One of the most underrated you tube personalities.
Damned with faint praise! No! I am sure he is well appreciated by his followers. I am sure you meant well 🙂
I'm here for the legendary Gjeebs camera transitions.
@scut1179 Exactly what I love about Gjeebs: never get bored with his content!
Yes, pretty smooooth
Not just in performance or luxury brands, If you spec up a Corolla or a civic to have heated seats you are basically the same price range as base model 3.
Yea that is really crazy
The BMW trolling was God Level LOL!!!!
Got my m3p last month. It is a very good car.
Cost of ownership is bargain for me vs anything else comparable gas powered.
@germanicviking6462 this is actually my second model 3p. I had one in red which I had ordered the first day they were available. And had driven from August until December, then I got run off the road by an incompetent driver that lost control of their car and it totalled mine.
So for how about a month until my car was delivered I was driving a rental Camry. It was a hi trim and it's a nice enough car. But that just served to reinforce how crude so-called regular cars are. The car was festooned with switches and buttons it's driver aids didn't work very well, and I was spending about a hundred a week in fuel.
With my model 3p I'm spending less than $100 a month for electricity, and everything just works. Full self-driving has gotten dramatically better since I picked up my car, and I trust it for end and driving on mountain roads.
Picking mine up Tuesday hurray
Love the video and love my “Y”. Nothing better than plug in at home and that’s it.
Great video as always, I’ve been impressed with how your content and video production have evolved over the years. One clarification on who qualifies for the $7500 Federal EV tax credit:
For single people, the threshold is not if you earn $150,000 a year or less (Gross Income), rather it is if your modified adjusted gross income (AGI) is less than $150,000 a year. So for example, if my annual salary is $200,000, and I have $51,000 in itemized deductions, my AGI would be $149,000 and therefore I would qualify for the tax credit. In other words, even more people qualify for the credit than they probably realize. Realistically for people taking the standard deduction (which is about $15,000/year) that means you could earn $164,000 and still have an AGI below $150,000. For homeowners or parents with tons of itemized deductions your Gross Income could be much higher and your AGI could still fall below $150,000.
Good clarification. Thank you
Thank you for this, no one seems to know any of the stipulations when I ask
With a bmw you can do anything on the road. Run red lights. Turn left while signaling right. Stop at a green light. Blow stop signs. Put a chic behind that. Road unlocked.
The "luxury" in a Tesla is in the engineering, not shiny trim, switches, bells, whistles, or over priced options packages.
Agreed. The 3 series are good cars, but they still have plastics in the door panel, wood veneers, fake metal, piano black plastics, and a million buttons. I owned a 15 MB C300 before buying a MYP... I'll give the Germans build quality, but their long-term mechanical reliability and maintenance cost out weights the minor panel gaps and annoying rattles with older Tesla's. The new 3 and Y are definitely more solid, and they will keep getting better as more data comes in. My only gripe is the service experience is horrible where I live, but I've only gone for minor issues.
I got the Y … the cheap interior is killing me
@ Literally?
@@Teddy_M85you should really get into the refreshed models. I've been a Tesla shareholder for a long time, but I never owned one because I live in an area where there's not many Chargers and I just didn't want to deal with that.
Last year when the refresh model became available I went and did a test drive on one and the build quality is First Rate and it was dramatically more comfortable and refined than the prior version. The first day the model 3 Performance was available I ordered it, and got it in august. I drove that car 15,000 miles in 4 months including two trips from North Georgia to Boca Chica Texas for Starship launches. It took me on average about 2 hours longer to make that drive than it did in a gasoline car, but when you're driving 18 or 20 hours that 2 hours really isn't significant. And I actually arrived significantly more refreshed because during each charging stop I took about a 20 to 30 minute nap and I used full self-driving for the entire trip.
@germanicviking6462 this is actually my second model 3p. I had one in red which I Then I got run off the road by an incompetent driver that lost control of their car and it totalled mine.
I am immediately ordered a replacement model 3 which I just got.
Over my car owning history I've had a honda, BMW and Audi a mercedes, a Subaru a touota and a Porsche. This model 3p is by far the nicest car I've ever owned. Not even close.
For a dedicated sports car I would have something different, but for a daily driver which is what I'm using this for it is awesome.
The only thing I wish is that it was available as a hatchback or shooting brake. I really prefer smaller cars and hot hatchbacks.
If the refreshed model y performance were available in time, I would have bought that, but I'm very pleased with my model 3p.
Its software on wheels
It's so funny that you compared the BMW 3 series to the Tesla Model 3. I had an online "discussion" with someone that claimed all EV's are more expensive than the equivalent gas car. I brought up BMW 3 series vs. Tesla Model 3. He tried to say they don't compete. I beg to differ.
Tesla is not a luxury brand, that's why they don't compete.
@@gchetail Agree, BMW has higher quality, and yes Tesla may be faster but that's not all and an EV it is probably not that expensive to make fast vs an ICE.
Personally I prefer EV though, I think an ICE feels old-fashioned to drive.
@@gchetail I agree. Tesla is not a luxury brand. But, the 3 Series isn't really a luxury car either. Model 3 and 3 Series are both considered "entry-level luxury".
I had a 2014 Bmw 335i. Everything was leaking oil after 100k miles. Valve cover, oil filter housing, oil pan. And that shot is expensive to fix even diy because the parts are insanely expensive. Plus the new model 3, I feel has a better quality and interior. BMW 3 series with standard interior is not any better
@@justinschultz4325 I have to agree with this. A buddy of mine has a 2024 330i. It feels shockingly cheap inside, and nothing about the car was giving me luxury feelings. A tesla model 3 highland's interior is pretty similar to entry level german sedans.
EVs are awesome. Recently drove a C8 Corvette after owning a Model S Plaid. Cant believe how slow and antiquated it felt. Maybe for a weekend car, sure get gas or a hybrid like the E-ray, otherwise EV is better for 90% of use cases.
For me here is really awesome, unlimited off peak charging for only $38 a month.
13:30 AMEN! not having to stop at a gas station once every few days to few weeks but instead being able to just plug in at home is a huge goodness of owning an EV. Saves worry, time and money. It might be huge in the bad direction for you if you had to go hook up to a public charger for ten to fifty minutes once every few days. If you can't easily charge at work or home, you may be better off in an ICE-V. I would still get Perl, but I'm retired and can easily work my schedule into a quick pop over to a nearby supercharger where I can sit in my cooled or warmed Model Y and play Sudoko or watch some Netflix or TH-cam on the infotainment system while I wait for the charging to finish. By charging at a supercharger instead of at home, the cost of charging could more than triple what it would cost at home, and would therefore might cost almost as much as it would cost to run my 2015 Mustang Ecoboost, on a pennies to mile basis, though I'd still save money by not having oil changes and other ICE car maintenance.
Yes but your support cheap labour and illegal mining killing many . Shame on you
M3P Tax credit caps at $55k so in order to qualify you can either get the free color or you have to get FSD which makes your color choice free and puts it under the price cap but increases the cost to $55,490 and current referral for M3 is $2500
Thanks for your honest opinions about tesla's.
Teslas
Psst! If you make more than 150k a year, you can still take advantage of the $7500 incentive. All you have to do is buy a lightly used 2024 model. Used cars are priced as though all the discounts were already applied so people can't just buy them at a discount and immediately flip them for profit.
If you're going to gush about the advantages of the BMWs, don't forget to praise the good points of the Amish horse and buggy.
The one thing you pay for and don’t get with a BMW are indicators 😂
They’re optional.
Red model 3 performance does not qualify for the $7500 tax credit, only the grey qualifies.
If you lease it you get "Monthly lease payment already includes the $7,500 Tesla leasing incentive, which is subject to change or end at any time."
I couldn’t agree more! I test-drove a 2021 Model 3 while on vacation in North Carolina, and I absolutely fell in love with it-the visibility, smooth ride, and how incredibly quiet it is. As a daily driver, it’s a no-brainer!
It’s the perfect mix of understated luxury, and the low maintenance aspect is a huge plus. Since I’m in the city, I don’t really care about range-it’s more than enough for me to zip around, navigate tight turns, and handle obstacles effortlessly.
The refreshed model (starting in 2024) is even quieter and smoother.
Our family compares 3 to Camry/Accord. The prices are so close. Waiting on the “cheaper” for better return on investment in 2025+.
Thank you for your ongoing videos. We value them.
0:01 I recently drove a Model 3 for the first time (2023 M3 P with HW3). Mostly on the highway over two days for about 350 miles. It was my second favorite to drive car I've ever driven, but well behind Perl, my 2023 MY LR AWD HW4. Part of the reason was FSD 12.5.4 vs FSD 13.2.2: V12 was a big step back from V13. Perl is just more comfortable, and has the higher seating, which I prefer, and Perl has a flat floor (the model 3 had a weird shelf in the area I sometimes like to rest my feet. Where the M3 excelled was of course efficiency and visibility out the back -- if the Model Y has an ergonomic/safety flaw, it's the relatively restricted view out the back window; though since I generally use the rear and repeater cameras for viewing behind, the Model Y's compromised view isn't a big deal. Bottom line: I prefer the Model Y, even though the 3 could probably out accelerate the Y (but not an issue as the Y is more than fast enough for me, already), and the 3 can probably handle better, being lighter and lower, but again, the Y is already better at handling than I need. The "Highland" Model 3s, especially the Performance model, may have a better ride than the current model Y, but I wouldn't know as the M3P I drove was pre-highland and the new (juniper) model Ys are supposed to get some of the same suspension and sound dampening improvements that the highland 3s received. Were I to have to replace Perl, it would be with another Model Y.
this new model 3 so good in corners and drive extremely good. highly recommend to go for test drive.
It's going to be hard the rest of the year for us 2024 Model 3 Performance owners since the refreshed Y will steal the limelight. But for those looking at Teslas, I test drove the 3 and the Y four different times before making a decision. It was a hard decision having driven an SUV for the last twenty years and swearing I'd never go back to a sedan. But in every test drive, the 3 was significantly more fun to drive and that goes for all of the trims. The Y has the usual SUV advantages: easier to step in and out of, more vertical cargo space, and greater driver visibility because of the elevated height. However, those advantages come at a price. The 3 grips the lane, is less bouncy, and offers more precise steering. It just offers so much more confidence. If you get performance trim which has the sports seats with the extra bolstered sides, the extra snugness further increases driver confidence especially on turns.
If you will only ever have one car in your household, just get the Y as it offers practical benefits you may need from time to time-or if you have young kids, all of the time. But if your household already has a SUV and you plan to keep it, the Model 3 is a phenomenal choice.
Hey Gjeebs, love the channel! My 2022 Model 3 LR is about to hit 100k miles. Looks like I have to keep it since depreciation has slaughtered the value. It continues to be a great daily!
I drive my Model Y 55 miles one way (110) round trip. Thankfully I have the ability to charge at work, I live in a city and don't have at home charging unless I walk a block. The charging at home is $4 for the parking but free charging, not terrible. Currently I pay way to much per month but I do have FSD paid for, I could lease a Cybertruck with 10,000mi for the same monthly cost.... I have looked at leasing a new M3 with a referral code + Military +$7,500 its stupid how cheap these are. The updated Model 3 is such a great car, the suspension, materials, and sound are way better than it was a few years ago!
*federal incentive in the US, *7500 US dollars
BMW’s ‘license to not care’ is absolutely worth the price of admission!
Good stuff man. Been watching for a couple of months since purchasing a Model Y Performance. It's a big iPad golf cart that drives like a jet. Reading the Musk biography to try to understand that maniac better. Enjoying your humor etc. It's a good day to buy Tesla stock by the way (on sale at $369 something). WTF did I buy at $387 for? Do not take financial advice from the comments section!
Amen! I bought my first batch of shares higher than that back around the previous all time high a few years ago. Big loss for a while. Bought a few more small chunks over the years between, eventually tripling my original stock count. The worth of my shares, overall (even allowing for the first third to have only a small increase), did essentially double for a few weeks there during the more recent high, and will hopefully either go back up and beyond, or else drop down again so I'll be enticed to buy more. Not financial advice! But I love Elon's management philosophy and Tesla's ever evolving missions and would have really loved to have worked for Mr Musk at Tesla or SpaceX in my 30s, had those companies even been in existence.
You might consider reading "Atlas Shrugged" one day. Aynn Rand's characters are fairly 2-dimensional and unevolving in their archetypical dispositions and motivations, and her quasi-scifi plot devices may be a bit fantastic and underwhelming at the same time, but there are aspects of Elon that I see in some of her protagonists (or vice versa), and the whole exposition of political, economic and social forces that she lays out in her opus is quite intriguing. If anything, Elon seems much saner and more moral than Rand's protagonists, and driven by higher ideals, but still, she captured much of what makes Elon great in a few of her characters.
@ I tried reading Atlas Shrugged and the Fountainhead. So incredibly tedious. I was already conservative so that resonated but the work above all thing seemed unhinged. I’d hate a boss like Elon but I’m glad he and his companies exist. I’m sold on the product.
@@watchman8817 Not everyone would thrive under Elon, myself at 30 (I'm over twice that age now and retired) might have washed out under him, despite what I've said elsewhere about wishing I could have worked for someone like Elon in a company like Tesla. But I'd loved to have had a chance to try. What I find most difficult about the later years of my work were compliance tasks that had nothing to do with the production of product and existed mostly to protect against lawsuits and cover the backs of company executives. What I found less egregious in my younger days was occasionally working 80 to 100 hours or more a week in order to get the occasional emergency work done or to produce exceptionally interesting and useful computer software. I loved to hone my skill to reach some level of expertise in the current computer language of the hour (370 Assembler, PL/1, Fortran, APL, C, Rexx, Java, Awk, KSH, Perl, Python, etc) to craft the tool to be used in support of my own or other's work. I've worked jobs that were just work, too, and hated them and found them more crushing of the soul in the 40 hours of weekly work than ever I found the more demanding, nearly round the clock creative work, but I'm no longer fit for either and am thoroughly enjoying my retirement, so it's easy to say "If only I'd have Elon as a boss" when were it the actually case, it might not have worked well for me at all. Still, I love my Model Y and I love where it looks like Tesla is going and hope it takes my modest $TSLA investment up the scale in the years to come.
@@watchman8817 Yes. the first time I tried to read "Atlas Shrugged" I was totally put off; it was too dystopian and the characters too flat and not very "likeable" or easy to identify with, but since I've read it a couple of times and I've also read a little of Ayn Rand's philosophy essays as well. Not what I'd call fun reading, but I found it helpful in defining what I liked and did not like about our business and political cultures. I'm not about to say that Rand's books are great or even among my favorites (well, I guess in a way they are), but I see a lot of Elon Musk in Reardon, Francisco, Dagny and John Gault.
@@watchman8817 oh! and don't confuse Rand for a "conservative", to me she seemed closer to a Libertarian, though she felt Libertarianism had no valid philosophical basis. She and her heros were neither Christian nor conservative by any measure I'd use, though they were radically anti-socialist and anti-communist.
Tbf, a 2014 model s is already more technologically advanced than 95% of ice cars coming out in 2025. Those can be had 2k or sum.
The m3p is a absolute performance car deal. Was looking at M3 comp, but couldn't justify the cost difference* for just a nicer interior and better exterior color options. Yes the mp3 interior is minimalistic comparted to the M3, but seats are much better now vs previous years. I wish there was a smaller screen in center of steering wheel just for driving info. Performance wise the mp3 is same or better than M3 comp. Had to shop around to find insurance, as it seems Tesla insurance rates are all over the place, ended up finding it for just over $1,300 a year.
*Here is the real savings though for me having a M3P vs M3. 93 oct gas is $3.43+ a gallon here currently or $53.40 a tank, but I can get unlimited off peak charging here for $38 a month! So doesn't matter if I drive the m3p hard or not won't cost me more in charging. Where as with M3 driving it hard will end up spending even more in gas.
100% on point. I love my '22 M3P. People who gripe about Tesla's not having any soul are missing the point. It is the BEST daily driver on the planet. The effortless acceleration makes these cars an absolute blast. I wish mine was the newer model but I plan on getting the S Plaid in a year or so, because I want something a little bigger and I still prefer a sedan and I don't think I could "settle" for the LR when the Plaid exists. But even the last gen 3P is still very quick and handles so well, has an excellent sound system (new one is even better) and it's so easy to live with. I'm not sure I'd want one as my only car (I have other cars) but it is the car I always look forward to driving, when I can get to it before my wife does.
It's not a bargain in Canada. Federal incentives of $5,000 were removed, Tesla increased the price $10,000 and it's out of price range for provincial incentives of $4,000. The car is now $19,000 more expensive than it was 5 months ago.... Although i bought mine right before all the incentives were removed and the price increased. So i actually paid $41,000 for a $60,000 car.
Your video production alone deserves my like buddy! but nice video presentation enjoy your narration
What about buying used? I've been considering a couple year old used MY but I'm worried that after 5 years, when the hardware is out of date, and what happens then? Will the car still be able to use the latest fsd version?
I talk about this in the video and I like buying used just get a 2023 or newer with the latest processor. My Model Y is outdated but still gets updates and works perfectly
agree, the entry level specially, mega deal !
You are making great videos and this one is the nail in the coffin
"The BMW comes with features like being able to park in handicap spots and not use turn signals.... " 😂
Even it being a bargain I can't support this guy or the company anymore. BTW I still love your content.
Do we care about your political views in a car talk video? No so just do yourself a favor and uninterest these videos.
@ @ I never said anything about my political views. You assumed that and that’s cool. I said even it being bargain I can’t support. I would rather spend my money somewhere else. He gave his opinion. Just I gave mine, I think there are cars that offer better value too.
Great logic in this video.
Gjeebs you've got some great dry humor. Thanks for the video man.
Thanks for watching!
Big fan of your content, but wouldn't the Ioniq 6 be a more accurate comparison to the non-performance variants of the M3? I mean, the current lease of the M3 is almost unbeatable, but we need to be fair, FSD adds cost, and the Ioniq 6 HDA might not be as good as basic auto pilot but is very usable on the highway.
I love your take here. You take the boy out of fanboy. 😊
To be fair, a tax credit isn't "free money", lol. Its the gov't giving you back money you most likely already paid them. Or, at the very least, someone else's money. Nonetheless, it's welcomed.
Who cares? It’s applied as a discount when you buy the car.
@@maxtvtvtv8623 it's not a discount. It's just you getting back your tax dollar you already paid.
Why are we comparing nonEV ICEV with a BHEV?. What about the Ioniq etc? Just to keep the comparison fair🤔. Seems like you miss driving(fun) a performance ICEV😊. Best usecase of BEV being using the vehicle to max mileage. If you are in for resale value or to keep driving with low mileage for a long time, ICEV might be a good option.❤👍
It looks like the 7500 is not deducted from the msrp, its added after the taxes and fees, its more of a down payment rather than a discount.
With incentives going away later this year, will it still be a bargain?
All things considered, yes but more than most people would need so I always say look to the used market
In Colorado there is a dealer that actually sells Teslas with nice graffiti. Unique models. Only temporary. Look it up!
I pick the BLACK INTERIOR because the DOOR are Alcantara material. So I buy Alcantara RED material to put in my Center console and Dash. it looks Amazing. This car is way better than BMW i4 i5, as it drive itself, only thing I wish TESLA should make this HATCH BACK!!!!!
11:06 Tim apple 😂😂
The new model 3 is truly a luxury car interior. Very nice materials.
Too many other awesome EVs out there, rather not be seen as a social pariah and bootlicker.
What about the free coffee and stale donuts in the waiting room while you’re waiting 2 hours for the $250 oil changes at those dealerships mentioned.
The Tesla waiting room only offers figs and berries and conflict free beverages. 😂
I personally wouldn’t put the Model 3 in the luxury segment. I was daily driving a Lexus and went on vacation for 10 days we rented a model 3. Uh…the model 3 was not luxurious at all. I can’t personally speak to a BMW or Audi, and the last Mercedes I had was from 1985. But that Mercedes was damn fine haha. Anyways, I would compare this more to a fully loaded model of a Honda, Toyota, or Hyundai. Unfortunately, to make a gas car fast, it has to be expensive. So that part puts the Tesla in a weird spot because they can make it super car fast but the powertrain doesn’t have to cost a fortune. So it can’t compare there. But even with the performance, I still wouldn’t put it in Luxury car territory. So the value kind of falls flat when you compare it to the economy class cars.
With that said, I want to make a comment about ethics as I am sure many of you are. You should definitely buy products from companies you believe practice good ethical values. And companies that align with your beliefs. It is hard to recommend something just because it is good, knowing that their company is mistreating their workforce. You should look at the company as a whole. If we all start doing this more, then working conditions and job security can get better. I don’t like working in a world where even if I do really good work, I have to fear that my job can vanish at any moment for not so great reasons. So buy from a company that you can respect and feel good about supporting. I didn’t want to say anything specific because we should all draw our own conclusions.
I’ve never bought any vehicle on ethical grounds. These companies are so large and intertwined you can never know what you’re buying into or not? I’m also on my second Lexus and I also have a Model 3. The second Lexus build quality is no where near as good as the first they have definitely been reducing the quality. As such I don’t see much difference between it and the Model 3, which I prefer driving.
$7500 not for long. President Trump is taking that off
Oh he’ll probably leave it for Tesla since Elon personally spent $277 million getting him elected. Everything Frump does is transactional. He now sadly is indebted to Elmo big time.
@@jagpilotohio guess your two votes from kamala wasn't enough. lmao
i want one!
Currently, there is an additional $2500 incentive for all new Model 3. That’s $10k off! No other manufacturer is giving that kind of discount at this time of year. February 2025
It's because Elon is a Nazi. Tesla wouldn't be so desperate if he didn't out himself.
it's called desperation, due to their absolutely toxic CEO. i drive a MSP but I'll never get another Tesla until he's out.
@ It’s about popular sales. The new Y is about to come out, so they will keep the brand fresh with the current hot sale, the 3, so some deals can be made to pump out popular EVs. FYI, Musk will always be involved with Tesla, so don’t hold your breath.
@@mrswiftr6 Is that why Cybertruck sales are doing so well? Or how Teslas sales worldwide dropped, 70% in Germany? 11% in CA? 😂 You really need to stop sucking Elons balls. It's making you dumber than you already are.
Really wish I could enjoy a Tesla. But I'm in the minority that the seats hurt my back terribly so only lasted 3 months in my Model Y. Not sure why there seat backs are so different then other car seats. Switched to a Rivian and the ride and seats are soo much better. Much more expensive too of course.
"You may be complaining hey we shouldn't be subsidizing EVs. But we are sending hundreds of billions of dollars to other countries for various things. You might as well get your share of it through a vehicle." >>> Based. 🤣🤣🤣 👍👍👍
You think that's charity? That's money spent for influence...The Chinese are happy to fill that gap, & they aren't doing it to be the good guy.
I've paid $4k for repairs after 220,000 miles on my 3 performance and $0 on fuel.
How about equinox EV? They are starting cheaper than Tesla. Starts at $35000 with destination and qualify for $7500 credit. They also negotiate with bring price under $25k after tax credit.
Totally agree. Great option
waiting for the model 3 or any electric car can beat the Prius’ record in the cannonball. when do you think that will happen?
maybe 40 years id say
Discount code for the 3D mats isn’t working BTW. Will check out the Drift air freshener in the meantime.
@@Selene_M3 order has to be over $150 let me know if you still have issues
3D mats are great, have them in my truck. Just don't run your hand across the backside of them the grip fibers can impale your skin! 😵
Gold wheels on red 🔥👏
Can we be clear tho 7500 is not a rebate lol people talk about it like you’re literally getting 7500 back. It’s just helping your taxes
The 7500 is literally applied as a down payment for free to you.
@ is it? I thought it’s just a tax credit, no? Have you done this? I’m asking because if so this has not been explained to me
ChatGPT’s explanation:
The $7,500 federal tax credit for Tesla (and other EVs) works as a non-refundable tax credit, meaning it reduces the amount of federal income tax you owe for the year you purchase the vehicle. Here’s how it applies:
1. You Must Owe At Least $7,500 in Federal Taxes - The credit can only reduce your tax liability to zero. If you owe less than $7,500 in federal income taxes for the year, you won’t get the full benefit (there’s no refund for the unused portion).
2. It’s Applied When Filing Taxes - You claim the credit when you file your tax return for the year you bought the Tesla. It doesn’t come off the purchase price at the dealership (unless Tesla offers an instant rebate in partnership with financing).
3. It Doesn’t Carry Over - If your tax liability is lower than $7,500, you lose the remaining amount; it can’t be rolled over to future years.
Example Scenarios:
• You Owe $10,000 in Federal Taxes → The tax credit reduces it to $2,500.
• You Owe $7,500 or More → You get the full $7,500 benefit.
• You Owe $5,000 → You only get $5,000 in credit, and the remaining $2,500 is lost.
It was originally a rebate but starting in 2024, Dealers can give you a $7500 discount upfront and then once Dealer submits paperwork to US Gov, then the Dealer would get paid $7500 by the US Gov. So from 2024 and forwards, the buyer gets the discount off the purchase price.
Also right now an extra $2500 off all model 3s, and veterans discount of $1000, and $2000 off using a referral code. Stack up the savings baby!
You make sense!
The only fun fact about owning this is the insurance cost bump that negates other savings.
And any service or repairs if you don’t live near a Tesla center.
I got quotes for a new model 3 performance and a new loaded Camry for comparison. They were a measly $20 a year different.
It's, selling 50% off brand new in east asia compair with us.
If you are trying to buy a car and drive it as long as possible all the German luxury cars are going to be a nightmare by about 70k miles.
Yep they keep getting more expensive
That tax credit isn’t available on the performance unless you get the base price with base color and interior
@@milhousemeets6343 correct no options which is annoying
For anyone with guilt about the EV tax credit, think about the ~$800 billion the US subsidizes the fossil fuel industry year in and year out.
Also true
Why would you feel guilt? Honest question
Best bang for the buck!
How does a tax exempt organization get a tax credit when no taxes are paid?
The 7500 incentive is useless to anyone making 150K
Model 3 Performance is an amazing deal for a car with it's specs. The base rearwheel drive Model 3 is a STEAL right now for $32,500 with the tax incentive and referral discount.
my 15 k mirage is a bargain,,,,, i guess some have a different meaning of bargain lol
Goodness those wheels are sexy. Very nice. Impressive.
They're good. I think I still like the Martian Wheels MW03 better.
The reason this car is a bargain is because United States is too scared to let in superior and cheaper chinese EVs.
Tesla sales are rising??? When did you record this??? Tesla sales are sinking faster than the titanic!!!
Buy a Tesla in Europe or Australia, people are getting rid of them since the salute, so the secondary market is overstocked.
Agree!
The 2025 Honda Civic Hybrid Touring is 100x better choice than a this. At 50mpg and costing 30-31k with a much better resale value. No yearly EV tax when renew your registration. Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
I mean come on. Why does a company that’s so great have to charge $2000 for silver? Or on the Tesla website show a price with fuel saving? I mean the price doesn’t even include destination unless you click to add tax and fees. Far as I know every manufacturer shows destination included in MSRP.
Did I fail to mention after free gray every color costs 1000-2000 dollars? The colors are just standard nothing special about them.
I am going to be doing a comparison soon on both of these so stay tuned!
Yeah if you just want a putt putt hybrid. 0-60 in 6.2 and 14.9 1/4...lol
I wish we had 7500 off the price in switzerland
The US gov will likely be removing it later this year due to the new administration so we prob won't have it anymore.
Its not about the car anymore, all the prestige in owning this car has gone and the brand us toxic in the eyes of most people. Who wants to be seen driving one of Musks cars now.
I need a BMW... Parking in handicap spots sounds very appealing...😂
Damn these tesla fanboys dont factor in expensive insurance, more tire replacement cost, battery replacement, and biggest factor called depreciation. Add it all up and you arent saving at all. Yall just calculate however you want.
Btw it cost more to insure USED $35k model 3 than my NEW $120k Porsche.
You need an insurance broker it shouldn't be much
Fun and futuristic.
Gjeebs, first of all, I highly enjoy your videos and associated sense of humor. Hopefully your wife understands your humor as mine rarely does.
Next, I currently use my 2008 BMW 335i as my daily driver. I absolutely love that car but it’s a maintenance nightmare. It has been babied all its life and the AC just quit on me for the second time. Last time it’s cost $3500 to fix.
I am really liking the new model 3. My commute is 400 miles round trip and I feel like the model 3 is where I need it to be in terms of range. The hotel I stay at has Tesla chargers but it seems that if I leave the house fully charged, I may not even need to recharge there if I’m in a hurry.
Would you give up the 335i for a 2025 Model 3 if you were in my shoes?
Your commute is 400 miles?!
@ Yes. 360 to be exact, every other week. Ends up being a long day.
I don't understand why yall compare evs to ice vehicles
With the family which one are you preferring 3 or Y?
Y by far. You need the extra space with babies
i think president Trump stopped all the ev rebates
he didn't
The biggest problem that many people fear or have to deal with is the cost to install a home charge. I will never go back to gas. Love my 2023 MYP with FSD!
Comparing a BMW M4 with a Tesla…. Really?
Fascism is cheap. Until it isn’t.
Unrivaled incomparable drive dynamics in a Tesla. Just put your butt in the seat and foot on the pedal and then judge. Like crack on wheels.
You’d be Crazy to buy a Musk Tesla.
I have an M4 competition and considering downgrading to the M3P because the savings are big and the M4 is going to get more expensive. But let me make something clear. It’s a downgrade in every way.
Yeah yeah whatever I still beat my friends 2024 M4 Competition 0-60 and 1/4 mile in my 2024 Highland Performance 😂
@ not the x drive you didn’t. Also you realize that a software map would destroy the Tesla right? BMW limits their cars because the M4 CSL exists and M5 and M8. The only thing the Tesla is beating the M4 on is depreciation. A 7 year m4 sells for more than a brand new Tesla model 3. The M3P has a residual value after 4 years of 27% of new value. Only reason to own one is cheap performance and tax savings. The ONLY 2 reasons I’m considering the car but I still haven’t done it. Probably end up with a Porsche tbh. Tesla is to poverty for me to live with.
@ bro just stfu and get a loan like you did for the BMW cuz your dumb ass is a brokie tryin to front like u all that 🤣. And yes, my friends car is a 2024 M4 Competition Xdrive and I beat his ass at the drag strip. Yeah he’s stock but I still beat his ass with my cheap ass $47k Tesla 😝
And it’s only going to get cheaper. Just a hunch.
