The instrumental is switched with Wendy Moten's Come In Out of the Rain! This is in my top 10 for OPM songs and ballads in general, since it was popularized by Sheryn Regis whose cover I adore!!
Not the full song but I found out the climaxes lined up perfectly YEARS ago. Really happy I was able to legitimately mix them with a video editor now, instead of trying to play both of the TH-cam videos of the acapella and instrumental over each other at the same time lol.

The photo is of Mariah in Düsseldorf in 1994, I couldn't find a picture of her in the rain in '92 and this one was really pretty sooo...

yeah, the big moments in the vocal are kinda on the offbeat in the instrumental for some of the parts
and the backgrounds make the first part of the bridge a lil wonky
