    Sir
We were using bag filter system but still we getting so many problems in dust collecting. Please I want to contact with you sir

i'm design a bagfilter in feedmill system , i need caculate pressure for a cenfrifugal fan for system,
but i can't find loss pressure of filter bag in catalogue.
    I have data air permeability 333 l/(dm^2 min)@200PA

The permeability denotes the flow at a pressure across the filter. This can be used to estimate resistance when incorporating the filter area and required flow rate.
That said you will want to ultimately know the dp, or the resistance, from inlet to outlet of the Baghouse. If you have similar applications then use those losses across the Baghouse to size your fan.
The dp across the Baghouse will be higher than the tubesheet. Making the design of the dirty air and clean air plenum, as well as Ducting, important for reducing the static pressure inlet requirement of the fan.
Thank you for the comment. Reply with any further questions👍

Sir Can you Explain.1)how to calculate capacity of bag house.2) lime dosing is it necessary?

There are many items to consider when sizing a Baghouse. Three that come to mind are grain loading, size constraints, and can velocity for the dust collected. Lime dosing, what is it being added to react with in the process?

How to calculate Flow rate required for Dust collection

    • @devittm1979

It depends on what is being vented, dust properties, and enclosure design to outline a few areas. I would suggest looking at the Industrial Ventilation Guide. As well as NIOSH as a good pdf that discuss dust collection topics.

How to define number of filter bag in drying system?

    • @devittm1979
      @devittm1979  6 ปีที่แล้ว

To find the number of filters you need a few pieces of information. Air flow rate, Target air to cloth ratio, and the filter’s cloth area. Start with the target air to cloth and air flow to find the total cloth area required in the system. Then divide by the cloth area per filter.
Regarding air to cloth ranges, and these are general ranges as more difficult to capture or remove dust will require a lower A:C ratio.
      Nuisance DC 5:1
      Large process DC 3:1

Dear devittm1979 ,can you please explain that why we multiply pi times to calculate air to cloth ratio.

Pi is for calculating filter bags area.. filter bags area = 3.14 X length X dia
