Oh, and "Serial Nunber" is an honest mistake. In Japanese, number is spelled like this: ナンバー so it's like 'nanba.' Plus, an innocent mistake adds to the value lol.
That and the fact that "nunber" is closer to how Japanese works, since you can't have the consonant 'm' before another consonant, but you can have ’ん' before a consonant。

I think the 'nunber' was deliberate. They made that error a long time ago early in Fender Japan, and those typo are now sought as rare and special. This may be an homage to that long ago legitimate 'english as not your language' error.
StP71 wood people write essays trying to find and discuss the meaning in the show. It’s _seriously_ messed up... there are very strong religious themes seemingly only because the writers found names in the bible to be interesting or nice-sounding, so they’ll mix around the meanings of everything which can seem disorienting at first for people in the west raised with Christianity. Evangelion is in Japan like Star Wars is in the west. It's absolutely *HUGE* , the show, the movies, all the shops and centres and stuff themed after Evangelion, the merchandise, the advertising. It's crazy. I tried to watch the show cos of all the hype I heard, but it's terrible. It's like all anime, they all seem to be terrible for the same reasons. I absolutely cannot stand anime, just drives me mad. This show has the typical enormous amount of misogyny and peadophilia like most anime has. But maybe it gets good later on. There's only like 27 episodes. I bailed after 5. The only anime that's any good and has none of the typical misogyny and peadophilia and homophobia and transphobia etc is the films of Hayao Miyazaki, films like Spirited Away which is just so beautiful, it's like Alice in Wonderland and the Wizard of Oz mixed together but much better. All his films are among the best ever. He's arguably the greatest director/writer ever Oh and that film that blew up a few years ago and became the biggest grossing anime film ever, called "Your Name". That is an astoundingly good film. It made me cry big old man tears, full on bawling. It's so emotionally effective But yeah like 99% of anime is trash. Think of the kind of westerners who are obsessed with anime, neckbeards with casual misogyny and body pillows. Watch any random anime and you immediately understand why these guys who've never heard of a shower exist.
Neon Genesis Evangelion is one of the great Anime series of all time, with an ambitious plot, deep religious themes, emotional tragic characters, along with a great music soundtrack. The Asuka Telecaster is a cool guitar. This guitar should become quite the collectors item. Great review.

@@mightyV444 Just a warning while on the surface it seems like an edgy kids show with some darker themes it gets progressively more mature in the second half and defiantly the movie is very mature not for young kids without some serious parental guidance. Fantastic show as an entire series and has some tough life lessons throughout.

The solid white I may makes perfect sense from a design and color perspective. They didn’t stray from the bold solid colors by adding “sparkles” with some kind of Mother of Pearl or faux MoP. Then, they were able to make the logo stand out with the silver against solid black, matching the silver frets. Well done. I do agree with you that the bridge pu cavity should’ve been better finished since it can be seen. Looks like a nice guitar. Would love to hear some R&B on that - some Jimmy Nolen!
I love when 2 things I like crossover and I'm not talking about Fender and Eva am talking about Trogly and Eva! Been watching you Trogly for almost a year now but just watched Evangelion for the first time about a month ago and its actually inspired me to start trying to draw some of the art form the show specifically staring with Asuka. The youtube algorithm did its job!
I just got mine a few months back. It is my most expensive guitar that I have, but it was definitely worth getting. My tele has "nunber" 17. just one off from the one in the vid. lol

A Lace Alumitone humbucker and single coil, stock! Very nice! Makes sense though as Fender has been using those Lace Sensor pickups for years. I have a set of Alumitone humbuckers in my Agile Les Paul, and they sound great! Can't say enough good things about those pickups. I'm not really a tele guy, but when I saw those pickups, I started salivating instantly. Good job on that one Trogly!
Very cool, an Asuka tele is the thing I never would have thought of that about 3 seconds after seeing I absolutely need in my life. Looks amazing, just one issue... love the look of the pickups, the sound though.. not so much.

Great video! That was a lot of fun. The pick ups were really thin, but other than that all the other appointments were nice. Contoured heel , crazy but cool color scheme, but without a doubt the neck with the tall narrow frets and the black headstock with the mat locking tuners and Fender Telecaster in Silver is my favorite thing on this guitar. I personally think it was worth the money.
evangelion is literally a big metaphor for depression, and it's also one of the best "beginner" anime shows out there because while it's very sad it's also very, very good and doesn't go too hard on typical anime tropes that would turn most people away btw asuka is best
If anyone should get fired it should be the person that set the price point. The Alumitones don't add that much value. I could get a lot more guitar for that money.
@@benlove443 Not necessarily true. At the end of the day it is just a Fender Japan Tele with a couple upgrades. Just ask Trogly about the Donzi LP. It was a limited edition collab with a high end brand that lost value in the long run. That guitar was custom shop with historic specs and if I remember correctly he had a hard time getting rid of it and took a loss. Time will tell...

I just got mine a few months back. It is my most expensive guitar that I have, but it was definitely worth getting. My tele has "nunber" 17. just one off from the one in the vid. lol

@@zuke-ci4vd I have not actually... been holding off on messing around with the guitar, but I assume it's the same thing. I did however like the pickups so much that I put it in my strat. I bought the deathbuckers and it is super clean.

A Lace Alumitone humbucker and single coil, stock! Very nice! Makes sense though as Fender has been using those Lace Sensor pickups for years. I have a set of Alumitone humbuckers in my Agile Les Paul, and they sound great! Can't say enough good things about those pickups. I'm not really a tele guy, but when I saw those pickups, I started salivating instantly. Good job on that one Trogly!
Very cool, an Asuka tele is the thing I never would have thought of that about 3 seconds after seeing I absolutely need in my life. Looks amazing, just one issue... love the look of the pickups, the sound though.. not so much.

The look of this ax is so not me. But the pickups intrigue me and well serial 69 and then misspelling Nunber. Almost makes it worth 3k to me.
Great video! That was a lot of fun. The pick ups were really thin, but other than that all the other appointments were nice. Contoured heel , crazy but cool color scheme, but without a doubt the neck with the tall narrow frets and the black headstock with the mat locking tuners and Fender Telecaster in Silver is my favorite thing on this guitar. I personally think it was worth the money.

evangelion is literally a big metaphor for depression, and it's also one of the best "beginner" anime shows out there because while it's very sad it's also very, very good and doesn't go too hard on typical anime tropes that would turn most people away

If anyone should get fired it should be the person that set the price point. The Alumitones don't add that much value. I could get a lot more guitar for that money.

Limited Edition and Collaborations always drive higher price points. It isn't just a guitar.
@@benlove443 Not necessarily true. At the end of the day it is just a Fender Japan Tele with a couple upgrades. Just ask Trogly about the Donzi LP. It was a limited edition collab with a high end brand that lost value in the long run. That guitar was custom shop with historic specs and if I remember correctly he had a hard time getting rid of it and took a loss. Time will tell...
@@EarlofBaltimore It should be clear to you by now, you aren't the targeted consumer for this one. Nor are general guitar enthusiasts. This is primarily domestic product and as someone that lives in Japan and sees these type of products regularly, the price point for collectibles is extremely high. Feel free to research some of the other Evangelion goods to come out around this time, their prices will surely offend you as well.
