I understand it's a long tournament and minds wander... I have to assume alot of it was less boredom on their part and more distraction due to scrambling to organize the Bonus Final Table w/Roastbeef Phil. Which was alot of fun as well.

Hugely charismatic - he creates some great content for beginner/intermediate juniors (& grown-ups) at the famous St Louis Chess Club all of which can be found online. My daughter is a former British Champion and we costed a two-week training trip at the St Louis club (tournament included) pre-Covid, but it worked out at over £6000. Go to Greece instead during term time for a (cough) 11-day, 9-round holiday, sorry, tournament.
would it kill the announcers to talk about THE HAND BEING PLAYED instead of a hand played five minutes ago? Or instead of talking about useless crap unrelated to THE HAND BEING PLAYED?
The only "real" reason why they would have to segregate a non-physical competition like poker would be to acknowledge that men are better at poker than women.
When you win, the first thing you should do is go over to your opponent and show your respect. THEN you can celebrate. The loser shouldn't have to come over to you and interrupt your celebration just to shake hands or "hug it out" in this case. Too few people show this simple respect when they win.

Just out of curiosity, why is there a womens poker tournament? You'd think for non strength related competitions they would just have 1 tournament for everyone.
I do think it is just bad play if you have a big pocket pair and you just limp, Mike Sexton used to say it is the worst way go can play them, and i agree 100%. Another example by the Austrian gal here.....
No wonder the pros keep trashing this site. This isn’t about you commentators; it’s about the plays. If you don’t have poker skill, move on please. And this isn’t chess!
