it's called Clothesline, like the string your mom'd hang clothes on for drying outside. Meant as something that would tackle you if you came running or rode on a bike and ran into it, knocking you on the ground.
This is one of the greatest wrestling games ever, ahead of its time. I was obsessed with this game in my college arcade (mid 90's). I STILL play this game using a mini pc running Mame hooked up to my 65" TV...
Best wrestling game ever. Even in today's WWF games. It is amazing as a kid how you wanted this big arcade machine in the basement of your house. Now you can just download it with MAME. I just wish they re-released this game with the complete 80's and 90's roster.
@@analiysanchez9949Yeah, and that comes after a match with the Legion of Doom where you’re called “challengers.” Can’t see why anyone would think you’re not in a title match there. The fact that the arcade mode just repeats the same matches doesn’t change that.
OMG..The nostalgia! 🙈 How can i explain the feeling of playing this BEAST of a game (remember we are talking late 80s early 90s gaming), even the commentary and attention to detail was crazy. Cant believe its been over 30 odd years n more! 😮 And also constantly going nuts in the arcade and THEN my dad gets us kids the SNES as a present and then eventually a game called "WWF ROYAL RUMBLE" came out!! 😱 it was like I'd died and gone to heaven as a kid cos that transition from GOING to the arcade CONSTANTLY to then getting a SNES and then having to RENT n RENEW CONSTANTLY from Blockbuster! 😅 But when i got my own lil Royal Rumble cartridge.. it was pure bliss... Man i dunno how to replicate this feeling nowadays for my kid when i speak of it to em but i guess i'll find out as a parent..eventually. peace and love to all ❤🙌🏽🙏🏽
flawless, you remind myself, i used to do the exact same gameplay when i played this in the arcades back in the early 90's, i used to have a crowd of people behind me watching me play, just one quarter and i would be there for an hour or so, looping over and over. My faves were Warrior/Million dollar man, and i consider apart from those, Jake to have the best moves, actually Jake and Dibiase are the very best characters, better moves in the game, but i was a great fan of warrior back then...
The best wrestling game ever. If WWE wants to sell games put this game out and just add more playable characters. The game play/fun of this game outshines the last 20 years of wrestling games that have better graphics.
Watching this game brings back so many pleasant memories, esp of the WWF heydays. Played this in the arcades and then years later on an early version emulator called RAINE on windows98. In my humble opinion, the best WWF era related arcade game. Technicos totally nailed it. A total gem.
Showed this to little brother while visiting parents last week, we played Jake & Hogan Coop until we lost to the LoD and I told him it'd probably take quite a few tries :P
This is my all time favorite arcade game, but the way you know it like the back of your hand is very impressive! It always took me about 25 minutes to beat tag mode.
Around 1992-1993 when I was in 4th and 5th grade they had a deal at putt putt golf every Saturday where it would be unlimited golf and 40 arcade tokens for 5 bucks. I dumped an assload of tokens into this machine. Ill never forget all the sounds of those arcades its one of my favorite memories from growing up maybe ever
Very impressive. It’s funny, Warrior has a running shoulderblock in WWF Superstars that really makes the game a lot easier, too. But nice stuff. I’m going to ape some of your techniques, like chasing them down to hit the powerslam.
Loved this game.... Pocket money on a Saturday morning was spent on this. Get up early... Get a saveway from the post office. Get the bus to town where there was a news agent who had this in his shop. 20p a go..... Then spend the rest of the day riding buses with the lads. Good times
Me too and when it went removed from arcades it was a bummer and it was just sf2 mk and nba jam lol and only wrestling game that made me happy was the ps2 wwe shut your mouth and especially wwe Brock Lesnar here comes was a awesome game but yeah would think about this game. Ah dude I even owned wrestlefest because this web called ioffer which got removed but yeah they had sellers that would sell disc with arcades like this and would put it in laptop and just go buy a computer video game control that looked like a ps2 control and would play this lol and never thought I'd own it but lost it when moved and ioffer got removed from business. So looking to own wrestlefest as believe in order to do so I have to buy that four hundred dollar cabinet lol
@@nickperkins8477they never where gonna port this to home gaming but they actually could have because SNES looked like it would have had the graphics for this. Instead we got Royal rumble and super WrestleMania which where horrible.

“Warrior clothesline, warrior clothesline” That was a spot in his matches in real life. Never made sense for the opponent to keep getting up, getting clotheslined, getting up again the exact same way just to get clotheslined again

How did I not work out that clothesline routine as a kid. I feel robbed of all those 10p's this machine ate up lol
