These ladies have to be the most unexpected rock stars ever, no overblown egos, no bad attitudes, no prima donnas. They're just a hard working group of friends and musicians that produce some fantastic music. They also seem to have a great sense of humor and are cute AF. These are not your average rock stars.

No big attitude, no egos they both work extremely hard both bands put out a lot of great music. And they both love being onstage and performing with each other. In the video and the picture there is no tattoo, it's clearly not her on it, and just if you really pay attention to details the body is different from Saiki. I like how Kanami's reaction to them asking her if she wants to marry Saiki is "I thought you guys knew? I mean, have you been paying ANY attention to me? You're all seriously surprised?!" On a more serious note, maybe the band having their own recording studio could mean an increased interactive online presence, specifically on TH-cam -- I'd be down to hearing some song demos, covers, maybe even some guitar lessons and bass lessons from the members themselves.
Just a thought - no idea if it is realistic or not, but maybe Kanami could talk to Miyako from LOVEBITES about the home studio idea - she has a very nice set up, and since both she and Kanami are both utter musical/compositional geniuses, there may be some common ground to work with…?! A home studio.... the money pit that seemed to bankrupt every musician in the 1970s. Of course, a rehearsal space with some recording equipment probably wouldn't be too bad, but a full studio? Marrying Saiki is probably more likely. I actually like how Saiki isn't remotely fazed by it at all.
Ha yes Saiki’s used to it. Japan’s production level is very high. And home studios this century are not difficult, finding space in a Tokyo home is likely the tougher part.
In times when TH-camrs have their own studio to record let's plays, it should be possible to build a little studio at home for the early versions and then go for the final recording in high quality to a bigger one.
When the band started, the management company asked each members if they wanted to try writing some song lyrics. Saiki couldn't do it. Akane and Misa opted out. Miku was actually good. Then, Kanami came with a song that started with "So, my dog died today..." Yeah, so they all said, no lyrics for your Kanami. Miku got the lyrics job. And yes, Kanami is in her own world at times. But then, give her a guitar and she changes.

Misa and Akane have seemed content to specialise, which I'm more than happy about, but there was some talk about Misa writing some stuff. Saiki is an interesting one in this. When she is singing she is highly emotive, an excellent performer. Then she stops and seems highly unaffected for long periods. I have no idea how she is like the latter then can be the former. Kanami has a huge intellectual capacity, from what i have read, but socially is not in the same part of the building it seems. I'm guessing she is somewhere on the autistic spectrum but I'm not an expert. As long as she keeps making music I'll be listening. Miku from what I've seen is Miku Kabato 24/7. Expressive, centre of attention and ambitious. It would honestly surprise me if she wasn't in someway involved in writing the lyrics. Whether Miku is entirely a performance by Noguchi Mika and she just has the supreme stamina to keep it going or she always was this personality I am unsure. But we all love her dearly. (I admit it, i got a bit carried away with that response, I started and couldn't stop)

Also, Misa and Akane recently said they want to try writing songs in near future, not so much lyrics per se. Saiki actually can be moved. The song that comes right after this "Puzzle" is the song "Anemone"; they did two acoustic songs on this day. So, around the 2/3 time of the song there is a moment (literally a split second) where Saiki is almost overcome with emotion and her eyes got teary and had to look up (you have to really watch for it); the song is another brilliant composition by Kanami with lyrics by Miku. The original song, I have the album, is more slow paced rock ballad with an amazing guitar solo, but on this day (2018 @Zepp Tokyo concert), it was an acoustic with just a guitar. It was a brilliant performance. And when the song ended, Saiki had to walk off a bit quickly. Yeah, I think she was thinking of some memories. Although, Saiki does not play any instruments, I consider her a stellar musician (her voice) and is an outstanding front woman and vocalist. Plus, she is kind of the final arbiter of each song they complete (whether is cool/great song or not). Plus, Saiki has to keep that tsundere persona of her (cold/hot). Even though she has that ice queen thing going, she does care for her band members.

I just find it interesting that her "resting" face is kind of blank and in her performance she completely lives the part. It's quite the contrast. I appreciate a good contrast.
i think what she might mean is this: recording the parts one at a time to a recording or a click track can work alot of the time, sometimes it seems to work better for some songs if the whole band does it, and they just rip it right off of the floor. then they can go back in later and dub in the back ups, harmonies & solos, etc. that is my guess, anyhow
I am kinda shocked 😳 with that casual confession to get married with saiki, I knew kanami adored saiki but I thought it's more like sisterly or a child to her mother kinda adoration and saiki just waved it off like a child's wish. Just a thought - no idea if it is realistic or not, but maybe Kanami could talk to Miyako from LOVEBITES about the home studio idea - she has a very nice set up, and since both she and Kanami are both utter musical/compositional geniuses, there may be some common ground to work with…?!

A home studio.... the money pit that seemed to bankrupt every musician in the 1970s. Of course, a rehearsal space with some recording equipment probably wouldn't be too bad, but a full studio? Marrying Saiki is probably more likely. I actually like how Saiki isn't remotely fazed by it at all.
If Led Zeppelin could do it, why BAND-MAID can't? The world domination is near.

Ha yes Saiki’s used to it. Japan’s production level is very high. And home studios this century are not difficult, finding space in a Tokyo home is likely the tougher part.
In times when TH-camrs have their own studio to record let's plays, it should be possible to build a little studio at home for the early versions and then go for the final recording in high quality to a bigger one.
I get the feeling that a lot of conversations with Kanami get weird pretty quick.
When the band started, the management company asked each members if they wanted to try writing some song lyrics. Saiki couldn't do it. Akane and Misa opted out. Miku was actually good. Then, Kanami came with a song that started with "So, my dog died today..." Yeah, so they all said, no lyrics for your Kanami. Miku got the lyrics job. And yes, Kanami is in her own world at times. But then, give her a guitar and she changes.

Misa and Akane have seemed content to specialise, which I'm more than happy about, but there was some talk about Misa writing some stuff.
Saiki is an interesting one in this. When she is singing she is highly emotive, an excellent performer. Then she stops and seems highly unaffected for long periods. I have no idea how she is like the latter then can be the former.
Kanami has a huge intellectual capacity, from what i have read, but socially is not in the same part of the building it seems. I'm guessing she is somewhere on the autistic spectrum but I'm not an expert. As long as she keeps making music I'll be listening.
Miku from what I've seen is Miku Kabato 24/7. Expressive, centre of attention and ambitious. It would honestly surprise me if she wasn't in someway involved in writing the lyrics. Whether Miku is entirely a performance by Noguchi Mika and she just has the supreme stamina to keep it going or she always was this personality I am unsure. But we all love her dearly.
(I admit it, i got a bit carried away with that response, I started and couldn't stop)
@@kalebdaark100 It's true. They all talked about it in an interview about the lyric writing history. Also, Misa and Akane recently said they want to try writing songs in near future, not so much lyrics per se. Saiki actually can be moved. The song that comes right after this "Puzzle" is the song "Anemone"; they did two acoustic songs on this day. So, around the 2/3 time of the song there is a moment (literally a split second) where Saiki is almost overcome with emotion and her eyes got teary and had to look up (you have to really watch for it); the song is another brilliant composition by Kanami with lyrics by Miku. The original song, I have the album, is more slow paced rock ballad with an amazing guitar solo, but on this day (2018 @Zepp Tokyo concert), it was an acoustic with just a guitar. It was a brilliant performance. And when the song ended, Saiki had to walk off a bit quickly. Yeah, I think she was thinking of some memories.
Although, Saiki does not play any instruments, I consider her a stellar musician (her voice) and is an outstanding front woman and vocalist. Plus, she is kind of the final arbiter of each song they complete (whether is cool/great song or not). Plus, Saiki has to keep that tsundere persona of her (cold/hot). Even though she has that ice queen thing going, she does care for her band members.

I would never say Saiki can't show emotion or that she does feel or care, she clearly does. I just find it interesting that her "resting" face is kind of blank and in her performance she completely lives the part. It's quite the contrast. I appreciate a good contrast.

i think what she might mean is this: recording the parts one at a time to a recording or a click track can work alot of the time, sometimes it seems to work better for some songs if the whole band does it, and they just rip it right off of the floor. then they can go back in later and dub in the back ups, harmonies & solos, etc. that is my guess, anyhow

@V. M. A Saiki alternates between being irritated and amused, even flattered at times but she is not getting married anytime soon. Both are firmly committed to World Domination. That is who all band members are "married" to.

@SeppuKun what gave you that idea? They are still a pretty small band in Japan and I doubt they make much money on their overseas tours in small venues.
@SeppuKun we fans wish they were actually that successful and living comfortably. Unfortunately they are still working their butts off to make carry on their dream on a daily basis.

They need to let her drink beer on set to get her to loosen up enough to start talking on camera. That's what a radio deejay did during an half hour long FM radio interview with MISA in the past and that got her talking a lot on air then.
@@johnlloyddy7016 Chris Peppler is the radio DJ in question. He was SO GOOD at getting Misa to actually speak. Granted, it helped that the show was sponsored by Sapporo Beer and I'm pretty sure she said she'd already had a few before going on air.
