Here where I live in Australia, the local radio station used to play this song every day before reading out kid's names on their birthday. That was back in the late 1950's - early '60's, yet I still remember the song word for word.

To this day, this is how I remember how many days in the year. With my parents now in their nineties, the “whether you’re ninety or two” has special meaning. My parents were around 30 when this came out.

I heard this song in the early seventies on Captain Kangaroo, no the Christmas song on Cap Kangaroo. Didn't know about this song. Grew up with a Chipmunks album, so that was that. Give me funny voices harmonizing on anything, I'm entranced. So I found the Christmas song with the reindeer here on youtube, but now look what I have found. Never heard it before and this is wonderful.

Yeah I saw a comment from a 50 years old person saying that this song was in his childhood. And guess what? A random person replied with a TH-cam link, that leads to The Walten Files 2 - Relocate Project, and told him/her to go to 15:55 for a different version of the song. And you know what kind of version? Yes, the one, where this scary ass clown sings this sing but in a distorted version, and then it repeats "great", and then says "Jack; Susan; Charles; Rosemary; Sophie;", and then our cameraman, whose name is Ashley tries to turn ln the flashlight back on, and when it turns on, a big ass blue rabbit animatronic attacks her, puts her into the clown (yes, the clown is actually an animatronic), where she desperately screams for 1 hour, no one heard her screams, and then she dies. It's not great to ruin others' childhoods with a god damn analog horror.
Oh such fond memories, at the age of 4 I thought I so FAMOUS because they "dedicated" the song to me. I'm sure it was because of a letter from my dad, but it was the coolest thing ever to me. Cooler things have happened since (I'm not a total saddo) but this lingers in my mind to this day :)

This is cool stuff. I used to watch this show in the early seventies when I was around 8 years old. I even went on the show as a cub scout around that time. All I remember is that I was so anxious to eat birthday cake only to find that it was a plastic cake. I thought we might eat cake after the show, seeing as I was there because it was my birthday, but we didn't. I was so disappointed. I also remember the sets and the cameras.

Yeah I saw a comment from a 50 years old person saying that this song was in his childhood. And guess what?
A random person replied with a TH-cam link, that leads to The Walten Files 2 - Relocate Project, and told him/her to go to 15:55 for a different version of the song. And you know what kind of version? Yes, the one, where this scary ass clown sings this sing but in a distorted version, and then it repeats "great", and then says "Jack; Susan; Charles; Rosemary; Sophie;", and then our cameraman, whose name is Ashley tries to turn ln the flashlight back on, and when it turns on, a big ass blue rabbit animatronic attacks her, puts her into the clown (yes, the clown is actually an animatronic), where she desperately screams for 1 hour, no one heard her screams, and then she dies.
It's not great to ruin others' childhoods with a god damn analog horror.

Oh such fond memories, at the age of 4 I thought I so FAMOUS because they "dedicated" the song to me. I'm sure it was because of a letter from my dad, but it was the coolest thing ever to me. Cooler things have happened since (I'm not a total saddo) but this lingers in my mind to this day :)

This is cool stuff. I used to watch this show in the early seventies when I was around 8 years old. I even went on the show as a cub scout around that time. All I remember is that I was so anxious to eat birthday cake only to find that it was a plastic cake. I thought we might eat cake after the show, seeing as I was there because it was my birthday, but we didn't. I was so disappointed. I also remember the sets and the cameras.
