I met Juanita in 1987. Such a nice girl. She posed for so many photos with me signed everything I had. Nothing was to much trouble and with so many people screaming pushing shoving around us. She just wanted to please her fans🌟 I also remember calling in during a telethon and asked to speak to Courtney but she was on a call ,somehow Juanita heard about me missing out and took over my call without even being asked, just so I would not miss out on speaking to a YTT member and she was just so nice .She would also send such nice letters when I wrote to her. RIP Juanita I still enjoy watching your YTT performances to this day. (La Bamba & Believe In The Beat and your first show of course are my favorites 💞
😥💔 Just so achingly heart breaking in hindsight of the tragedy that would come to take her precious life . Juanita and I are 1 day apart in age. I lived this era and could not believe the devastating circumstances in which her life would be cut senselessly short 😓I certainly always felt a connection with this beautiful performer. As a musician and of similar ethnic background , although I was raised in Sydney-, it’s just so sad to know how full of life she was and yet years later it would be taken away. Gone but never forgotten ❤️ Forever in our hearts 💕
Like many of us growing up watching YTT, it was heartbreaking watching Juanita's parents during the recent YTT special. Extremely sad and something I'm sure they'll never get over. I wouldn't wish the loss of a child on anyone. I hope they are doing ok.
Juanita was my very favourite of the Young Talent Team. I still think of her every day & live life just a little brighter in memory of the talented & beautiful young lady we lost far too early. R.I.P. Juanita. 💖
Juanita was NOT the driver of the car in which she was killed - who starts these ridiculous rumours? She was a passenger. The fact of the matter is - the driver was the only one responsible for this crash, in which two lovely people were killed, and she now has to live with that forever. She could have been responsible, she wasn't, and I hope she has now learnt her lesson, because the rest of us have had to deal with this every day since.
No more inappropriate than having Bobby Driessen sing a song about buying condoms:-) I think this is song is fine for her because it works on an innocent level too.
Feel for her starting the show only to be axed the next year u would be not happy Jan about that. It must be haunting for the other team members to remember her vivacious life force that was ripped out of this world. She donated her organs and I am a organ recipient so I am eternally grateful for the person who gave me my eye sight back. I pray for her parents that the Lord will embrace their hearts everyday. 💕
Such a wonderful talent, great singer and dancer (too many performers have one but not both). But I have to say, what a completely inappropriate song for an 11 year old to sing! There was a lot of great music around then, would have been nice if the producers picked a song a little more suited to such a young girl.

Such a Beautiful girl inside and out, R.I.P still can't believe Juanita was taken so young in such a tragic way it's heartbreaking
Watching this kind of upset me because she had no idea what her fate would eventually be
RIP, Bella xx

In the 1987-1988 versions of the 1986/1987 song Something Special in this episode, the Oberheim DMX was heard.
