3 would be best, as namchi falls on the way to slg from pelling via ravangla, so you can do 2 sites on the same day. But you have to get out early in the morning from pelling. While going to pelling take the jorethang route, come back via namchi. (But you will miss temi tea garden this way) And if you want to visit temi, you need a short detour between ravangla and namchi (for 1hr). But since you did not mention temi, so 3 would be good
it would be very useful if you could give the date of the trip so that the viewer is aware of how recent it is - this is because (a) road conditions change (2) travel formalities in terms of covid protocols keep on changing . What was valid in August 2020 may not be be valid in October 2021 because right now the rules are different and the direct roads are blocked due to land slides

Well mam, I did not find auto rickshaws in Sikkim, four wheelers and two wheelers are the main medium of communication. Sikkim being a hilly state, is not favourable for three wheelers. :)
It takes around 5 and half hours from Siliguri to Pelling. And legship falls on the way to Pelling. And if you want to go to legship from pelling, then you can take the shared cabs going to legship or geysing, these cabs will drop you at legship, Infact any transport going from pelling to Siliguri, Gangtok, Ravangla, namchi, jorethang etc has to pass through legship. Pelling to legship is around an hour.
