    Alyssa is most definitely a brat before learning the value of a dollar. And even if she had learnt her lesson, she doesn't deserve forgiveness from her mother. Since she had mistreated the parent who actually wanted what was best for her and threatened her with the idea that a divorce would make her mom struggle while on her own.
    So despite having changed her ways, Alyssa deserved what had happened to her.

    • @EMSThinWhiteLine12866
      @EMSThinWhiteLine12866 ปีที่แล้ว

      No she did not, I could not remain friends with Cindy if she did not forgive Alyssa and said she would never for life forgive her own daughter. I'd tell Cindy to lose my phone numbers, my social medias, my email, all my information to contact me. And then to twist the knife in her send a legal cease and desist telling her unless she forgave her daughter and offered to take her back, do not contact me, do not send anyone on her behalf to me absent judicial permission for contact and do not approach me in public or acknowledge knowledge of who I am to anyone else in public or in private or face legal action. I know I am one against a mindless majority on here but I am fine with that. I'm not afraid of what I believe in. I cannot associate with one who disowns their own child, regardless of the offense. Holy Bible does not allow for the right to disavow one's child based on an offense by the child, it condemns the parent to eternity in Hell and I can say with certainty that is where Cindy is going. And Alyssa just MAY change her life and receive redemption and eternity with Christ in Heaven unlike her mother.

    Nature versus nurture. I believe in a mix of both. In the stories like this one the children's attitude is a reflection of the parents behavior. You have either a mother or a father who treat the other parent with extreme disrespect. No matter what it is still a shock that a child would treat one parent that way.

      @@sparkplug1018 doubtful the company would do that if it was his own minor custodial kid making the charges...especially if he just handed her the card. • @sparkplug1018
      @sparkplug1018 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@laurab5750 Actually they would. Before my father retired he worked for one of them, and was working on a dispute case pretty similar. Father gave his son the card for his graduation partying, and apparently didn't expect the $15k+ in charges.
      When he attempted to dispute them he was told the only possible way, since he did give him the card, was to claim it as fraud. At which point they would begin perusing legal action against whoever made the charges, the son included.
      After a little back and forth with my father and the GA he decided not to do it.
      They take fraud very seriously, even have an entire department devoted to that specifically. So if you claim it, it goes straight to them, then to the general counsels office if it exceeds a certain amount. They don't mess around with the F word.

      Years back I worked at a call center that did prepaid phone customer service for one of the major providers. I had a guy call confused as to what happened with the bill for his daughter's phone. He explained he got it for her so she could call home for rides and somehow the money he'd put on the account that should've lasted a month was gone in a few days. I had him pull up the bill on his computer and we went through what I had on my screen along with his bill and turned out the daughter blew through all the money on stuff like ringtones and display themes. He was livid and the yelling going on that I could hear was priceless. I made the judgement call to credit half the amount back to the account since it was clear he had no idea on any of this and he was very willing to go through setting up parental controls on the phone with me. At that point the daughter was screaming she hated him and me before I guess slamming the door to her room. Me and her father chuckled over 'ahh parenthood' and got things taken care of.

    • @MSinistrari
      @MSinistrari ปีที่แล้ว

      @@NatohDine One of the few nice things at a call center is some of the memorable calls. My fave is still 'Voice Guy'. He'd generally call on Fridays to get us to put a credit on his account instead of putting money on his account so he could use his prepaid phone on the weekend. He'd done this enough to know we had a 10 minute call time and if he dragged out the call long enough the call taker would bend and put the credit on despite his account having multiple warnings about not giving in. So, he'd drag the call out with doing silly voices. I remember he started out asking for the credit, I'd say no and he'd beg for me to do it that his dog was sad and promptly doing a dog whimper voice. I'd sympathize but still say no. Since I didn't care about my call times, I had him escalate the voices until at one point he said the Sith and Jedi were having a fight in his living room complete with making lightsaber noises. Again, I told him no and suggested he get a job voice acting since he was really good at it.

    For people who don't know, the specific kind of mobile game she's playing is called a gacha game. Regardless of the genre of the story or the kind of gameplay, gacha games are specifically ones that implement a sort of toy vending machine mechanic (kind of like blind boxes), which require you to spend either in game currency (like crystals etc) or irl currency depending to get the loot you want. Bc it's like a blindbox sometimes you don't get what you want immediately, hence why sometimes people choose to spend money to guarantee the loot.
    The minute she said she was pulling for a 5 star i was like "Oh boy", and cringed bc i immediately understood as a gacha player myself. Gacha shouldn't be played willy nilly. It requires you to be responsible with money, whether you intend to purchase stuff or just be free to play. I understand the appeal of pulling, but it really shouldn't be at the expense of your wallet. Buy something only within your budget, and if it's your own money (unless someone willingly paid for you). I myself have only ever spent around 400 php in total for all my games and then stopped bc i didn't want my purchasing to be a regular thing. People have gone broke because of irresponsible gacha purchases

    Look kid, I get it... games are fun and all, but the least you could do is earn the money by doing chores for your mother. That's what I did when I wanted a new $5 DLC for a game I've played for years.
    Spoiled kid... so sick she tried to hurt her mother like that.

    As an Fgo player, there is some advice to anyone who plays games or is thinking about playing games like this. Think twice about what you are actually getting out of your money and ask yourself if you are okay with the bare minimum that you can get. Then make a decision.
    Because lets be honest, you are going to get that 95% of time.

    Wow, if my daughter ever spoke to her mother like that. By the time I am finished she would wish she had never been born. Not smacking as do not believe in hitting your child. There is far more effective means to punish them.... Take away phones etc and mean it.... I have found that far more effective than a smack which 5 seconds later they forget about and carry on..... But take away something important to them, or, do not let them go somewhere.... that hurts, that really hurts. They remember.
