Thank you for this latest post Justina! Telshiai is definitely a location I want to visit, but then I think that about every location featured in your videos. It must be inspiring for you to live in such a beautiful country! Hey, if you had picked up that amber would it have been legal for you to keep it? And if it’s illegal and you did pick it up then disregard the question.

It is allowed to keep any amber you find on the coast 😁 However, the employee of the visitor's centre said there aren't much now in Lūkstas lake, they might be small. But you can always find some on the shore of the Baltic sea. Anyway, the best time to look for amber is after stormy weather, on those days you can see people with nets 'fishing' for them at the seaside

@@Atlasito That’s very interesting. Have you collected any amber during your lifetime? I know that Baltic people have been collecting it since ancient times and the “Amber Road “ fostered trade with the Byzantines and beyond.

@@pauljackson4075 I found some amber on the beach of the Baltic sea, but they were quite small and I wouldn't know what to do with it. It was just during a casual walk on the beach. But there are some educational activities in Seaside Regional Park for groups to go and search for amber with nets. My sister participated in one and found some nice pieces 😊 Anyway, probably every person in Lithuania has some amber in their homes in some form, art, or jewellery

@@Atlasito Thank you for answering my questions. I think that someday I will come upon Jurate and she will show me her amber castle beneath the Baltic.
