If you haven't seen the MV for "Kimi No Sei De" you really need to check it out. (It's a Japanese MV, so you will have to search for it, but it shouldn't be that hard to find.) You wouldn't know it by these performances, but this can be an emotional, sad song depending on how you interpret the lyrics. The story in SHINee's "Kimi No Sei De" -- which in Japanese translates to mean "Because of You" -- MV, is about a woman who died who was a very big SHINee fan (a "baby blue"), and her boyfriend attended SHINee's concert after she died to relive her memory and to feel closer to her spirit. He had bought the tickets as a surprise for her, but she died before they could attend the concert together. What you will see in the MV version is the boyfriend reliving a memory of her while he cries watching SHINee perform this song in concert. Just like everything SHINee does, the MV has a very unique concept because it used concert footage to create an MV that has an actual storyline and plot. The Tokyo Dome performance is the performance they used in the MV version. One of the reasons why the lyrics talk about "baby blue" is because, as you know, SHINee's fan color is pearl aqua, so the blue in the song is referring to Shawols. In other words, in the MV, if the guy had never met this amazing SHINee fan and fell in love with her, he would have never had to feel the pain of losing her, etc. So SHINee are singing about how everything they do is "because of you" our fans -- our "baby blues". I missed your SHINee reactions 😍 Everytime I'm watching the 2018 performance, it feels like they are fighting the whole concert. At some points it's hard to watch, but when I watched it the first time it reassured me that they will be ok.
I kept coming back to say things 😄I was never able to watch the 2018 performance. That concert was scheduled before Dec 2017, and they didn't cancel after what happened with Jong as a way to communicate with fans and share their love for Jonghyun. So you can see in little details they were so moved. Taemin covering Jonghyun's parts, Key being emotional and very agressive with his movements, Minho being so in touch with the audience and the members... I felt like watching it today for the very first time with you and it was really moving. But I think it's good for me watch these peformances now. So thanks.
So Key had a cooking show where a short part of Everytime chorus was used as intro music. I hadn't dug into SHINee discography by then, I was just getting my Minkey fix watching that ep. Anyway I got hooked on that "shoobi doo bop bop" part. Jazz enthusiast in me loved it a ton lot. Imagine my surprise when I eventually found out this was a whole song AND by SHINee themselves? These are the kind of SHINee songs that make SHINee musical discography IMPECCABLE.
Instant serotonin boost is what Lucky Star gives me. I was new to their discography, the poppy sound doesn't always impresses me but something about this song, it stayed with me even when the song had ended and I had moved on to another songs

The only live performance of that one was during the "From Now On" concert. As for the recs, I would honestly recommend any show by them (especially from SWCIII and forward), both the SHINee Worlds and the Tokyo Domes. But how about, hmm, the 2014 Tokyo Dome? It's called "I'm Your Boy" and yes, it's the one with "Born to Shine" by Key so you would have to watch that one again (a tragedy, right?). Honest opinion : Best From Now on 2018 concert has the best audio and video quality from SHINee Concert. The other one following that concert is Tokyo Dome 2018 Fanmeeting. The second Kimi no Seide's stage is from DxDxD concert, actually one of the best concert too but i dunno why they edited Kimi no Seide's audio too much, i dont think they did lypsinc tho. Another best audio from Korean concert is SWC V concert. I suggest you react to it ^^
SHINee's "Lucky Star" is a fan favorite and it's usually one of the last songs they perform at their Japanese concerts and "Sing Your Song" is also a song you need to see them perform in concert. I hope you will do a lot more reactions to their live performances, or better yet to a full concert. You really need to see and hear all of SHINee's songs performed live in concert. If you think the MVs are good, you will discover the live versions are even better.
First off, happy birthday~ Just came back from the Kimi no Seide reaction and I think the energy was especially aggressive in the 2018 performance because it was right after Jonghyun passed and they were definitely going through the grieving process during that one. I think they were trying to fill the space as best as they could while also giving energetic performances, but there are a couple of moments in that one where there is anger or sadness where there might not have been otherwise. The lyrics probably didn't help that sentiment either. But yeah it's an intense choreo to begin with for such sad lyrics.

Everytime is an amazing song!! I looove it. SHINee does that style so well. Sing Your Song is an anthem for SHINee World. And the behind the scenes for that MV are so cute! Taemin was a little down while "playing" the piano outside, so Onew did a lot of things to making him laugh. Also Taemin lost a cellphone accidentally trowing it off the roof... Also there are pictures of Onew carrying around Key... Idk, many cute stuff happened while they film that. PD: Happy Birthday!!

I think it's best to start from the first concert if you wanna see how the guys was at first and how thet improved themselves more and more in every concerts. I think the first and second concert are so precious because there are so much of their discography that really deserves to be discovered. From the third concert it's another world, they really changed and improved themselves and give us so much and every performance is amazing. 2018 concert was hard to watch and I really refused to watch it for so long but this year finally I got to see it and was amazing. At first it hurts but thanks to them I was healed. I cried and smiled.

Happy birthday! Did you get to look up the lyrics to Kimi no sidei? I understand it as being about pretending to be fine and trying to hard to fake being fine after loosing someone. So that's why the aggressive "sexy" chreo goes with a sad song. I actually really love that choreo after reading the lyrics. For concerts, as others have said, SWC4 is probably the best all-round, but SWC3 and SWC5 are also phenomenal (really all Shinee concerts are great), if you want to watch one you haven't seen as much of. I prefer Korean concerts because I feel like the members are more comfortable and have more fun during the talking parts.

I like the 2018 performance more too (the other performance you saw was from DxDxD 2016 concert). For Everytime, they performed it live in their From Now On concert 2018 (same concert with Kimi No Seide). If you're watching a full concert, I suggest you start with SHINee World 5. That's my fave Korean concert. For Japanese my fave is From Now On 2018. But yeah, not recommending as 1st one since it can get emotional. I would say go for DxDxD or I'm Your Boy first. there's no mv for everytime because it was released in 2018, after jonghyun's passing. it was one of the last recorded songs of shinee as ot5 along with from now on.
A lot of Japanese songs are extremely Iconic because how important they are at concerts, mainly Tokyo Domes but you know, also those 30 arena shows before them. They are like Shawol anthems at this point (Sing your Song, Lucky Star, Downtown baby, Dazzling girl). All purely fun good vibes songs to jump and with those fanchants perfectly made to bring the crowd interaction to the max level. Also also, these concerts usually are with a live band ("SHAband", who would have thought?) so that adds to these vibes you were feeling about the instrumentals. I personally have a deep love and gratitude towards J-Shawols for making these songs and their live shows so good for everyone around and the 5HINee guys specially.

In the Kimi No Seide clip from Tokyo Dome the sound was just badly synchronized with the picture. I believe it's not the issue with the concert DVD, but with the uploaded video. And as for the 2018 performance, since the song is about the wounds left by losing someone you loved, there is a lot of raw emotion in their performance. Oh, and I've always found the Sing Your Song MV incredibly cringy, but there is a fan version with fake subtitles, which makes it much funnier.

Happy birthday 🎂 and I love all SHINee concerts but my all time favorite is SW IV in Seoul. From the beginning to the end their performance is amazing. The song selection, choreography, live vocals, interaction with the fans, etc is top notch ❤
Happy birthday! Did you get to look up the lyrics to Kimi no sidei? I understand it as being about pretending to be fine and trying to hard to fake being fine after loosing someone. So that's why the aggressive "sexy" chreo goes with a sad song. I actually really love that choreo after reading the lyrics.
For concerts, as others have said, SWC4 is probably the best all-round, but SWC3 and SWC5 are also phenomenal (really all Shinee concerts are great), if you want to watch one you haven't seen as much of. I prefer Korean concerts because I feel like the members are more comfortable and have more fun during the talking parts.
SHINee is truly a group, always trying new things. Love them so much ♥️ if SHINee isn't In kpop. Kpop won't be like now

Thank you Sir Austin!!! Love their Japanese songs.. fave is Kimi No Seide. Yes this is actually a sad song, and there's something in the melody that makes me emotional. I like the 2018 performance more too (the other performance you saw was from DxDxD 2016 concert). For Everytime, they performed it live in their From Now On concert 2018 (same concert with Kimi No Seide).
If you're watching a full concert, I suggest you start with SHINee World 5. That's my fave Korean concert. For Japanese my fave is From Now On 2018. But yeah, not recommending as 1st one since it can get emotional. I would say go for DxDxD or I'm Your Boy first.

About favorite concert, my favorite Korean concerts are SWC4 and SWC5, Japanese favorite concerts are: DxDXD and From Now On!
I believe that the best ones to react at this moment are: SWC5 and DxDxD precisely because you haven't seen so many presentations of these concerts yet! 🙂

there's no mv for everytime because it was released in 2018, after jonghyun's passing. it was one of the last recorded songs of shinee as ot5 along with from now on.

A lot of Japanese songs are extremely Iconic because how important they are at concerts, mainly Tokyo Domes but you know, also those 30 arena shows before them. They are like Shawol anthems at this point (Sing your Song, Lucky Star, Downtown baby, Dazzling girl). All purely fun good vibes songs to jump and with those fanchants perfectly made to bring the crowd interaction to the max level. Also also, these concerts usually are with a live band ("SHAband", who would have thought?) so that adds to these vibes you were feeling about the instrumentals.
I personally have a deep love and gratitude towards J-Shawols for making these songs and their live shows so good for everyone around and the 5HINee guys specially.

Weee japan releases! But yeah about the Kimi no Sei De performance.. The DxDxD at Tokyo Dome dvd is filmed so beautifully but the audio sounds so weird. I'm a stickler for live audio mixing but that dvd sounds like everything comes from mics hanging in the room or something. It's a shame since I love so many performances they did in that concert.

In the Kimi No Seide clip from Tokyo Dome the sound was just badly synchronized with the picture. I believe it's not the issue with the concert DVD, but with the uploaded video. And as for the 2018 performance, since the song is about the wounds left by losing someone you loved, there is a lot of raw emotion in their performance.
Oh, and I've always found the Sing Your Song MV incredibly cringy, but there is a fan version with fake subtitles, which makes it much funnier.
