Awesome and hilarious commentary and back stories.
Fantastic production.
THanks! It's a learning process. You can see that from group one to group four. Better color correction, better editing, more comfortable and complete voice over. I just ran out of time or I would have had engine sound overlays for each driver and a bit more flavor. I threw myself into the time trials looking for a high level of production so I could practice before I do the races. This video had 4 cameras per car, so four clips per -start attempt-. I had something like 50+ clips from each camera... and due to errors on my part, they were not all alligned, so clip 7 on camera A was not nessessarilly the same car as clip 7 on camera B.
Lessons learned.
@@WMDRacing Most welcome brah. I'm right there with you. GryphonSoul Diecast Motorsports has been online about a year now. Rebuilt the track 5 times and working on #6 at the moment. I use 5 cameras, 4 stationary and the chase camera in my hand. Talk about editing nightmares, I have them. LOL!
The bigger the field the more work, time, editing and chances for errors. And many of my broadcasts are around 30 minutes. I usually do 32 and 64 car brackets but learning to break them down to smaller groups for broadcasts. Breaking down a event to 8 cars/laps per episode helps in editing and time but extends to event that much longer.
I still have a ways to go. My downfall is I hate reading technical instructions. If I can't plug in and play, I'm pretty much lost. LMAO! But I make it work as I continue to learn the tricks.
Have a great week and
"Keep your roof to the Sun". Mahalo! 🤙🏽
@@WMDRacing And like the explosions and effects in your videos I have no clue how to do stuff like that. Someday. :)
I use Premier Pro. The special effects I am using right now are just little movie clips I drop in place, size properly and then have to manually track to keep them roughly in the same place with a moving camera.
@@WMDRacing Well damn you're putting in extra extra work just adding those effects. Tips my hat to you. Great job my friend.
Fantastic! I like how dangerous the track is. Reflects the times appropriately
Thanks! It's a combination of design and incompentence! It's my first track, so its not going to be perfect, but I also wanted to build in enough speed and irregularity to make sure the track was interestingt to watch and made enough drama for things like the land mines that went off under Legacy or the smoke that blinded Evalynn Wheels.
Awesome all around... the back stories are great and give an added dimension and interest to the "characters"!
That was my hope! To create story and narrative, both implied and direct.
Hang on tight.
The Piston Junction Switchback takes skill, steel and luck!
Damn 12.7 that’s a good time, it seems finally I have a build that may actually stand a chance. Great commentary and great runs by this groups drivers.
That bruiser flies down the track and drives stable, so I have to agree - its a good build. It's not the FASTEST, but I would absolutely say its a contender in a multicar race.
wow jester rockerd it
Extremely wonderful production!
Yes he did! Mathilda was supposed to be in this set, but in looking at the footage, it looks like I only got one run of her, and apparently I forgot to record the other run. Which feels dumb. I wnted to wait for Mathilda to be showcased like she deserveds.
Fantastic racing
I always appreciate your support.
DIGGIN IT! GR8 SHOW I WILL BE HERE FOR EVERY RACE! GR8FUL 4U
Thanks! If you want to send in a car, there's still time. Details are on Redlinederby.com!
Loving the lore and commentary. Keep rhe great job going hun. Ya got this.
THank you kindly! Any particular car or driver you liked?
@@WMDRacing MrDarq for me, but he's sure got competition.
Mr. Darq is AWESOME. He even has a custom figurine - you saw him standing with Miles PerHour in the initial intro!
Great stuff especially for just being time trials. Your a natural at calling the action. Great work!!
Cheers for the ongoing action!
Nice job, KingJester!! 💯😎🏁
Fun stuff once again, StarCorps! I think the announcing is getting more snappy and crisp, with that brand of humour borne from the wastelands!
Thanks much! Anything in particular you liked, or any suggestions? I'm always looking for actionable feedback.
@@WMDRacing because you asked, the filming was a touch iffy, losing the car in frame on several occasions. I would like to see the start tunnel lit more and a consistent look there established.
Seeing Puff's vehicle impact the finish timer off the jump leads me to think a rearrangement would help, long-term. Lower the ramp height, if not remove it entirely, or raise the timer but not so much it isn't in sight of the finish line camera.
_All of this said,_ my enthusiasm for your vision and work remains as high as ever!
@@WMDRacing some other thoughts, your announcing comes through great, obviously honed with the intensity that arises from lots of tabletop roleplay experience! By all means, keep using the little explosion effects where appropriate, that helps sell the theme, which I was on board with from the first. Great worldbuilding with the drivers' bio cards, my only question is, while they're fantastic here in time trials, will their use translate well during actual race episodes, how could that affect the pacing of the show? Definitely take some snippet of those bios to mention for the driver sitting at the P1/Pole for each race.
My intention with the racing, when I only have four cars and four races, so a total of 16 clips to work with is to give each driver an introduction and - as they progress - tell more about them.
I am working with spoolheads to build a new custom final approach and intigrated jump right now.
Looking good man!
Thanks kindly!
Great video.
Thank you very kindly!
Fun buncha races
Hell yeah! Thank you.

@@WMDRacing the best!
You are such a talented storyteller! My son can do that, and it vlows me away... I can't. This tournament is shaping up to be very entertaining. Do you have a leaderboard? I'd like to know.
I have one but I just rejiggered how we are recording times, so I need to redo it.
