kds on one team and lowest kds on the other. It’s ridiculous at this point. Edit: To clarify I go flawless solo every weekend. This is not a skill issue here it’s an observation. I’ve had weekends where I’ve played over 200 games to get flawless. I know what I’m talking about and bungie is 100% lying to us about matchmaking. It is not random in the slightest.

I feel like its the same, if anything slightly worse for solo queue because if youre stuck with a bad team, your teammates will get farmed and if you rez them they get farmed again. It pretty much turns into an infinite special ammo glitch for the enemy team.
Bad teammates you could usually almost carry them but now it gets nearly impossible when everyone on the enemy team has several shotgun shots.

This has and always will be the thing that ruins trials for me. The population just isn't there.
It either feels like I'm playing against a New Light who's doing PVP for their first time, or (much more often) a team of players who have the Flawless title, or at least go flawless regularly. I had maybe 5/40 games that felt balanced and they were really engaging, but the rest it just felt like there was no hope for one team to win and the match was decided before it even began.
I actually enjoy the auto meta and general gameplay right now, but matchmaking is making me not want to return this weekend.

Playing Trials over the weekend some of the callouts I saw as older gamer in a smaller region (Australia) on D2 PC
    1. Passage of Persistence - Whilst a interesting way to give access to players who can't go flawless it's still fundamentally flawed with the ping/pong wins/losses and team matchmaking within Trials. I watched as matching making would place the stronger players onto the enemy team and then repeat that for consecutive matches. So the slow and stead climb ended up more like walking through a blizzard whilst a avalanche is occurring and whilst only wearing undies. So for my 12 hours of grinding I managed to get one adept weapons so the time to value balance still requires some tweaking.
    2. Connectivity/Networking - Still a major pain point within smaller regions and varies so wildly as I played people from the Russian Federation, Canada, US, Japan, China and is so instrumental in influencing the match outcome when latency and the current tick rate of the game. Damage is suddenly applied or double damage glitching makes the majority of gunfights a frustrating experience and a unknown variable with each engagement. Then we have the situations where you will disengage and be safely behind cover but due to latency the game still registers on there screen you as not been in cover.
    3. Player protection - I came across far to many situations of team mates leaving matches, which created this situation of 2v3 or 1v3. Whilst the player may get punished with a timeout the remaining players aren't offered any type of win/loss protection and leaves them in a no win situation.
Overall Bungie needs to consider re-working the persistence card to either allow the farming of adept weapons on wins once you reach 7 wins or drop the losses remove wins so that people continue to farm the 7 wins to get the adept drops.

I definitely appreciated the new persistence card, made getting my adept faster (got insanely lucky on my one drop), but the meta was rough. Once I settled in, I ran an old adept summoner to get my new one, but autos were everywhere, and it felt like it wasn’t worth starting with a special then switching after using all of my ammo. I strongly disagree with you on the Well-Lock/Bubble-Titan. It's worse for titans, but the reduction of the regen means they're not getting that super until 3-4 / 4-4 with 100 INT which most are not running. If anything in 8-10 matches, especially if you're dual/solo-queue, you're a detriment to your team by running solar and to some degree void titan. Void is by far the strongest Warlock build, titans on solar/arc with their kits can be very effective. It's your neutral game build that matters more (precious scars for example). You have a CHANCE to get the solar titan super at or near 100 INT, Nova is a game ender and a counter to well and bubble. Hunter supers (which they will get quicker than your bubble or well very likely) are also bubble and well killers.
I still don't like the domination mode, but it DOES get people moving and reduce the match time and sitting and waiting.

My biggest complaint is the uncertainty of special ammo. Previously, you knew someone only had 2 shots. If you could bait 2 sniper shots at the beginning of a round, you knew you were clear to push. Now, I have no idea if someone has special or not. Is that shotgun full or empty? Can I push or not? The first two weeks, special was bugged and you got even less, that was easier to manage. Now, you have to assume they have it.
On my side, knowing that the other team is stacking bubbles, you have to run conditional and save ammo for the later rounds as that is your only counter. Bungie nerfed roaming supers when Trials was just elimination, now that it is dominion, the super changes are all wrong. Bubble and well need more counters. Teather is meh.

I'm a double primary main since stasis first dropped and this season I'm pushing to have my highest kds in trials. Finally having weeks with over 2.0 kds as a stasis titan not using the over shield shard cheese, just oem. Feels way more rewarding to hit your shots now and getting out a fight and living because someone didn't hit their crits makes movement even more important. (hence using shiver strike as my main way to get out of situations if I push in too much).

Made it to the end. You know, over the past few years I've disagreed with you a lot TV on the sniper nerfs (and agree with you and most everything else, although I was always a Swift Verdict stan when you were saying other sidearms were better lol). I thought some of them were definitely warranted. But it's pretty undeniable now that it's gone too far - and I say that as someone who really hates snipers and how oppressive they can be. Maybe the auto nerfs will help, but I kind of doubt it'll make a dent. The problem is that you can't follow up very easily. You get a body shot, they get away. You might as well run a bow instead at that point. At least with a bow you can quick swap, or even if they get away you have infinite ammo. Anyway, great video as usual, hope you feel better soon.

What's crazy to me is the fact that duo trials is ridiculously hard compared to running solo. Every single time me and my buddy queued into trials as a duo, the matches were basically the sweat olympics. When running solo, it's really easy for some reason. To the point where i can go flawfless every card without even breaking a sweat. Something is seriously wrong when a game disincentives you from playing with friends.

Hey TV - I think the reason your KD has gone up, is that you’re a really skilled player with great positional play, so you’re rewarded. My concern therefore is that low to average players will struggle even more, and so their KD will drop, and then they’ll stop playing altogether - and trials biggest issue is low player population. Passage of persistence should just be wins (no loss removal) - give people the loot, to get them in the game and everyone will have more fun!!

Overall, I like the ability nerf in Trials, but the inability to combat Wells and Bubbles with special has made Trials worse than it was before update. Really wouldn't have taken Special Ammo away. It's made the game (as a PVP MAIN) much less enjoyable. Still solo flawless every weekend, but in this Guardians opinion, the overall change from last update has made PVP worse, ESPECIALLY Trials.

I’m glad you are enjoying it. I know there are many of you having more fun than ever before. I’m just not one of them. Over the last few years , I’ve improved to become the definition of average. I run a .9 KD and win 51% of my matches. (Up from a .7KD winning about 25%). I’ve gone from playing 30 Trials matches a season to playing 4-500/season.
But checkmate takes virtually all the fun out of the mode for me. I enjoy Collision as the last refuge where the crucible is enjoyable. I enjoy the flow between all my weapons and tactical use of abilities. I love aggressive play, but find shotguns boring. The ability change is fine w/me… barely notice it as you stated. But being limited to primary feels like a slower CoD to me.
The games aren’t compelling in ToO with nearly 60% of matches ending in 5-0/5-1. The compelling games are those ending 5-4/5-3, but those are only 21% of the games. Until they figure out how to shift the curve so that 5-0/5-4 happen about the same frequency- the outcome of most matches is predetermined no matter how well/poorly a team performs.
I got my great adepts for the new scout/summoner and I’m out. I’m going to go from playing 80-100 hours a season of Trials, and probably 3-4 times that in control/comp to…. 5-10? Many of those I play with feel the same. There is just no room for the average player in the space anymore unless you enjoy running bubble Titan/wellock with CF and an Auto.
It’s not just snipers that are dead,
    Bows are down 89%
    Smgs are down 58%
    pulses are down 30%
HC are down nearly 10% (although I believe they will rebound with the fix to EP)
    Snipers are down 92%
    Fusions down 89%
    Traces down 73%
    Glaive down 72%
    GLs down 83%
    LFR down 47%
There are a few weapons benefiting, namely Autos, Scouts, Sidearms, and LMGs, but there are even fewer viable PRIMARY options than before.
The new card system without checkmate, and I would have probably increased my PvP time.
Go get it. I enjoy your content and find you to be a creator that tries to see perspectives of all players, I’ll still be watching your vids, so let me know when they decide to bring back the space magic and give fusion rifles more than 1 shot.
I’m nit leaving the game, just going back to my raiding roots and finding it quite enjoyable to meet people in the LFG to help them get their first clears.so all is well, please keep speaking for the average players as well, like you always have.

I think this was the best possible outcome for the Crucible. Little to no specials (unless you're already super good and charging your meter faster), and if you are getting specials you were already guaranteed to win that match on primary gunskill alone, so it helps speed up the stomping.
I was so sick of getting domed by snipers winging out shots (since ammo wasn't a precious commodity), fusions mapping people, and shotgun aping 24/7. By making specials a precious (special) commodity, they made them require a more measured approach.
That said, we can hope to see some buffs to the lesser-used special weapons because they can be powerful tools again. They don't need to constantly eat nerfs anymore.

And before any trolls get in here. My performance is about the same, maybe slightly better. It’s not an issue where I feel I can’t compete/win in this sandbox. I just find the playstyle as exciting as watching the Revolutionary War being fought with two lines plinking at each other from across the field. I can shred with my scout/sidearm setup. I can suck with it too-just like before. Depends on the game... I’m just an average player. I’m cool with that.

Titans and Warlocks are really strong in trials, whereas hunters don't have anything game breaking, that's why they can play whatever.

I think one of the biggest problems is matchmaking it’s incredibly inconsistent and you don’t know what ur getting. Last weekend I averaged a 3.1kd in trials. I had to reset my card to go flawless 5 different times bc I would just get .4 and .3 teammates and would have to play double 2kds, it felt like bungie was trying to make me lose. In order for me to go flawless this weekend I had to have my best trials card I’ve prob ever had I averaged a 6.6kd and 7.87 kad over the 7 games, I felt like I had to try unbelievably hard and never had an easy game. Half the rounds I was left 1v3ing it was awful. Bungie has got to find a better way to balance out games especially in the solo playlist. It’s just to inconsistent.

  • @Superbluedog
    @Superbluedog 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

Biggest issues I have with new matchmaking (from a solo player perspective) is that in a match with a 2 man on both teams, which is a LOT of my matches probably atleast 60%, I feel like the rounds are WAY less dependent on personal skill. Don't get me wrong I am a middle tier player hovering in the gold area of MMR, but when the game matches you with a bronze duo vs even a gold duo, unless you can carry 3/4 your rounds solo, you just kinda locked into a loss. To an extent that is expression of skill, but only for those that can probably go flawless anyways, it kinda mutes middle tier skilled solo players a lot, atleast what it feels to me. If the enemy duo is better then yours they will 90% of the time coordinate to either pin you down knowing your the best player, or just farm the bad duo you got on your team. This goes both ways in that if you get the good duo you can get a free carry sometimes, but it really makes the que feel more like a lottery of if you get the better duo or not.
The other issue I have found is the Flawless farmers. Now at this point I mostly go for adepts which is why I have been using the new persistence card and I by no means am seeking a easier flawless for myself. I am here to get my adepts and help populate the trials pool. I have done it before all the way back to Trials of the Nine, but quing in on my first and second games only to get stomped by a couple players at 6/7 games on their flawless card feels BAD. I don't think the Game X vs Game X system should come back by any means. That system was a sweaty unfun pool for good players, and next to impossible for average and lower players, but I do think it might be better if maybe people on games maybe 4/7 and up with a flawless card could only pair with people whose cards are at least at game 4/7. This would line up to make it a bit easier for people using the new Ferocity card to get atleast their 3 wins, and remove a bit of the farming. I don't mind going up against people who are trying for flawless, but these past 2 weekends I have seen a lot of "[...] has been granted access to the lighthouse" but I think I only saw 1 "[...] has fallen at the gates of the lighthouse]". Im not so much bothered by losing to a flawless team in general as it is I am tierd of losing to 3 back-to-back when I am just trying my first games of the night and don't even have 1 on my card yet. Oddly enough, I found the further into a card I got, the less flawless people at the gates I actually ran into.

I personally absolutely hate the changes… like loathe them and its basically made me not want to play PVP at all, almost overnight. Problem points being horrible matchmaking (Repeatedly placing stacked flawlesses players against low-skilled, non-flawless players), bad lobby balancing, and a teamshoot auto meta.
The worst change of all, that’s single handed killed my fun in PVP, is the special ammo changes. I never liked Checkmate, but was fine with it being its own thing… until they shoehorned it into being the standard, and I hate now. For a lower skilled player with a hand disability like me, I’m very reliant on special like Fusions to have any kind of fighting chance as my aim with primaries isn’t as competitive with others due to my injury.. now I practically have no chance since Primary is basically all you get now. The system also rewards better players with more special since they get more kills/damage, while weaker players get less special and continued getting stomped.. It’s just badly balanced in general.
I’m more of less done with PVP now if this is going to stick forever. Special ammo being semi-available was a core part of what made PVP fun IMO.. not having it just reminds me of the all-primary era of vanilla D2, and most people remember how boring/lame that era was.

Sniper rifles are dead solely bc of the ammo change. Shottys aren’t that affected bc a shotty shot all but guarantees a kill and are generally used after the round devolves into pushes. Snipers are openers and even the best snipers aren’t landing more than 2/4. That means you can try your 2 snipes at the start, maybe get 1 kill. Then you are primary only for the next 2 rounds at least.

My take on sniping: The nerfs came because people don't like getting domed while they're landing their shots. A sniper is something you should be shooting while the other dude doesn't even know you're there, the issue in D2 is this is literally impossible in almost all cases. The small maps, the huge radar range and the fact that everyone playing knows every millimeter of every map means whenever you aim a sniper rifle, the guy you're aiming at is aiming back at you. In the small amount of cases where you can get far enough away from someone to maybe take them by surprise, all the nerfs have made those shots v hard to make (for me, a bad player, anyway)
What would be the issue in giving snipers a kind of reverse aim assist? Make it so the aim assist ramps UP with range instead of down. When someone headshots you from a million miles away it feels much less annoying, even if you're plinking away with an auto rifle, you know you shouldn't be winning that dual.

The sand box is fine, minus high impact pulses imo, but the biggest issue is matchmaking. It's very obvious games are being stacked to promote fast games. There's no other reason blowouts make up 90% of solo queue matches
