The Queen Mary was a beautiful vessel, a work of art. As beautiful as the Normandie, And just as luxurious. I am happy she is still with us, but I do wish she was being taken care of, I wish she was preserved, not gutted, she is a peice of history, she dosen't deserve that. No ship does..
Wonderful! What a great time it must have been for people in Britain when the Queen Mary began her extraordinary career. I've read that the building of the Queen Mary, all the work that it generated in many areas, helped to save the British economy during those years of the Depression.
@@runawaysmudger7181 Many ships had a funnel that was there as an "ornament" for the purpose of fireplace, furnace, stove ventilation etc, especially on four funneled ships. Titanic's fourth funnel for example, was for that purpose as well to make her and her sisters look as impressive as the rivals, whereas the Lusitania and Mauritania's fourth funnels weren't duds and vented engine room smoke like the others, as well as fireplace/stove ventilation. I believe that's what he's referring to.
Could you add a "bouncing ball" to this for a sing along? I have a lot of vintage groups that would love to sing along to this. Thank you. If there is a cost, let me know how much and how to pay

The Queen Mary is one of my favorite old ships. I’ve been to the hotel twice, and she is just so beautiful, same with her history.
