I use Photoshop to cut apart the storyboards and After Effects to move them! I’m thinking about making a short video covering the whole process. And I actually had to adjust the speeds of Truth and Hood’s lines to make them line up like that!

It’s crazy how Halo 2 was supposed to end things. I’m glad it didn’t because Halo 3 brought so much to the series and really capped things off in a way that I’m honestly not sure Halo 2 could have done alone. With Halo 3 we got Forge, Theater, file share, so many beloved maps, and a community that was so strong it was able to break into the mainstream for a bit with Red Vs Blue. Halo 2 had to stumble (crazy how Halo 2 still lands gracefully while stumbling and Infinite can’t) the way it did so Halo 3 could pick itself back up and Finish the Fight. I’m satisfied with the trilogy how it went even if I would like to see extended versions with the cut content creatively used to make it all fit. That’s what I hope Halo Reborn ends up doing. I hope Halo Reborn takes the cut levels and cutscenes and repurposes them to enrich the trilogy as one big game.
As a lifetime Halo 2 fan, I can begrudgingly say in hindsight I would have preferred this perfect, extended conclusion of halo 2s story instead of halo 3. I love halo 3, but its story is even more simple and cheesy than halo 1. Everyones characterization from Halo 2 is assassinated for the short campaign of halo 3. I wanted this to be the conclusion. The James Camerons "Aliens" of the franchise. Not the lesser "Return of the Jedi" conclusion that we got. Especially with the original massive reveal of the forerunners that was originally planned for halo 2, not the space voldemort's we got from Halo 4. I know halos story could have gone soooooo much worse than what we got * cough cough halo 5 cough * but it also could have been soooooo much better.
I can't help but think a full remake of Halo 2's original story with modern equipment could be one of the best games of all time. Halo could do good following the Call of Duty Modern Warfare route in my opinion
So it sounds like the forerunners were humans and built the Ark aka Earth. Explains why it's deemed a 'perfect planet' compared to everything else in the halo universe lol
