Thank you for another informative video! Wishing you all the best as you head back into the classroom.
Your videos are some of the best professional learning I have had in science in years! Threshold concepts is something I'm off to research further and look to apply to my subject - Chemistry. It is so important to lay those foundational concepts in the correct order and give students the opportunities to revisit them before building on them.
As for how I plan - my school planning is all Google based with my timetable in Google calendar and planning docs similar to your half term plans in Google docs. Google keep is a place for my running to do list.

Thanks so much Vaneesa, this is all so useful! Might need to explore google a bit further.

Hi Sofia, I’m really enjoying these videos. I have a teacher planner which I use to record a snapshot of what I’m doing each lesson but I have my units of works on. Google doc. I use the monthly calendar quite heavily to set assessment task dates and so on but I use a bullet journal for managing my day to day lists, brain dumps, meeting notes etc. I have started playing around with Notion too. So far I have all my year 12 stuff on notion, all neatly organised, linked and easy to access. I need to schedule some time to set up something similar for the other year groups I teach. I love hearing about your embedding of retrieval practice and metacognition and really enjoyed hearing about the research you mentioned in this video. My school has been doing PL on the High Impact Teaching Strategies and I’ve been in the multiple exposures and metacognition group.

Seems like we're so similar in how we organise our work life! Such an exciting idea about using Notion to organise Year 12. Would love to know more about these high impact teaching strategies, we're also trying something similar.

Hi Sofia, I hope you are well! I really miss your videos- they were always enlightening and useful. I’m currently rewatching them to try and inspire myself to do some back to school preparation before our school year resumes on Friday.

I just found your lovely channel! I love it so much! I teach Maths in Manchester. I don’t use the teacher planner as well. I design my own planner and use the ring bound (arc system) System to keep my planner flexible. I am now trying to use excel and see if I will like it. I will give it to the end of this half term. If not, I will print the planner pages over Easter holiday.

I have a teacher friend who also makes her own planner and it's incredible. Maybe one day... excel sounds interesting! I use google excel sheets for my medium term plans and it's great.

Another great vid!! ☺️I’ve been using a Bullet Journal for 3 years now and it has been my holy grail for keeping my life on track 🙌🏼 Recently started to use an online platform called Notion which I really like to create different lists. Was slightly over-whelming to use at first but great once I got the hang of it.

3 years! That's fab :) I do have notion but haven't found a way to use it for my day-to-day; it's great for collating things together and organising big ideas though!

A video on building your QTS evidence portfolio and what good evidence looks like would be great!
