The main reason is that the girl's father always demand Haq Mehar that it is not payable by those who are earning average salary/month. In Pakistan an average expense of doing a marriage is roughly around 20-30 lakh which is only spent on dresses, food, venues, cars, fireworks, DJs and what not. Now just think about how a normal middle class will be able to afford such expenses when these things are being normalised in the society. For 2-3 events and each event lasts 3 hours max which means Means 30 lakh for 9 hours of marriage/disco/concert or what ever you call it. Do you see the stupidity of this scenario? These are reasons that illegal relationships/rape/homo sexuality is taking place.

The girl was saying that usually women don't go out in the area and the society is an Islamic society then she is wrongfully blaming it (buhtaan) to the Islamic society that pedophilia is common there. If the women are not allowed to go out then, from where she came up with the conclusion that the society has that issue without being factual? In the world of logic you call her question an "Ad Hominem" fallacy since there was no concrete or solid evidence behind her blame and that is very wrongful of her to blame the entire society in the name of Islam. In Sharia, blaming someone wrongfully is actually a bigger sin and she is accusing the whole society of that sin without producing evidence.

A bit disturbed by zakir naik's behaviour, as I have found him so impatient, unwilling to listen to any question, getting angry on minor issues, not answering properly. I expected more from him as looked up to him as mentor, a great dayee a great islamic scholar. I hope he is able to bring his good image back.
I think one could be willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Considering that Dr. Zakir Naik's command over Urdu is not optimal, and English is the language he has mostly done da'wah (preached) in, it could be possible that his rather unsatisfactory answers are due to the language barrier. Maybe questions posed to him In English could receive better answers. And if I'm not wrong, he did originally plan to deliver his lectures and speeches in English in Pakistan.
Being a scholar when you have a huge audience to follow you, you may not have a leisure to use one liners or act short tempered. And using the platform to call out these people who do wrong in the name of religion can be the turning point for many people specially who want to listen it from the scholar himself rather than someone else because in reality there are people who practice these things but on the outside they are aligned with GOD, not because they know it, it's because in their subconscious they are right as they are performing and completing their religious requirements which is enough for them other than that all other actions are justified. Instead of condemning someone on the stage a formal way of speaking should have been used and issue should have been addressed.

1. He criticized the partition of India and creation of Pakistan, calling it a tragedy.

3. Suicide attacks advised by clerics is not bad and he refuses to condemn Osama bin Laden.
4. Muslims have the right to have sex with their female slaves.

If all this is true, I fail to understand that why Pakistan government invited him as a state guest. I also saw a clip where he was talking against Pakistan and PIA. Can my friends comment whether all above are true or fake.

Here are my points
1-zakir Naik ny koi rah-e- farar ikhtiar nahi ikhtiar ki. He was willingl to answer the question if the girl apologize about her question 2- in ka ghusa krna logical tha, not in ka style. If he allowed that lady to ask the question in wrong way us say ghalat message jata. 3- aap dono ko yay argument publicly nhi dikhan chahiyae tha.

Both anchors are right, and so is the girl. She tried to highlight the duplicity and munafqat that exist in the society. Her’s was not a question on Islam. Dr sahb not knowing the hypocrisy reacted as if the deen is being targeted, so he became defensive. What he said would be true if we had an Islamic culture but we don’t.

Zakir Naik talks about Hadiths didn't he knew that , he gave that answer , he is a renonwned scholar it is not the way that islam teaches about answer questions.

This guy fails to understand that Zakir Naik is a religious scholar and answers questions related to religions backed by authentic resources. She asked a question which was a Pakistan's issue, if Pedophilia is present in our country while we pretend to be Islamic. Zakir Naik has nothing to do with it and not obliged to answer or solve our country issues. He says he understood but didn't answer. I am from the same region as the Pashtun girl who asked question from Zakir Naik. Some explanation
So, few days ago, a Pashtun girl from Lakki Marwat asked a question from Zakir Naik. The latter not only misunderstood her question but also did not allow her to explain herself. On top of his rudeness and anger, he also accused her of attacking Islam. Even though she clearly said that Urdu is not her first language and expected some patience and understanding but Zakir Naik cared less and uploaded video with title "Pathan girl with contradicting question" on his official TH-cam channel.
1- By "pedophilia", she actually meant pederasty, the harassment, exploitation and abuse of boys (usually those nearing the age of puberty but could be younger than that). Lakki Marwat and the adjacent Bannu are notorious for that. This Londay-bazi thing exists in all parts of Pakistan to varying degrees but these two districts are notorious for that (Lakki Marwat was part of Bannu district few decades ago). All Pashtuns are stereotyped for such vice but not all KPK is like that. Others from KPK will point fingers at Bannu/Lakki. It's at epidemic level in the two districts.
2- She also mentioned Drug addiction issue. Lakki Marwat is plagued by that. Young men are getting wasted by addictions of chars and heroin.
3- By "Islamic", she meant religious (in ritualistic sense). Let's be honest, religious in our society means going to mosque five times, never miss fasting, going to Hajj etc. Lakki Marwat is perhaps the most "religious" region of KPK. People never miss their prayers in the mosques, majority of men have beards, never miss fastings, regularly go to Tablighi ijtimas and what not. Women of Lakki Marwat wear shuttlecock burqas. The general idea in our region is that by offering prayers, or by going to Tabligh, you will be reformed, and you will become a good human being. Her question was in that context that why the society is getting degraded further even though it is apparently very Islamic/religious.
4- Zakir Naik asked her if there is "zinna" there?. By that he meant the adultery between men and women. The answer is; adultery is comparatively very low as there are severe deadly consequences for that. Women are zealously guarded by men there. On the other hand, there are no consequences for adult men who keeps a boy as passive partner and sleeps with them. Neither are they shamed by for that, not even by local Mullahs. Adult men are public about it, and are boastful about it. Twisted version of masculinity. On the other hand the passive partner (or victim) is shamed by the society for being taken like a woman.
5- The young woman (I assume a student) was rightfully concerned. Situation is further deteriorated in Lakki Matwat. In the past, if boy refused to become passive partner and was not tempted by the "favours" (money, gifts etc.), usually it was end of the story. But these days, low lives and thugs are murdering boys for refusing to become passive partners. Keep in mind that she is not in isolation, she must have brothers and young male cousins, and she would be naturally concerned about this whole thing.
6- Mullahs (who are Deobandi in this region) indeed refuse to talk about this issue, as far as my observation goes. They tend to avoid certain topics on Friday, and would mostly focus on topics of ibadaat, women, Hijab, sectarian stuff etc. Moreover, they themselves are afflicted with this vice/sin. But the difference is that Mullahs do it secretly while the common low-lives do not hide their pederasty and keep the boys openly. Mullahs can drastically change the society if they begin to shame the pederasts, since people there do listen to Mullahs.
In my opinion, the girl should not have approached Zakir Naik for the solution. He is not an intellectual or social commentator. He is just a shallow debater. Even if he had understood her question properly, he still would not have given her a meaningful reply.

Totally agree with host perspective. Somethings to add here, Urdu is not Zakir Naik's mother tongue, so there is a chance that he might have meant to say something which he was not able express exactly in Urdu and was picked up by our efficient awam. Being a Pakistani, I know how our people (specially media people) have mastered the art of making mountain of molehill. We have simply exposed ourselves... nothing else. Having said that, I do agree that sister Palwasha's question was mishandled by Dr. Zakir Naik he could have answered this politely but human can make mistakes even if they are as noble as Dr. zakit Naik.

By the way, Zakir Naik did not appreciate India or Indians on the PIA issue. What he was saying was only that his greatness was appreciated even by Indians (meant as Hindus, and hence considered low in his opinion) but not by Pakistanis (of whom one could legitimately have high expectations, being the chosen ones of Allah). This man claims that if he had remained in India, every Hindu would have accepted Islam. This, in his opinion is the reason for the government to charge him falsely of hate speech and money laundering. If he was in fact able to cast such a spell on Hindus, it is ridiculous to claim that a representative government would be going after him. Even his claims of having converted a huge number of Hindus is dubious. I don't think he can provide any proof in support of his claim. The crowds attending his speeches are overwhelmingly muslim. Unfortunately, it is easy to draw huge crowds in the name of religion anywhere in this sub-continent, and particularly so in the name of Islam. Those crowds do not suggest his popularity among Hindus, Muslims, Sikhs or Christians, at least in India. His claims seem fraudulent and are only aimed at attracting followers from among Muslims, and their donations in appreciation for his supposed services to Islam. For his followers, his dubious claims become gospel truth. Not surprising for a people who are the most socially, economically, educationally and culturally backward.
