N scale Winter Christmas train layout from start to finish!

Hope everyone had a great holiday season! NO O scale trains were harmed in the making of this video, don't worry!!! Hahaha.
This was a project lily and I worked on a little here and there since November. I originally was going to just have some old DC Engines running on it but I learned some awesome new things that Broadway Limited Imports is doing and I jumped the band wagon! You'll see a slide show from start to finish of this fun little layout that measures approximately 30"x40". Afterward there is a running session with a bunch of views and sounds. The layout is basically done except I would like to add lighting to the structures and add more little details and scenes. Feel free to ask any questions. I'll try to answer as best as I can....I'm still kinda a newbie in n scale lol.

Great little n scale layout. Just saw this and it’s April. Music got me back into the Christmas mood lol. It’s amazing how much technology they can fit in the small engines with dcc, sound and all. Great looking scenery as well!

Hi I'm not so interrested in trains or layout because I don't have the roomspace for it.
But I love , how you did it. Looks so realistic with the little figures on it. Lovely trains, nice sound of the trains.

Thank you very much! That is the nice thing about N scale is you can make a mini layout even smaller then this one and still enjoy a train running.

It is amazing what can be accomplished in a small space. Excellent work. I just started a 4x4 foot N gauge layout and learning as I go along. I also am using KATO track, you can’t beat Kato for its reliability. 👍👍👍.

Very nicely done and the sound takes this over the top! I was thinking about doing a similar, scratch-built layout in time for Christmas this year. I'm thinking about topping it off with an an N scale town square Christmas tree wrapped in multicolor LEDs. This gives me some ideas. Thanks!

How did you wire the tracks? Is one transformer powering both trains or do you have two separate power packs? I can’t find anything on double circuit operations.
One power source but it’s running on DCC so it’s command controlled. If you want DC you’d need two separate transformers

Would love to see a Christmas tree shape/cone layout. Double or single track that has them going up and coming down.
Thought of that idea before. Like the polar express climbing the mountain. Would have to travel across a bridge then back down a second mountain.

So, what happened to your old N scale layout?
RedEye Productions right after I made the video of the old n scale layout I decided to sell it. Honestly it has some major issues with the trackwork and derailments were non stop. Also, I'm not a fan of plaster cloth. It's too brittle. This one is just perfect now. 🙌🏼

I ran both sets of wires to the nce. Both to positive side and negative. Nothing fancy :)

Sam'sTrains hey Sam. Thank you. I wouldn't say better, the sound quality is great in these engine but nothing compared to an o scale Legacy type locomotive. However I think the cab chatter is much more realistic sounding than what Lionel uses. It would be nice to hear some more detailed dialogs like this in Lionel trains.
Yeah. Maybe sometime in the future. It would be really nice to have something o gauge that had the same sort of crew dialog. Although I wish Lionel would use different horns in their diesels because it is starting to get a little boring.
What is the radius of the curves in the layout? From both tracks. Thanks.
How was the stone arch viaduct made?
Hand carved out of pink foam insulation.
