There's no other sound like it... Having grown up along the N&W in mingo county, WV....it's music to my ears. The mighty steam locomotive... Thanks for sharing.

I will be posting more of the 1218 from the 1991 NRHS convention trip in the next week or two. I also have some 611 footage to upload this week.
Amazing! That's it. They simply have to fire up 1218 again asap. Everybody wants it to happen and I feel that eventually it will happen again.
Very good video! Wonder what the average speed was, and how many cars was it pulling? Seems I counted about a hundred...🤣!
