I hate the horizontal nystagmus test. I think it shouldn't be in the sobriety field test. But I was sober I've owned an optometrist practice for almost 17 years now, and other things that cause an issue for the horizontal gaze test are: - Inner ear problems - Overall fatigue, just being tired - Hypertension - EYESTRAIN this is the biggest issue... because most of the DUIs that I have seen happen at night. At night, our eyes are the most strained. Lack of light, end of the day, etc. - Vertigo - Stress It's such a poor impairment test. It's almost as bad as a K9 search. If you look at the stats, a K9 "alerting" on a vehicle, it's literally a coin flip of the dog having a correct "Alert" And that gives the cops probable cause to search your car. Violating your rights. Whether you're innocent or guilty. Sometimes, I hate this country.
And that’s why cops are supposed to ask if you have anything wrong with your eyes or brain. The ones doing the hgn aren’t fatigued or anything else you stated in probably 99.999999% of the tests.
I love that one. I especially love it when you get someone and they start literally reaching out when explaining "how close" they are to where they wanted to go!

That’s why you should always do the breathalyzer lmao this fool thought he was a different breed or something and could just look sober to a trained eye 😂
@@aaronsavage8018 Almost every lawyer will tell you to refuse the breathalyzer.

A good lawyer will tell you not to drink and drive 🧐 I know, it’s a profound concept. If you’re innocent you have nothing to worry about. Except what was worth knowing - "Don't drink and drive."
Keeping your tags up to date is a good way to possibly stay out of trouble. So many people get arrested for more serious things just because of expired tags..
Right.
So true.
had a texas state trooper pulled me over while i had a blunt in the car and let me go with a warning because i had a clean record and everything was up to date. i was sober while driving lol
Never ever ever ever admit…he was good until he slipped. Never admit folks ever! You have a better chance just fighting it in court. Been there done it!
So you drink and drive and don't take responsibility? Way to endanger innocent people.
He was slurring his words the whole time. Legally speaking, he shouldn't even have said anything but his details. It was very obvious early on that he was getting arrested. He was too delusional to see that. I'm glad he made all these mistakes. Drinking and driving isn't punished enough.
More like- never ever ever ..EVER..get on the wheel drunk. Just take a few hours off or call an Uber.
Not gonna lie I think he performed pretty well on most of the testing and his speech and comprehension seemed in tact. I wonder if a breathalyzer would have determined that yes he had a few drinks but was under the legal limit? Either way he was smart for not doing it but makes me wonder.
Definitely don't do the breathalyzer
He was guilty. I know allies, n he had all the proponents.....N as a COP.....U know u gotta have a licensed reg n insurance, c'mon now. SMMFH.
He “literally” thought he was above the law .
I think it's funny when cops have trouble doing the same tests they give to others
It’s not really a matter of a cop having trouble doing it. It’s a drunk having trouble doing it, which is what the tests are designed for.

It astounds me that with social media, officers still flash their badge to get special privileges and then gives attitude. He can't even register his car so drunk driving isn't a problem too.
I don’t think him flashing his badge was immediately to try to get special privileges, in most cases (his probably included) when a LEO is stopped by another LEO, they do that to let the officer know they probably have a gun on them.
As much as I'm against social media and what it has done to our world, this is totally not related to it 😂
Bc he work for the police he thinks he’s above the law and won’t renew his registration smh

I hate the horizontal nystagmus test. I think it shouldn't be in the sobriety field test.
I have a generic nystagmus, and I got pulled over a couple of times and had to sit through the tests both times because when the officer looked at my eyes, it looked like I was on some crack, my pupils were moving all over the place and i have terrible night vision because thats one of the symptoms.. But I was sober
I've owned an optometrist practice for almost 17 years now, and other things that cause an issue for the horizontal gaze test are:
- Inner ear problems
- Overall fatigue, just being tired
- Hypertension
- EYESTRAIN this is the biggest issue... because most of the DUIs that I have seen happen at night. At night, our eyes are the most strained. Lack of light, end of the day, etc.
- Vertigo
- Stress
It's such a poor impairment test.
Aaaaand, there it is. The ol’ “I live right down here” line drop lol
I love that one. I especially love it when you get someone and they start literally reaching out when explaining "how close" they are to where they wanted to go!
What a liar unbelievable Thankyou officer arresting him
A Rolex for a 1.5 year officer?? Either his priorities need reevaluation or he might not have the integrity a police officer should have. Since he was drinking and driving and putting his career at risk I wouldn’t doubt he has done other things he shouldn’t have done.
Exactly, I believe that rookie cop is dirty.
rolex’s aren’t like the symbols of wealth like they once were. nowadays people just get them cause they want a nice watch. it’s not uncommon to see regular everyday salary men with a rolex. plus they last for a long time so it’s a good investment.
He’s from a super wealthy nehiborhood / school in Cincinnati
That's a lot of wild assumptions you jumped to. The watch could have been a gift, an inherited piece, won in a raffle, achieved by an endless number of ways, but you automatically assume it was achieved by illegal gains?!?!? Wow!
Love his constant use of the word Literally…..Literally.
Clearly he had been drinking but he didn't do so bad on the tests that a good lawyer couldn't possibly explain.
And then at the very ends he gets outsmarted, by the sober cop! 😂

YOU KNOW HOW THIS GOES
He got out of the car and leaned up against it with his arms crossed like he thought they were about to chit-chat 🤣
Whether he may be drunk or not they got to come up with a new test cuz I can't even comprehend that when I'm not impaired
I don't even think I'd call him drunk
He’s upset because he’s caught
Has she been drinking too?
No.
Just you?
“Yeah”

Flashing his badge like they were gonna let him go.
That guy seemed like he was on some kind of stimulant also. The way he was talking and his eyes being so wide open all the time. Lol that was the fastest investigation ever, it was 10 seconds from when he got pulled over to being asked how much he had to drink
The cop finally got him to admit to drinking at the end 😂😂
He so annoying he knows everything except not to drink and drive!
He did all of his tests better than I've seen on sober people. His case will be dismissed, waste of a video
He failed to follow almost every simple direction given the entire interaction. Those tests are also about cognitive application and following directions.
Will they take a blood test? In Germany you can do field sobriety test and/or breathalysee but in the end, they always do the blood test because that’s the only evidence in court that counts. So even if he passed the sobriety test the blood test will tell the truth and you can’t fight anything. Last but not least he smelled alcohol
Lol, no. He failed the test, which means they will make him do a blood test. When that comes back positive, all the defense is left with arguing is that the stop was arbitrary, but that's impossible because of the expired tags. This guy is a loser for drinking and driving, and he shouldn't be allowed to be a cop.
@@Flotter-Flo No, they cannot force a blood draw. Only in certain states/counties. He also did not ''fail'' the test. He never slurred a single word, he never wobbled or swayed, and his responses were lightning fast. Some one being drunk would not be capable of doing that.
@@wombat5252 To me, he looked like a drunk guy tryharding the tests. Of course they can force a blood test. All that takes is probable cause or a judge's warrant. How else would they convict non-cooperating DUI losers?
