If we can average like 3-4 goals per game, and have the goaltending Stolarz gave last night and most of this year so far, ON PAPER we should be able to go on a run.
I definitely think Berube's system/style of preferred play is negative effect on the team's offense and generating offensive chances. It is a way more physical/defensive style of north south hockey and the guys are struggling to be consistent with it. They are always dumping the puck in at the offensive blue line even when they have a clear entry into the zone and if the forechecking isn't good the other team exits the zone easily, no sustained pressure at all which is leading to less o-zone time and way more time spent defending. The win in Winnipeg is a perfect example of the Berube system working and being good but it's a lot of work and when the guys are off, the system sucks quite honestly. Florida is the king of the dump in, physical style, of north south hockey that Berube wants too play but it's hard, Tkachuk even mentioned that it's hard to play over 82 games but it works. Florida has also managed to fined the balance of being really good defensively but also generating a shit ton of chances offensively, the Leafs haven't managed to do that yet. I totally agree that they are so focused on the defensive side of the game, that the offensive side has suffered because of it. These last 5 games have been pretty bad even though they won 3 of them, the team is not playing well at 5on5. Hopefully they can turn it around, otherwise, I think there should be a legitimate question asked about Berube's system and it's fit with this roster.
You can’t deny the team has not played as well since 34 came back. Now it seems team overall looking for too many pretty passes or where is 34 cause I need to pass to him. Power play is different. Don’t know what answer is. Maybe it will all work out when everyone comes back and get their legs back under them. Just a crazy difference. Thanks.
They lit it up last year and got bounced in first round. Who cares about offense you can win 1-0. Who gives a crap

So Mapel ctrl leafStrugling So Is The Other Teams On NHL thums Up to the Leafs
First round gone, guaranteed. I don't care what anyone says, this group of forwards have no heart.
Break up Mitch and Mathews!!! Austin works better with Domi and Tavares is a 50 goal guy when he plays with Mitch Marner!
