I was just thinking this. A super stacked team would be Abby, Tam, Merlin, Nero Bride, Waver and CasGil. You could literally build Abby any way you desire with these servants, along with letting Abby's skills help out other damaging NPs like Nero Brides or CasGil's. Unfortunately, the biggest downside for Abby is that she requires a lot of top tier help to be as good as she can be. She's a fine servant alone, but with her help she becomes a monster.

Abby+Tamamo+Merlin for Standard Boss fights
Abby+Jeanne+Merlin for Challenge Quests

Due note that Salem is considered very, VERY easy save for the literal final fight (it's considered pre-Camelot easy in fact). Unless you're talking about SQ savings, in which all i can say is "Good luck or abuse Wallet-kun."

Merlin helps her a lot.
He allows for easier NP gain due to Arts Chains and Dreamlike Charisma, and he's an amazing buffer for her NP. He also gives her heals and a hard Invul, and gives her great Crit buffs.
Here she comes. The greatest challenge to my saving for Ereshkigal. I'm still hoping that like on the JP side the end of her banner will overlap with the start of Christmas so I can kind of cheat with my rolls. I'd be happy to roll her if possible. Mostly since I don't mind rolling servants that have a clear weakness to compensate for. The np gain itself is rough, but I think we got options to cover for it.
We'll see what happens when Salem (and the second banner) arrives. The key will be how Abigail plays out not as a servant, but as a character in the story. If she's really likable then I'll just have to try for both her and Eresh and risk my soul in the process.
Here's a tip for those who roll for gameplay, save your quartz for Hokusai

@@hungerxhunger2548 Hokusai isn't as durable as Abby, and deals significantly less damage overall. While she's definitely stronger at base than Abigail for "generic content", Abigail shines in challenge quests and very specific farming setups (partycharge per turn)
MHXX is a wreck of a servant though imho, being worse than Abby at damage and worse than Hokusai at spamming, which causes her to be stuck in a sort of limbo.

If by *B* you mean "Best", then yes. She is Best+.
I also vouch for the crit route for her. Arts crits don't mess around, and her above average star absorption makes it easy to build teams to support that. In JP, where I use loli only team comps, Abby and Miyu work great together for faster NP gain, and stars. I suppose by extension, you could say merlin is a good choice.....but that's generally pretty obvious.

Also going further on servant pairs, I think Merlin (OBVIOUSLY 😂😂😂) stands out as support cause triple arts decks, buster support (and attack buff and invincibility are not completely necessary but are still excellent to have...)

Definitely surprised by the early review, Oni. Even if Hokusai trumps her in general gameplay, in terms of flavor (character, lore, aesthetics, etc), Abi is straight up my alley, so my funds are going straight to her. I’m used to dealing with long CDs and slow NP gain, so I can handle her.
Fighting against her, though... That’s gonna be scary.

Just bring Cú and watch him kill an Outer God (he has debuff removal and good damage)
GhostProject Abby’s NP removes buffs BEFORE damage, so guts won’t work against her. Cú may be a hardcore survivalist, but I don’t think he’s as optimal for her as you might think.
Hokusai isn't as relevant as Abigail. Abi at least has a NP that fits her class niche, which is to tank Berserkers. The isn't a fight where you really need a Foreigner to tank tons of Berserkers, but you'd have to survive against Berserker bosses like Xiang Yu.
Bring Melt or Mecha Liz.

No joke, Abby and Sheba are probably the ones I'd be aiming for the most in this Chapter, but I also wouldn't mind getting Circe as well. She's so awesome with that Piglet Noble Phantasm! XD

TBH In terms of gameplay Hokusai is infinitely better but she doesn’t fit the Cthulhu Mythos theme for me, I will always prioritize Abby over her .

Midrash is incredible when it comes to Arts/Crit teams. Plus, her NP is a single-target nuke with an amazing damage modifier (NP2 has 1200%, same as a 5* assassin) AND decreases attack + defense of an enemy.
I'll honestly be happy if I can get either Aby or any of the two Casters available in this Chapter. Whoever comes, I'll be welcoming them with open arms. ^_^

Catalyst to summon Abby: You need Necronomicon first. Then, you must have a knowledge of unspeakble language. Place your Necronomicon on the servant summonning circle and chants your foul black speech. Then, hope your will habe Abby and not accidentally summon other elderitch abomination like Cthulu or Hastur.

She was actually the servant to get me into the game, (don’t get me wrong I love the fate series but gatcha games have never really been my forte lmao) I really just love everything about her character esp the outer gods shit

It is, she's one of my most beloved servants. I tend to grail just because I love the characters, in her case I love her design, she's cute, and she has the best birthday lines. Plus Im a huge Lovecrtaft fan so I love that she is part of the mythos

Gave up on getting her with only 3 rolls worth left, but decided to just burn what I had. Got her on the second to last roll, then got Caster of Okeanos on the last roll. Combine that with getting Lancer Artoria Alter with my ticket earlier this week and it's been a good week for me

Holy cow... I had EX Luck this Christmas so far. I got Nightengale and Abigail with only 30 quartz and 10 summon tickets...I now believe in our pancake god!
abby is my favorite 5star in the game, one of the reasons is that she came to my chaldea twice being a f2p and she is my first servant from jp, at the start i didn´t know what to expect about her because i wasn´t used to foreigners, but the more i started to use her the more i liked that class, literally i smurfed agartha with her, not a single berserker has been a challenge , the fact that she can remove buffs like guts, evade and inv is too strong, also her np being buster improves her supportive stile because that makes her a good starter in a np chain.
I have abby lvl 100 almost full fous and almost bond 12, she is an excellent unit to have and i´m a big fan of her 2nd ascension dont @ me

What ifff just what if, the game creates a servant that has below average attack and health, but really good abilities that has really fast CD? the least I seen is ishtar lvl 10 3rd ability 3 turn CD. 3 turns is already very very fast.
Attack 11.9k lvl 80 hp: 13.4k lvl 80
(fou) 13.9k atk (fou) 15.4k hp
a new servant: 1st ability: "(name) EX" 3 turn CD. and its like increase np gauge(15%-50%)
2nd ability:(name) A- increase arts cards effectiveness(2turns) and np gain(1turn) for one ally.( 4CD) Third ability: (name) A+ medium chance to decrease all enemy charge by 1. And Increase max hp(500-1000)(lasts 3 turns) (5CD)
Arts Np: decrease defence(for the target of your np) deal significant dmg to a single enemy and apply dmg cut (1000 max, 2times) for yourself, decrease attack( for the target of your np), apply target focus for yourself) And increase np gauge.
So you're supposed to just use 1st ability, then 2nd, then attack phase:
Best if got arts chain (gain more np)
Attack done, should have np charged easily. Because 2nd increase arts effectiveness lasts 2 turns, this turn, select np, and 2 more arts card(including this character's arts card.) ulti done, increase np gauge your 2 more blue cards at the back hit hit gain more np( plus the effect of 2nd) should have ulti again.

From a gameplay perspective, Hokusai. Abby still has her usefulness as a support/boss killer but Hokusai is all kinds of OP

Honestly I’ve been waiting for this review, though also I’ve been wondering which is better between her and Hokusai as a foreigner servant.
They both function differently. Abby focuses on bosses and having the team to work around her. Hokusai is rated E for everyone.
I personally find uses for both of them and I'll roll on their banners
Something I realized is that alot of FGO player compare servants with their class which I kinda consider wrong. The skills and NP are both important for servant identity. Extreme example here. Imagine using an Buster ST saber to clear waves of mob enemies.
Hokusai tbh. I have both but mostly find myself bringing Hoku instead of Abby to single target bosses because she ends up putting out more damage thanks to her skill that drops enemies defence every time she hits with an arts card and her ability to spam her np.
It depends on functionality, really.
Abby is a Merlin-dependant boss killer with a great, rare class while Hokusai is overall self-sufficient but becomes broken asf when paired with Tamamo (endless Def Down stacking...). Both honestly aren't too impressive on their own but with their respective caster supports they're very powerful.
That being said, however, Abby's downside is that you're only going to bring her out for some CQs and bosses while Hokusai can be used for farming and bosses (her NP may be AOE, but her Def Down skill being enabled to spam with Tamamo results the entire party's normal face cards snowballing for stupid damage). Abby can hit a boss for 1 attack much harder, but Hokusai having so much more universal usage kind of stole the Foreigner spotlight.
Yeah single summon with ticket and I instantly got her, selling my soul to Lovecraftian outer gods really worth it I supposed...
By the way, In Arthur Miller's the Crucible ( Source for most of FGO's Abigail's backstory ) Abigail Williams was actually sleeping around with John Proctor, a Married man, and started her spree of dennouncing women as being witches ( Starting with John Proctor's Wife ) mostly out of jealousy and to get the man all for herself. So yeah... Let that sink in and after that think twice when someone tells you to pat the loli.

@@blurb9319 Abigail in The Crucible IS older, but still not legal, only 17, however important to note of events outside of the play is that there we're no accounted events where Abigail and John met before the trials, Abigail's decision was more or less on a whim -also Abby's age was RAISED FOR THE PLAY making her even younger than she is portrayed making fgo's version of her somehow slightly more accurate- Edit: If something I said was wrong, please correct me, I love the Salem Witch trials (As a concept not the actual events, the events are terrifying to think about lmao) and I don't want to be spreading misinformation about one of my favorite historical events
