They both were fantastic in American Fiction. They are truly deserving of the nominations. I was very touched to see Jeffrey Wright’s response. I’ve loved him in the hunger games and I’ve loved his work in the French Dispatch, Asteroid City and Rustin. I wish he got a nod for his work in that movie too. He deserves this Oscar nom big time.
Sterling K Brown was both fun to watch and compelling in American Fiction. He also brought poignancy to moments of personal revelation between his character and the other family members in the film. This was a worthy nomination.
