it's the thing that so many young people do. Look at the 60s and 70s. Before that they drank, they still drink. It seems to be a normal thing for so many young people for so long to want to get shit faced on something. The difference is these days it is just too dangerous.

The thing I hear on every single video is: "It Can Happen To You". This poison is everywhere now. This lovely well spoken Mom expressed this so well. Scary times and the awareness is not there. We MUST do better as a country. I heard yesterday that the drug crisis in America is making our nation weak. Tragic. Thank you Texas Pictures for spreading awareness. Cooda had so many things to do but never will. RIP

Unpopular comment, we need to stop normalizing taking percocets and xanax etc. It is possible to live without experimenting with drugs. This drug experimentation shouldn't be labeled typical teen behavior. And no, my friends and I did not experiment with drugs, although some did with alcohol. It is possible to raise kids to rightfully fear drugs. We feared drugs.

I have posted similar comments and they either get bombarded with pot heads who take it in the ass or it just flat out gets deleted. I 100% agree, STOP NORMALIZING "EXPERIMENTING WITH DRUGS". Marijuana is such a gateway drug and should not be legal. It should only be used for medicinal purposes. It's nice to see I'm not the only one who thinks something similar...

Sadly, Americans have become accustomed to deep play. We do all sorts of things, like dangerous drugs, in the name of fun. We've become accustomed to not feeling pain, and being with that pain, whether it be physical or mental. So, here we are, once again, viewing another story of someone who injested a substance for pain relief (in fun) and not considering possible consequences.
May this family have peace and may those who watch these videos be more mindful of everything they injest. The World is a playground of death. It's very evident, everyday.

Everytime I hear about these stories it’s always someone dealing with anxiety or depression. Or wanting to escape
And this is why I am trying my best to encourage my teens to work on learning how to manage their feelings . It’s definitely easier said than done but many of us are not taught how to process emotions .
Growing up I thought drinking and smoking was simply something fun to do and now I see it’s something to do when you’re trying to escape .

The enemy is out to destroy families with no disrespect to those who lost loved ones to a drug overdose. In my opinion, fitting in is what most teenagers want to the point they are willing to do stupid stuff that they see so called friends do. As a parent I was fully aware of the challenges my kids were up against when it came to drugs and alcohol. I highly encourage my kids to stay away from drugs. I stressed how a true friend would not lead you down a road of destruction. We made agreements on what my expectation. I had to have access to their social media accounts, I did go through thier phones. Through the phone bills and text messages on the bill. In today’s era, underage kids are allowed to create social media accounts, phone companies no longer sending out detailed phone bills. The battle to stay relevant in your child life is challenging now. This wicked people that lead anyone to drugs don’t care and it’s the family left heartbroken.

One thing I can say from looking at these videos is that experimenting with drugs in this generation is very “Normal “ we live in a generation that drug use is glorified all over the internet, in the music movies and our environment! We teach our children that drugs are bad we tell them that this can happen to anyone but of course we never believe that this can happen to us we are not these people but who exactly are these people? It can literally happen to anyone no one is exempt! My aunt lived a life of drug use passed away a little over a month ago of fentanyl poisoning! My step mom still uses drugs daily and my best friend’s brother died last year all of the same! The only thing I can think to do is pray that my 5 girls are strong and don’t do drugs! My heart truly goes out to these parents I couldn’t imagine laying any of my children to rest 💔

I constantly told them” you might do it a thousand times, and nothing will happen. Or you could do it once, and that be the end. ( Due to an “unknown “ heart defect, etc.) I was very fortunate that either, they listened, or were too scared to try. I hear some parents say it’s “typical” for young people to experiment with drugs. I totally disagree and that belief creates a disguise for abuse or misuse, or creates the pathway to more dangerous drugs. Accepting drugs “off the street” almost equates to death

At 14-15 you just don't go hacking your face with tattoos just because "this is who I am".
No. 14-16yo are still children, they don't know who they are yet.
And rap culture is highly about admiring drugs, gangs and 🔫
No, it didn't force him to do drugs, but it is what it is. She herself said what's needed to say about it. It's not like she didn't know.

I love that you pointed out that not only you but all of us need to recognize people’s worth and look out for signs that they might be struggling with. 200 people dying each day seems to me to be a small number when so many people are dying in the streets around the country. Gosh your son reminds so much of my son. My son is 20 yrs old and my biggest fear is him getting marijuana laced with fentanyl. Yes, he smokes weed, he’s an adult. I’ve talked to him so much about drugs and now even more so about fentanyl and I will continue to for as long as I possibly can. His dad and I were heroin addicts. I for a very short time, I’ve been clean almost 20 years. But his dad has only been clean since he was in prison the last 4 years. His dad gets out next week. I’m so afraid we will get a call that his dad died due to fentanyl. This man will use anything he can get his hands on. Ofc he says he’s “not going to use this time” and he “tried fentanyl before and doesn’t like it bc it doesn’t keep you high like heroin.” So we shall see, this time, if his dad chooses life or drugs, prison & death. My son and his dad don’t have a relationship at all. but I also worry that his dad will try to use marijuana as a way to “bond” with my son and my son won’t know where the marijuana is from, he’ll smoke it and it could be laced with fentanyl. That’s another conversation I need to have with my son. Don’t take anything from your dad.
I’m so sorry this is the kind of story you’re sharing, I want to thank you for doing so. Sending you lots of hugs 🤗 , healing ❤️‍🩹 and prayers 🙏🏽
