Nolan with that backwards cap and holding that matching red N64 controller is one of the best things I’ve seen recently. Then when he started with the Kentucky accent, I lost it! 😂
Troy and Nolan are the perfect representations of me playing video games. They do random voices or accents when they play, I do the exact same thing. The only weird difference is that once the video gaming is done, I have the irrational inability to return to a normal accent and talk in the accent I was doing while playing the whole day. But usually it's the British and Scottish accents I do. When I'm playing single player I talk in the posh British accent and can't stop talking. When in online sessions and I get angry or rage, I slip into a Scottish accent and never stop. Love these two, they totally remind me of the three British idiots Clarkson, May and Hammond. And also Drew and his soups. Oh and the Pierce Brosnan Bond films are the best after Sean Connery, Roger Moore and Timothy Dalton.
Yes! The Jill sandwich is something I have to see their reaction to! If they do decide to do it I doubt they would do a complete play through, as long as they atleast watch some of the corniest dialogue scenes I can die happily. Can you Imagine Nolan's face in the hall with the windows!?
Watching Uncle Noly doting around the Facility level in circles was giving me literal anxiety. Never change Noly, Never change. Also this game holds a special place in my heart, it was this game and DooM that got me into video games for life. Rolling about in a tank and running over soldiers and listening to them getting crushed under the tracks was strangely satisfying.
Oh, the memories. I spent many Friday nights as a kid playing this with my brothers. Licence to kill with slappers only was my favorite. The helipad on the bunker level was our circle of doom. It got intense.
I just finished my last final of my first year in law school, and I cant think of a better way to celebrate than this! Thanks for all the times you guys helped me destress through it all, Nolan, Troy, and Drew!
I think every group of friends playing Goldeneye quickly came up with the gentlemens (and/or ladies) agreement that no one would pick Oddjob... and every group of friends knew that one person who'd be a dick and pick him anyway.
Sean Bean (aka the walking spoiler warning) dies in everything because the universe is trying to make up for the fact that his name should rhyme but it doesn't... lol!
I can literally hear Fort Knox doing drills from my house. The Marines were actually here a few weeks ago running drills with tanks. The booms make the glass in our windows shake. We actually do have a large Vietnamese population just north of Fort Knox in Louisville. However, probably not when Goldfinger was made, lol. Also, that accent and caricature was very offensive. And hilarious! X-D Love Drew's "GO BIG BLUE". Big Blue Nation represent!
Lazenby is Australian, Moore, Niven and Dalton were all born in England. Craig is English, and of course Connery is Scottish (and Brosnan is indeed Irish).
17:40 my foreigner ass: damn I need to go back to the books I can't understand a word he's saying *Drew's text comes up* me: oh thank god I don't really need to study
My brother and I played so much Goldeneye so much fun! It was our first console...and my dad suggested it as a Christmas gift because he wanted to play it!
I still think it's super cool that these two seem to legit be really close friends. The chemistry and their A+ reference game make all of these really refreshing to watch
Thank you Drew for being the pillar that holds this beautiful madhouse of a channel, and this episode should be called: From Retro Play with love with licence to play ;)
This definitely reminds me of the time I introduced my dad to a FPS on console. So much confusion bleeding into frustration. You want to scream trying to help, but he's your dad (and in this vid's case, best bud). Except now, I've created a monster, and he's gone all out on a PC gaming rig making gaming friends online that he regularly plays with, the whole shabang.
It's scary how Nolan was focused and Troy just got surprised every time. Nolan had no idea how to locate himself in the single-player mode, though. always check the controls at shooters, Uncle Noly! and keep the games coming! Love you guys!
Okay Troy...so far CCM references include Michael W Smith, Stryper, and now Steve Taylor? lol!!! Keep ‘em coming (games and references) brothers Drake. Drew, you’re awesome! Thanks so much for so much fun each week team Retro Replay!
Now this is a classic dude. This is one of the first retro games I’ve played (I’m 18) and it made me fall in love with retro games. I now own retro consoles and games and I am completely in love with them. All because of this game. Goldeneye has a special place in my heart ❤️
Ah the childhood memories being brought back from Troy and Nolan playing goldeneye on the n64 was such a good game when it released . Keep up the great work guys I’ve been absolutely loving RETRO REPLAY and it’s still the highlight of my week 😉
Man, this is my favorite episode so far! The memories just rush in while watching this. I used to play with my little brother all the time, and seeing Nolan and Troy enjoying this game simply reminds me of the good ol’ times. Almost brings a tear to my eyes. Thank you!
This game introduced me to 007! I saw Goldeneye shortly after and then my dad started showing me all the other Bond movies. Nolan! I was rooting for you the whole time during multiplayer lol! This episode was so worth the wait!!
Woooo, everyone was waiting for this one, speaking of Gunslingers, Troy, my main guy in MK11 is Erron Black, and I created a Variation called Sunset RIDEEEER, couldn't b more perfect, in his victory pose, he calls his weird blue horse and rides away!!! XD
Totally appreciate that even with jet lag and exhaustion, you guys still gave us an amazing episode. And Goldeneye, to boot!^^ Thank you! And also, please do Resident Evil next!^^b
The first Bond movie I've seen that I remembered in any way was Moonraker when it was on network TV. I don't think I've seen a single Bond movie at the theater.
"I am James Bond." - Edward Richtofen. Double O-Seven. after, point-blank, murdering some random unfortunate who needed to piss *extremely satisfied giggle*
Yes! Goldeneye! Thanks for the incredible 30th bday present (Wednesday technically, but close enough). It is my favourite bond movie and the game is etched into folklore like no other. She always did enjoy a good squeeze 😉
The good old days, i really wish Troy and Nolan never split, this channel has never been the same.
Today, we witness Nolan being good at a game, and while destroying Troy! What a wondrous sight!
I never thought I would see the day!
I checked outside to make sure hell didn't freeze over
He was awesome..!
GenerationWest
Nolan also did great job beating Jacksepticeye at Aladdin this weekend at London. Show him how it’s done Nolan.
"You should never say 'pull out your gun' in a men's room" is that our first bit of Uncle Baker wisdom?
Bleak Victory more like cousin baker, he don’t deserve the title of the creepy uncle
Nolan with that backwards cap and holding that matching red N64 controller is one of the best things I’ve seen recently. Then when he started with the Kentucky accent, I lost it! 😂
Nolan North wearing a Guinness shirt. Never knew Richtofen liked Irish beer lol

I hope the Kentucky act is a permanent character now.
Something horror survival? Resident Evil (ps1) or Silent Hill (ps1) next?
DrMeowKitz Definitely Resident Evil. Just so we get to see a Jill Sandwich 😂
Yes! The Jill sandwich is something I have to see their reaction to! If they do decide to do it I doubt they would do a complete play through, as long as they atleast watch some of the corniest dialogue scenes I can die happily. Can you Imagine Nolan's face in the hall with the windows!?
Yeah
would love to see them do it on a Halloween week
The Jill Sandwich would lead to some questionable advice from Uncle Noly
It's 2019, and we have 2 grown ass men slapping the shit out of each other.....what a time to be alive
This channel is a dream come true! BTW I’d also love to see you guys play Resident Evil (1996) and comment on the game’s voice acting while playing.
Yes!! Please play Resident Evil!!
Yes!
*ehem* -Metal Gear Solid (1998)- *ehem*
Watching Uncle Noly doting around the Facility level in circles was giving me literal anxiety.
Never change Noly, Never change.
Also this game holds a special place in my heart, it was this game and DooM that got me into video games for life. Rolling about in a tank and running over soldiers and listening to them getting crushed under the tracks was strangely satisfying.
One of the best episodes!
The next game should be Mario Kart 64!
A lot of friendships were ended because of this game as well. XD
The legend Nolan ties his actor career with his gaming one.Nice Uncle Noly.
Oh, the memories. I spent many Friday nights as a kid playing this with my brothers. Licence to kill with slappers only was my favorite. The helipad on the bunker level was our circle of doom. It got intense.
I remember watching Casino Royale and hearing Cornell's "You Know My Name" and instantly loving the song, R.I.P. Chris Cornell.
I almost hate to admit it, but I am from Arkansas. I understood everything that Nolan said in his Kentucky accent. LOL!!!!
Born in Mississippi raised in Texas… I understood it too…
Speaking of Sean Bean, fun fact: him and Kit Harrington were co stars in Silent Hill: Revelations, which funny enough was a role he survived
He also was alive in Flight Plan
James Bond is something that I seriously geek out for. This episode was a treat 😌
This is my favorite channel on TH-cam right now, Joel and Nathan playing old-school vids !!! Keep them coming !!!!!!
I just finished my last final of my first year in law school, and I cant think of a better way to celebrate than this! Thanks for all the times you guys helped me destress through it all, Nolan, Troy, and Drew!
Cameron Buckner congrats dude!
Congratulations dude, well done ✊🏾👨🎓👩🎓
@@harrisonjohn4301 thank you my dude!
@@paballomolata2753 Thanks my guy!

You don't have to clean the bathrooms.
Why?
Cause they're gone.
🤣😂
Goldeneye! Yes :D We've been waiting for this :)
Nolan and Troy should play the same two henchmen in every Bond movie. And they comment on how Bond looks different sometimes.
"You should never say 'Pull out your gun.' in the men's room by the way." - Troy Baker 2019
Ahh yes Goldeneye, where picking Oddjob in deathmatch mode was considered cheating.
It was cheating, fuck oddjob.
Natalya was borderline also. Not nearly as bad as oddjob though.
EVERYTIME I picked Jaws, my sister picked Oddjob! I definitely kicked her ass for that, both in the game and out lol
I think every group of friends playing Goldeneye quickly came up with the gentlemens (and/or ladies) agreement that no one would pick Oddjob... and every group of friends knew that one person who'd be a dick and pick him anyway.
And recently PROVEN to be. The programmers admitted Oddjob IS shorter than the others.
Sean Bean (aka the walking spoiler warning) dies in everything because the universe is trying to make up for the fact that his name should rhyme but it doesn't... lol!
Kat Rosemond this comment. Is awesome. Thank you.
He makes it through and is alive in the movie Flight Plan. But yes, he dies in everything else.
@@kaumranesna-ashari8902 he survives The Martian too... but more times than not, he dies...
@@eurekafreak2186 You are right. How can I forget that? Thanks for reminding me.
Kaumran Esna-Ashari He lives through National Treasure as well, though he does get arrested at the end.
32:48 "You don't slap chicks/women"
Unless you're Sean Connery... who also played Bond. X-D
You guys just blew my mind with the Donald/The Hound connection.
I never knew that people didn't know it, but then again, I love Hot Fuzz.
GIVE. US. GOLDE--
my incessant demanding worked!
This has to be my favorite RR episode thus far. Moments of pure gold throughout and Nolan is hilarious in this. 27:35, I’m done. 😆
Nolan owning in a Retro game!! I feel proud of him!
Well now we need to see them play Perfect Dark and The World Is Not Enough.
They totally need to break the xbox 360 seal and play perfect dark!
WHATS GOING HAPPEN EVERYONE?! Uncle Noly is finally good at this one!
Lazenby is Australian, Moore, Niven and Dalton were all born in England. Craig is English, and of course Connery is Scottish (and Brosnan is indeed Irish).
This is Nolan's proudest moment in his entire life. I salute you Sir!
So much nostalgia! Time to put the soundtrack on at work and play some MP when I get home
Slappers only, the best way to simultaneously cause laughter, pandemonium, and absolute rage in friends.
The thing that got the biggerst laugh out of me this episode was drew's text box going, "dad?!"
Uncle Noly would never be bad at a game of a series that his hero; The Walken, has appeared in!!!
Archer reference? Nolan North is definitely my favorite even more now😂
17:40
my foreigner ass: damn I need to go back to the books I can't understand a word he's saying
*Drew's text comes up*
me: oh thank god I don't really need to study
20 minutes until the plot, that has to be a new record! (I love it)
Can we all take a moment and give special attention to Troy’s hat game. I know he takes more pride in his socks, but his fedoras are always stylish!
I never really noticed it before, but I absolutely love the Retro Replay intro tune!
Oh my god.. my childhood is flashing before my eyes. Happy Birthday Retro Replay!!! 🥰🍰
My brother and I played so much Goldeneye so much fun! It was our first console...and my dad suggested it as a Christmas gift because he wanted to play it!

Wow, I have so many memories of playing this with friends and family.
Thank you Drew for being the pillar that holds this beautiful madhouse of a channel, and this episode should be called: From Retro Play with love with licence to play ;)
Thank you for playing this! One of my favorite games ever! :D
This definitely reminds me of the time I introduced my dad to a FPS on console. So much confusion bleeding into frustration. That whole Kentucky skit is accurate
It's scary how Nolan was focused and Troy just got surprised every time. Nolan had no idea how to locate himself in the single-player mode, though. always check the controls at shooters, Uncle Noly! and keep the games coming! Love you guys!
Once again guys your rocking it, keep up the good old past times.
True story, 99...my senior year of High School, my eventual step father would keep me home from school just so I could unlock new levels for him.
What a good step father!
Okay Troy...so far CCM references include Michael W Smith, Stryper, and now Steve Taylor? lol!!! Keep ‘em coming (games and references) brothers Drake. Drew, you’re awesome! Thanks so much for so much fun each week team Retro Replay!

I live in the South and I 100% understood Nolan's Kentucky accent
That was the most intense game of slappers I've ever seen.
My god, this is my favorite episode yet. Absolutely amazing you guys!
Ah the childhood memories being brought back from Troy and Nolan playing goldeneye on the n64 was such a good game when it released .
Keep up the great work guys I’ve been absolutely loving RETRO REPLAY and it’s still the highlight of my week 😉
As someone who was born and raised in Kentucky, Nolan’s impression is shockingly dead on
Man, this is my favorite episode so far! The memories just rush in while watching this. I used to play with my little brother all the time, and seeing Nolan and Troy enjoying this game simply reminds me of the good ol’ times. Almost brings a tear to my eyes. Thank you!
His kentucky impression reminds me of the cop in the Roger Moore era of bonds. The one that keeps calling him partner.
This game introduced me to 007! I saw Goldeneye shortly after and then my dad started showing me all the other Bond movies. Nolan! I was rooting for you the whole time during multiplayer lol! This episode was so worth the wait!!
I requested this last week, slappers only! Didnt have to wait very long.
Goldeneye and retro replay this is brilliant
Woooo, everyone was waiting for this one, speaking of Gunslingers, Troy, my main guy in MK11 is Erron Black, and I created a Variation called Sunset RIDEEEER, couldn't b more perfect, in his victory pose, he calls his weird blue horse and rides away!!! XD
Give Timothy Dalton some credit, Troy! Was by far the most prepared for the role. (Can't think of any other who went for the novel portrayal.)
Dude was ahead of his time. He was Daniel Craig before the world was ready for it. Very underrated Bond
Timothy Dalton was good in The Rocketeer
Totally appreciate that even with jet lag and exhaustion, you guys still gave us an amazing episode. And Goldeneye, to boot!^^ Thank you! And also, please do Resident Evil next!^^b
Action cinephile Troy has shockingly rudimentary 007 knowledge.
Oh my god...some damn good memories there, I miss my N64...Thank you for the trip down memory lane XD
I do believe Nolan deserves a round of applause. Good job. XD
In today's episode of Retro Replay, we watch Troy and Nolan get the nationalities of actors wrong and then slap each other silly for seven minutes.
"That is going to be noticed!" Had to rewatch that line a few times hahaha!!
I find myself singing ‘ red bleep on your mini map’ in the strangest places 🤣🤣🤣
Thank god someone told Nolan how to hold the n64 controller.
Confirmed: Troy is one of the legendary "screen watchers" or "screen peekers" as some people call them
The first Bond movie I've seen that I remembered in any way was Moonraker when it was on network TV. I don't think I've seen a single Bond movie at the theater.
No Drew. The problem is I understood Nolan's Kentucky accent perfectly. Spot on.
"I am James Bond."
- Edward Richtofen.
Double O-Seven.
after, point-blank, murdering some random unfortunate who needed to piss
*extremely satisfied giggle*
This really was alternate universe. Nolan did well, the “invincible” Boris died a bunch and Sean Bean barely got a scratch.
The best birthday gift i could receive. Thank you boys!
007: The World is Not Enough (N64) Probably similar to this one but it's the one I grew up watching my brother play!
i love watching Troy Baker playing video games with his dad!
This game was my childhood! Felt all nostalgic from when my dad and I would play the 64 while watching this 😂
I have never been as invested in a TH-cam channel as I have this one!
Man i'm proud of Nolan, thank you for another great episode !
I would definitely go see "Henchmen" starring Nolan and Troy
almost 20 minutes in and just getting to the plot... gotta love it.
Ok i HAD A SHIT DAY AT WORK
AND THIS MAN OH MAN THANK YOU
THIS MADE MY NIGHT THANK YOU GUYS
Thank you for saving another week of mine
Freaking in DC right now, all the jet lag caused me to miss the upload! Great vid guys.
Yes! Goldeneye! Thanks for the incredible 30th bday present (Wednesday technically, but close enough). It is my favourite bond movie and the game is etched into folklore like no other.
She always did enjoy a good squeeze 😉
Always get my retro replay t shirt on and ready awaiting for these. Thursdays are possibly my favourite day of the week 😍
Nolan! Great job on the Goldeneye MP man!
15:22 Advice from Uncle Troy: "Never say 'Pull out your gun' in a men's room"
Your commentary is on point Drew!
All of my time living in Texas paid off because I understood all of Nolan's Kentucky talk.
