Thank you for making this video. I just brought a 2022 SE Camry and it has lane centering, auto high beams etc, etc but does not have proper hood struts. Just a prop rod. Come on Toyota. I appreciate you showed the part numbers and how to install on my ride. I’m ordering the parts today and installing these on my ride.
Just ordered all the parts. Thanks for the video ! Now I'm gonna be like the kid waiting at the window every day for the delivery. lol. Update...... got everything new. Cost me about $185 delivered & taxed. Happy birthday to me ! Install was a breeze. Thanks again.

I mean it’s pretty obvious this was a cost saving measure for Toyota. I just got a 2021 Toyota Camry hybrid se and upgraded from 2016 Toyota Camry se and the 16 had the hood struts. I was surprised it wasn’t on the new Camry as well.
Just got my 2023 on Thursday. This is one of the question that I had about the car. I also do not understand why the AC does not slow down when on a phone call like it does on many less expensive cars. Also, where is the remote start??? Ridiculous for a car this nice and at this price it doesn't have these 3 things. Would be nice for a little more seat bolstering too for a performance (ish) car. Great video. I am going to add this to mine. For $70 it's way worth it.
@@lateralus423 I didn't know that. I did try to find one with the upgraded audio and couldn't find one anywhere. So, I took what I could get. I have to say one of the most surprising things is how good the base audio is. Thanks for the comment. Really appreciate it.
You keep making great videos, every time i think of something else to do to my 2022 Camry you already have a video 😂😅...How much did you pay for all the pcs?
There is a kit with all of these parts on eBay now. Apparently I can’t add the link here, but the seller is SimplyEarth, and it has OEM hardware with aftermarket struts. Less than $90 for the full kit.

Yeah the trd is stripped of everything. Maybe that's why they're so cheap. My 2005 had more features than the TRD. But I bought it for gas mileage and to pass to my teenage daughter when she starts driving. We got our son a full sized v8. This platform is perfect for a young woman. I know im late. Take a look at your engine bay. You should see 2 holes covered on the bottom of the hood. And 2 open holes on the chassis it will look like threaded holes. All the camry really should be the same but with just different size engines. Its what i think

Why not say support and/or stay instead of rounded vs non rounded. Does support go up top or down bottom? Left goes on drivers side?
Great Video.
I’ve been trying to find one for the 2023 Camry trd
You actually only need 3 bolts not 4. There's already one there holding the hood prop bracket in place.
