I'm 5'2" and I'm loving the wide leg jeans. What works for me is that I have to make sure they fit nicely around the hips and they are not too wide around the thigh. Recently i have had good luck with The Loft petite size and Old Navy petite wide leg jeans. If I shop at TJMaxx or a store like that, I make sure to try on all brands. Having a good seamstress is key as well. I sometimes have her take in the the legs a bit if the pants are too wide, but otherwise fit great everywhere else.

Being short (5’3”), I look dumpy with wide-legged jeans. Can somebody give me advice as to brands that are more streamlined?
You need straight leg jeans, but it is important that they fit you and do not cover your shoes. I am 4'11.
