- Hey ya'll! Today I'm styling my 6 year old's hair into a kid's protective hairstyle thats been on my mind.
I loved doing regular twists for her when she was younger but now that she's getting a little older I decided to add hair for some more length so that she had options when styling from day to day.
I know for some styling your little's hair can be overwhelming and sometimes scary but it doesn't have to be. Perfection is not required only that you try! In this video I drop some gems on how to accomplish twists that don't unravel or loosen over time.

As always you have to have snacks and entertainment if you're going to have a chance styling your child's hair and remember to give breaks so both of you stay happy throughout the process.

Where do you use the shine and jam gel, at the base of twist or the entire twist?
At the base to help keep the section neat and then also on her natural hair to help it blend in with the extension

Do I need to use extra hair? Can I use just her hair?
Yes, absolutely you can just use her hair. We added hair here so that her ends wouldn’t be out/ as exposed.
Did this on my daughters hair but struggled blending the extension with her natural hair. Any tips? Am I not using enough of the braiding hair?
Hi! You may need to use a smaller section or consider adding more hair
How long does this style usually last?
For us usually around 3-4 weeks. She sleeps wild and doesn’t wear a bonnet 😂
