And i think we're all the same - I'm sure that all musicians perform these expressions when watching another talented musician playing an instrument that they can play.
- Hi, I started learning violin on my own. I have been at it for a few weeks, and I wanted to learn this one piece, but I am still struggling with it... If you could help me because I really try but I don't sound very good...
Rob, I am quite a fan of yours and watch your videos every chance i get. You did an excellent job on playing the God Save the Queen excerpt. I am confident that if you spent the same amount of time practicing and studying the piece, you would have sounded just as good as the concert violinist that you played in the end. I love your depth and articulation of character in each and every note you play. Your musicality is on point and your passion is second to none. The great thing about you and your character as a musician is that you are not a stuffy pompas ass. You demonstrate a warm and down to earth mentality and it endears many of your fans to you. Keep of the great work my friend. Stay strong and stay true to yourself in all you do. May God bless you and your work.
Wasn't that meant to be a joke referring to the fact that the song is actually called God Save the King and not God Save the Queen from the Sex pistols ?
Not really a fair comparison considering he most likely had months to prep and practice vs a week. Not to mention that concert soloists are already a league ahead of everyone else. But yes, his version was definitely the best.
No but it is cheating that he has practiced this piece for far longer than a week. I honestly doubt even he wouldve had a much better result in 5 days or so. What separates world class concert soloists from the rest is that they just keep improving almost endlessly when they practice. Until it becomes the magic you hear like on this video.

Most people have no idea how difficult it is to play a non fretted stringed instrument....especially the Violin ! I’d be surprised if you aren’t a teacher. Your constructive criticism and feedback on imperfections is pure awesomeness. Thanks for not bashing dedication. You are great!
For me, $73.50, love her clean sound. Was a tad slow on some parts, but she picked up the tempo in other parts and this contrast gave life and color to the piece. The fact that she accepted the challenge means that she's a classical musician at heart. Bravo!! I always strive to stay halfway between the bridge and fingerboard, but she stayed kind of close to the fingerboard. I guess this has to do with her technique for getting those rapid changes in intonation.
Wow, they were all absolutely awesome and courageous! I do not play violin but even I can see how excruciatingly difficult this was with an obvious trade off between tempo and precision. They all made me hold my breath. To be honest Rob, you were nearly the best of the pack, but not quite. I don't want to say which my favorite was though.

USA: No no, it's My Country tis of Thee
USA and Liechtenstein: And we DEFINITELY didn't copy the melody
I liked the first one very much. She is not playing with speed but she has a very nice sound and makes the melody very vibrant and clear. I can enjoy her playing all day long. There is no rush and tension in her style.
9:43 Rob's reaction is exactly same as that of people's reaction on omegle when he plays the violin
Why am I tearing up every time I hear a (good) violin playing.
When see the original, we know we are just mortals 😂
9:10 you just Rick Rolled me! In the beginning when you played it sounded like you never played a violin before, and now you play it perfectly 🙏 9:39 yeah that guy makes it sound so easy
The person who disliked this video broke his violin back in 2nd grade
I never understood why anyone would dislike a video that is not offensive, or doing something terrible. If I don't like a video I just stop watching and leave.
@@EV-olution it's just bots
@@EV-olution I do the same
@@AryanSharma-di3fb I don't think so. My channel is not big like Rob's, I have a bit over 6200 subscribers and every video I make gets a few dislikes even though my videos are instructional. I try to remain as professional as possible, and polite. That is what makes me wonder, why would someone click dislike? How did the content offend them, or are they just grumpy old farts 😎
What is the minimum wage for violinists ?
