Being north indian still I think south indian film industry is far way ahead than bollywood in term of talents and fresh content creation, but sadly didn't got that much recognition as bollywood..
That goes on the valuatioal atitude Delhi alike pass it can be very clearthat no Artist better than south in India the pride hold from MGR Shivaj now Kamalhasan. Vijay etc and in kerala Mohan lal Mamutty shobana living as in cenemas not acting we expect the situation change wishes to all invluding Navya Nair Manju warier and others
It's all because of language,in south all of 4 great states have different language and culture, coming to the north it's all high population can understand Hindi and the seems look alike rather than the south but still south has huge potential,more discipline, quality of work and dedication towards the movie's
One of the finest female dancer of her era let it be 1) Telugu 2) Tamil 3) Kannada 4) Kerala film industries, I still remeber she is the only lady who go toe to toe with chiranjivi at her prime time. (We have vijayasanti and bhanu priya still they are no match to shobana legendary lady)

I really love shobhana ma'am as a dancer . Personally i don't know how she performs .even i thought she is one of my inspiration . As a actor after she leads a dance company running it successfully i appreciate it , but after watching this performance really felt bad. So sorry to everyone ! Personally i don't like her way of dancing she is mixing all together the dance form of folk western in middle some funny panjabi (balle balle ) really don't want to hurt anyone I'm a classical dancer professionally . . 🙏
I know, she is definitely an exponent in the field of dance. But her postures are nothing close to bharatanatyam. There's so much geometry in that form of dance and her performances doesn't focus on it. That said she has added a lot of new things in the field and respect her for that
Actually in Bharathanatyam, Geometry is not necessary but symmetry is important . And Shobhana mam is trying to make Bharathanatyam more viable to ordinary people, That's why you people feels a little deviation from the traditional bharathanatyam. She is genious,She is producing herself wothout mimicing the traditional styles as such
