Carpet heelflip Aahh!! I do want to try the twin nose, it sounds interesting. I used to ride my boards backwards, but noselides and crooked grinds were harder I feel. And I would miss the flick on some tricks. Looks like fun, man, cheers. Thanks for sharing with us.

Justin Joslin If you think you’re more likely to move up to 8.25 in the future, then definitely get 148 trucks. If you think you’re more likely to go down to 8.0, then get a pair of 147s. I used to ride 149s on an 8.25, it didn’t bother me. Just more truck to land on 😁

I often find myself having to adjust and stand on the front ball area of my feet (almost skating on my toes only) as the overhang is just too much. Just picked up Neen's signature 8.125 today and am excited to see how it works out. Your idea of finding that middle area sounds like the right plan and my advice would be to check your shoe size in comparison.

The perfect truck would be the Thunder 147 for the 8.125 but the deck is right in the middle between the 8.0 and 8.25 axle on the Thunder 148s. What you should take away--is exactly what he mentioned in passing: Spitfire FF 52mm OG Classic (i.e., smaller, thinner wheel with a thinner ride patch). His rep who sent him the equipment knows what truck/wheel combinations work that won't require any changes to the way he skates; probably sent what they had on hand: if it were Thunder 147's he'd likely be sending him some FF Spits Conical fulls as is probably Neen's first choice; but going with the Thunder 148s, they obviously had a conversation beforehand to discuss--they need him on new trucks and if 148's go w/ the thinner wheel to account for the difference, keeping flippy tricks feeling the same for him. Wider truck but an imaginary line from the board's edge where he flicks to the outer edge of the wheel's ride patch--that line is about the same with this combo. That's Neen's lever.

Anyone know why he takes off the shield on the bearings
allows the dirt to get in and out of your bearings. I usually pop off the shields after a month or two. Bronson Raw's are shieldless as well.
I think I've heard him mention that he does it because he likes having the noise when he's rolling. In one of his older videos.
