I'm more excited about boot time than playing games.
Back in the 1980s most people would never get to hear this music, as it only plays during the startup sequence while the bubble memory is being copied to RAM. Since most machines were turned on several minutes before the arcade opened to the public, the game would already be running by then!
Was Gradius the only arcade game that used bubble memory?

Bubble memory is very vulnerable, so be careful when storing it.
I have broken the PCB many times.…

There is a ROM board called “Bubbless” that preserves the pcb, but I don’t know if it’s still on sale. 😞

I bought this pcb as an analysis, and gave it away when I bought a certain cab.
This must have cost a fortune to acquire. Just don't expose it to sunlight.

I bought it about 10 years ago, so it wasn't that expensive.
It is also vulnerable to magnetism and static electricity.
@@TOKAI1332 back before the market was inflated. I wish I could have joined it back then, only got into collecting myself recently. Would love a Gradius board someday, but they're crazy expensive

@@TOKAI1332 Darius would be a killer game to own, especially if you can get the multiple monitors setup. The only Taito game I own is Raystorm as of now, but since that's one of ny favorite shooters it's perfectly acceptable.

ただバブレスに書き込んだところで本来のバブルカセットのデータ消失は免れないので、データ消失に怯えるのでしょうか…
根本の解決策が欲しいですね笑
