Air temperature sensors are an NTC resistance based sensor and don't actually have a right or wrong polarity.

I was cringing when you were drilled the panel for fuse box unclamped
at trade school saw a mate drilling a similar sort of metal drill bit gripped
20 minutes later microsurgery to reattach the tendinitis in his fingers
but love the Volvo

I don't know if someone has mentioned it in another comment but with most air temp sensors I've seen, polarity doesn't matter :) since most of them are just a resistor to ground

A couple important Volvo 240 centric items of interest:
1) the Dana type 30 rear end will surely fail before you need to uprate the fuel hose diameter (might be a good time to have brand new internals and possible cryogenically tempered ring and pinion gears installed with a trusty LSD)
2) it’s a good time to replace the stock heater core (and hoses) before you bolt everything up - these are notorious for exploding coolant all over the interior underneath the dash when they fail
Exactly why I decided to not hook the heater core up yet
But we're going to put an Aussie Locker in the diff.
Damn a 1000 bucks, wish cars where that cheap here, even unfinished !
Connecting the pulse width modulated fan power supply to a mechanical relay...Scotty is definitely old school.
Not sure I'd want that much current going through the ECU
But yeah I'm old school
@@STREETMACHINETV Using a relay is mandatory but find yourself a solid state relay to replace the mechanical one as the pulsed power from the ECU will have it turning on and off way faster than they are designed for.
Solid state relays use a MOSFET transistor to provide switching duties without any moving parts.

Turn it all the way up..... mega boost!
You should get a 6boost manifold, external gate and gtx 3076r gen 2 with. 82AR onces you get the twins tuned. Don't run more than 11psi or the ceramic turbines come off.
I'd put a fuse close to the battery (for ECU and relay) to avoid future cable fires.

Fuel tank $50 at nearest euro wrecker, mount the computer and igniter in the engine bay. Air temp sensor wires looked hairy - check for short
At 2:11 it looks like you are fitting some king of nutsert, Don't get to see the finished install before the ECU went in, where do you buy those?
Hey mate, Got some advice, Next time you come across a thread problem, got to Reece plumbing and by and adaptor, like 1/2BSB to 1/8Npt, saved me so many times, or Bunnings plumber or air section
