Thanks for these, as only just trying out Scorched Earth for the last 2 weeks these videos are so helpful! :)
somehow structures massively increases the spawn rate of death worms in the desert. and to make them spawn you must make sure the leave the rendering range of the spawns and render them back in. at that location it's possible to get them to spawn so fast that you find 1-3 every 30 seconds if you kill them fast enough, even with just placing a thatch foundation.
My favorite method is to roam in between the northwest corner of the map to the big mountain east of blue obelisk, there they spawn instantly if you run in between. You can use "K-mode" whilst running around with a rex or flying with a wyvern, no need to lay down on the ground so you can find them on the go. I recommend doing this for powerleveling and you can make broth of enlightenment for 50% xp bonus from the deathworm horns since you can't get rhino horns on SE.

You don't need to jump off your wyvern to use the external camera trick.
Just fly next to the ground.
they respawn more often while you are on the ground so it helps spawns
hey nooblet i wanted to throw you a tip, when i watched one of your vids you got stuck cause you couldn't see in the dark
well theres a trick you can do on your computer to make it so you can see in pich blackness
ill put the steps in a list
1.go to control panal
2. click on appearance and Personalization
3. click on Display
4. then click on calibrate color
5. another window will open click on it till you get to the Adjust gama
From here you can turn it all the way up and see perfectly in the dark without the need of torches, plus gives you a upper hand on your enemies if they don't know the trick. once your done turn it adjust it back to normal when day rolls around. and alt+tab back to your game.
leave it open and you can alt+tab back to it in a second then back to your game

Hahah yes! Vigo the Carpathian! I dl'ed the same plans for that painting except he is missing the bottom row IIRC. I think it was 3x4. Took a while to make the all the dyes.

Yeah if you pump nothing but weight on a mantis with good starting weight you can get them up to 1k weight.. they then beome the best harvester in the game. Also, use good tools, the damage bonus is doubled when they are used by mantis.

Some of their spawn points seem to be outside the border, can also use the K camera to view them underground.
Sooooo... just thought I'd share what I've observed while newly playing Scorched Earth. While traveling the desert most times you don't even need to rely on hearing the rumbling or seeing it underground. Most times their silhouette will appear very briefly in the distance so I know to go around. It always works and I've never encountered one accidentally.

I've noticed that the best creature to use against the deathwarm is the thylacoleo. I'm not sure about using the thylacoleo against an alpha but it's super easy with the plain worm

Jennifer Hart 150 thyla? Melee is probably to low. I currently had a thyla with 900 melee quite a few mutations. I can kill them easy. The alpha is a little more difficult so might need 2 thyla but a 150 is going 2 die. Are u on pc?
Thyla with 750+ melee will be good for death worms just heal after each fight. If u have a new tribemate. Have them go kill some deathworms and they'll b level 65 or so in 2 hours or so.

If you're trying to do a quick run, just fly at a 50-60 degree angle at the ground and use the orbital cam. So much easier if you're not really looking for worms to fight and are out in the desert

Ashley Parfitt My first three tames were an Jerboa, then a Morellatops and then an Ankylo. Get yourself a Morella as soon as possible because they are the best berry gatherers on Scorched Earth.

On Rognorok I have a poison dragon that when hatched was a level 175 and a lighting dragon that hatched at 150, ps I didn't need to use milk and I have levelled them up quite a bit.
I just saw a giga and shat my pants in game and in real life
I've finally managed to kill a few Deathworms using a pair of T-Rexes! But how to quickly heal them afterwards? Force feeding raw meat by holding E is still slower as one of em always ends up being down by 4-5k or so HP.

I got a Deathworm harvesting duo.
Two Rex (male & female) with 10k health and 1k melee each. The only thing I have to worry about is not getting overcumbered with all these heavy Deathworm horns.

Member berries I do play on a private server but why does it not count?
The only settings I've changed are the spoil timers and XP multiplicator

Fly with an argentavis at ground lvl and u can see underground wher ethe works are, gotta aim the camera to make it work
So the horns are only useful for taming mantis, which are garbage creatures that are outclassed by everything? The mantis either needs a huge buff or a normal taming method.

What stats would u recommend for a Rex for alpha death worms
Best way to kill deathworms is with 5 or 6 200+ Argy with 400% or more melee. They melt and you can farm them. I clear the map in about 30 minutes. This includes alphas because they only get a melee boost and not an hp boost so they go down just as fast but bite harder, however that doesn't matter because no fight will last more than 30 seconds.

Not sure about tuso since idk if it can grab alpha mosas but I don't think so.
And from what I've heard it's not much good if it can't grab a creature.

There is an easier way to find them. Use self cam on a wyvern while slightly looking at the ground this way the wyvern stays close to the ground while flying and put your camera under the ground. Death worms are incredibly long and can be seen sitting under ground very easily this way, even outside aggro range.

alpha deathworms have the same amount of health as a normal one they just deal more damage
De MemeJa no, all alphas have higher health, it just has less health compared to the other alphas

I killed a death worm with a Carno level 51 and took less than half damagebut the setting had damage at a high level. I have yet to kill an Alpha death worm or tame a wyven.

Once you have a fast argent, get a wyvern and it's so much easier to kill deathworms.

Press K and fly with your face in the sand. If you angle the camera under the ground you will see them clearly when they render.

A good way to find them is fly on your lightning wyv look at the GIANT red cloud fly down and zap it until it dies.
Dont use a sicle on a mantis they gather more by hand

I'm wondering how a group of raised Rex's with saddles, about 50% imprinting ranging from lvl 150 to 250 with nothing but health and damage would do against normal and alpha death worms and normal and alpha wyverns.

I’ve tried killing death worms with fire and a level 73 Thylacoleo. She almost dies every time and I haven’t killed a single one.

I tried many times to tame a Rock Element but seems bugged I don’t know. 16 rockets and still doesn’t go down 🤷🏻♂️ boh. And even the DearhWorm. Went to him with the same Dragon and nothing. Doesn’t die
