We are thrilled to bring you an inspiring and emotional conversation with Steelers great Troy Polamalu. For over 75 minutes, Patrick Peterson, Bryant McFadden and Polamalu reminisce on their fondest football memories. First, BMac shares a letter that Troy wrote to him 12 years ago and describes how impactful it remains to him to this day. The bond and brotherhood is wholly apparent during this segment. The guys then discuss another emotion from the do-it-all safety: anger. The 2010 Defensive Player of the Year recalls when he lost his temper vs. the Chargers and Keenan McCardell. Next, our esteemed guest breaks down what it meant to hear praise from Pittsburgh legends and when he felt like he belonged as a real member of the organization. And don't let the appearance fool you, Troy was a prankster too and BMac tells an epic story of a preseason game in 2006. The trio goes on to chat about Troy's on-field fashion and his incredible football IQ before swapping stories about a DB coach they all shared, Ray Horton. Troy addresses a viral story from Pat McAfee as well as the end of his career with the Steelers and if he was tempted to join the Tennessee Titans. Finally, Superlatives and more flower-giving to finish the show.

ABOUT THE SHOW: Patrick Peterson and Bryant McFadden have made a living for their coverage skills on the football field, and while it's a different technique, they're now applying those traits on their new podcast 'All Things Covered'. Instead of wide receivers, tight ends and running backs, they'll be covering sports, entertainment, social issues, personal interests and more. Every week, the 8-time Pro Bowler Peterson and 2-time Super Bowl champion McFadden will discuss what's happening on the gridiron as well as what intrigues them off the field. Each week they'll welcome a star from the sports and entertainment world to have wide-ranging conversations about what interests them. Guests can include active or former football players but also athletes and influencers from other sports and walks of life. Football is how we know our hosts, but far from what defines Pat and BMac. The name says everything; expect all things to be covered!

You're all still Steelers. It was this video that now been my favorite moment. I loved watching Troy play and I missed seeing him play.
When you hear the guys underneath the helmet to hear what they have to say about their experiences, their life, their outlooks, their relationships, etc. is what I have come to really appreciate hearing from them.
Yes, each of these guys were/are football players and each had their own highlights on the field, but there is so much more just from that brotherhood of the field and how other aspects of everything in their life impacts everything. Awesome to hear the three of you to have this conversation, these shared memories, and seeing and hearing the appreciation of what has occurred in your lives.

B-Mac, I genuinely feel you. Mad you made me tear up like many of your audience. But, it is true. When life tears you away from the things you love, it is the hardest thing to come back from. I was just 14 years old when I was a victim of an assault. I was left paralyzed and have not walked ever since. The assault took much more than my ability to walk. It took away my dreams and aspirations. Everything I loved and everything I looked forward to achieving as an athletic youth. I was looking forward to playing baseball and football in high school and one day playing for the New York Yankees. My favorite teams are the Yankees and the Steelers. I found resolution in watching those 2 teams play and win. Football and baseball is so therapeutic to me. Man, if you only knew how much I love and enjoy watching the games. I appreciate you for sharing that letter, and I appreciate Troy for writing you that letter because it not only benefited you but it also benefited me, and hopefully many other who are watching and listening to your podcast. This is such a beautiful episode; it encapsulates what Steelers football is, which is far more than just a game. This team brought our city together at a point when it felt like it was falling apart (as all three of our teams have, in their own time). The Steelers are special to us and men like Troy keep that spirit alive. These athletes give us hope because they bring their uniqueness to, and share their lives with, our city and our people. In doing so, they have made themselves world-wide representatives of Pittsburgh. You all know who they are: the adopted Yinzers. On the field, Troy was a JOY to watch; off the field, a JOY to listen to. He was my Mom's second favorite Steeler (preceeded only by Franco, fittingly so) and I have both of her Polamalu jerseys. I'm telling you that there is a special energy...and pride...when I wear either one of them, and it has made my appreciation for the man grow, even to this day. Thank you, Troy! Pittsburgh is fortunate to have had you be one of us! We are forever greatfull to you for your time, efforts, and love while wearing our beloved Black and Gold.

I have always had so much respect for Troy. Polamalu never liked it when our team played against him, but he was definitely one of my favorite safeties in the NFL.

This episode was soooo dope!!! Troy is my favorite Steeler of all time and I definitely feel blessed to have been old enough to appreciate really how good he was his whole career. I was lucky enough to meet him one time. I was a manager of a clothing store down at The Waterfront and Troy came in once with his wife and kids. He was the nicest person, just like you would expect from how he has always carried himself. I got to meet multiple Steelers cuz our store used to supply some of the clothes for the Steelers fashion show each year back in the day. And I'll be honest, some of the players were not very nice. I'm not gonna name any names, but a couple just treated us like they were so much better than us and they couldn't be bothered to even say hi. And I was the manager so it wasn't like I was bothering them, I had to speak with them to make sure the sizes were correct and their clothing choices were what they wanted. But specifically Troy, Ike Taylor and some may not remember but running back Verron Haynes were the coolest, nicest and most down to earth people when they didnt have to be. I know things with Troy and the Steelers were a little rocky after his career initially ended but I'm glad they seem to have patched things up. Troy needs to be part of the Steelers family forever and I'm glad that he is. Such a dope human. ✌️❤️ to Steelers Nation!!!
