I know this is a year late haha but here are the lyrics translated to english: That our world needs to have More love every day You and I know it Let's start here and now So hold on to me Don't let go of me It's like I'm bewitched by you And I want you Come and hold me now Yes come closer one bit Do you hear my breath? The blood rushes wildly and hot Yes in many different ways Then come and hold me Don't let go of me it's like I'm bewitched by you And I want you Come and hold me now The pulse strikes, I see your gaze Oh, I'm in a helpless state I can be saved first if you Give mouth-to-mouth now So hold on to me Don't let go of me It's like I'm bewitched by you And I want you Come and hold me now I'm lost and seduced I'm shaken and touched The heart beats so hard Letting you go is too difficult And I think you see That I fall more and more (then the chorus repeats itself) I hope this helped!
Poor Nanne. :'( She sends pure awesomeness in Melodifestivalen, yet she was ALWAYS robbed! This song would have guaranteed (in my opinion) a Swedish victory in ESC 2005!
This was the doomed year when we sent "Las vegas" I've never ever been so ashamed of watching eurovision for beeing swedish!! And we had Nanne! We could've sent her and gotten at LEAST a #3, but NO!! We sent the worst song EVER in Eurovision! WHY??!!
Great track. Easily one of the top-five all-time great songs from Melodifestivalen. Love that high-pitched note she just tosses off in the middle. Insane that she can do that shit live.
I spent my entire life thinking that high pitched note was instrumental. Imagine my disbelief when I learned in 2023, 20 years after I heard this song for the first time, that it was HER VOICE.
+George Austin Tay most of her songs are just as good today as they were when they came out same as "Avundsjuk" that came out 1998 the beats are timeless well at least in my opinion and her voice is very unique at least compared to other Swedish singers
She was at the time (90's) the first true competitor to break away from the schlager genre in Melodifestivalen. Yes, her songs sounds very modern, even today.
The term you look for is timeless. Her songs feel just as contemporary now as when they were released. (Truth to be told, they did never feel super modern, they feel like last years summer jam but keeps on feeling like last summer forever.)
You don't say, in sweden many of us are tired if the jury because they have no sense in music taste. You might be an expert in music but your experties doesn't matter to what the public thinks of the song they hear. The jury just ruin the shit for our artists who deserved to win since the people of sweden voted mostly for the one they liked the most. But I guess the jury doesn't always wanna give a good show from sweden in eurovision :/
She´s fantastic. This is the first song I listen to every day, when I come to work. It gives me a lot of energy and joy for the day and my work. I admire her so much, also for the personality she has. Wonderful woman.
I remember we could buy songs like this to our cellphones back then. Do you remember polytunes as phonesignals? A lot have changed since then. Now we can watch stuff like this on the Phone.
She is one of the few singers around today that can write, sing well and in tune (not lip sync) and dance. I wish more of the people voting had liked her.
I love the song too. In my opinion, it would fall into the genre that we lovingly refer to as the "Eurovision"-genre, which fits it nicely; it can be a mixture of rock, pop, any genre really, seeing as Eurovision has seen some ethnic performances as well. The singer, Nanne, is pretty much a legend in Sweden, she started out in her twenties, and for being over twice my own age, I take my hat off to her for her fantastic stage presence and competence as a live singer. ^^
I have always loved this song by Nanne. Great singing, great choreography, great supporting musicians, catchy music. And boy, can pint-sized Nanne DANCE!! Fantastic! Much love from Australia.
I love Nanne's voice. Not only is she powerful, but I love the fact she's not in a super high soprano range where most end up sounding like they squeak. There's some great talent in that woman.
A few years past, while I was in medical school in Minnesota, I discovered Nanne Gronvall and her powerful vocals through this song. Watched a bunch of TH-cam videos of her music. I introduced it to a friend and classmate, who is of Swedish/Danish descent, and he thought she was awesome too. One night, at another classmate's social gathering, I met some Swedish medical students who were visiting. Told them how much I liked Nanne and they laughed about it. Told me her music was like "country" (folk?) music. Lol. Still think she's awesome.
15 years later and still in my opinion one of the best songs ever from melodifestivalen. I still can't believe they didn't send this to the festival. What a song, what a performance. just SUPERB
My God Sweden, your Nanne is a superstar!!, she scores with every performance. This is the first time I've seen this and caught up with the story about how she was robbed by the juries that year even though the public vote was overwhelmingly for her. I hope she can make it through a future final. Love from the UK. x
Because one of the jury groups was located in the same town as the dude who won, and they gave ZERO points to this song. And also, back then the peoples vote was not proportional, so even though she won the peoples vote with a massive landslide, she only got a "12".
Her 20th year as a music artist, 9th participation in the contest. And the experience shows. She *nails* it with 200% energy, sounding even better than the studio version, while also doing the choreography and the flairs perfectly. Kudos for that. And as a great bonus: that camera direction is amazingly slick.

The song is so incredibly amazing but I love the choreography as well with the half- spin and the hand up in the air on beat. Delicious! And the ending with the fast camera angles. It is so tight, so well-performed, a masterpiece! Nanne is the queen in all our hearts!
Dette må være den beste sangen Sverige noensinne har hatt i Melodifestivalen - fatter ikke at den vant! This must be the best song ever Sweden have had in the SwedishEurovison - can't belive that it not won!
Oh wow! How is this crazily powerful voice coming from such a teensy little package?? What a fun stage presence too, wish she would come to the US so I could see her live :)

Celestial Trash at least she went to the contest in 96.
This song was recently voted the best ESC preselection song in an online poll- and I agree with the choice!

She REALLY should have been in ESC with this song.

It's incredible how modern this song sounds, might as well be a hit in 2016
+George Austin Tay most of her songs are just as good today as they were when they came out same as "Avundsjuk" that came out 1998 the beats are timeless well at least in my opinion and her voice is very unique at least compared to other Swedish singers

Actually I just found out this song from Douyin China(TikTok in other countries)...
Oh my god I love this woman!
She's like the Tina Turner of Sweden!
She has such a powerful voice, and enough energy to support a country.
I'm noticing something with Melodifestivalen... the public vote winner is always way better then what the juries choose if they disagree.
You don't say, in sweden many of us are tired if the jury because they have no sense in music taste. You might be an expert in music but your experties doesn't matter to what the public thinks of the song they hear. Just Great. Love from Russia
Сколько экспрессии, харизмы, сексуальности. Необычная красота. И сейчас она сохранила её следы.
Невероятная женщина.
It's a DAMN SHAME that this force of nature didn't get to represent Sweden.
Blame the international jury... the swedish public want this.
aww, her band looks like they're having so much fun performing with her, too :)
It is beyond my comprehension why this did not destroy the competition at Melodifestivalen 2005.
Well that's the shit what really happens when hyped music gets the front seat.
Would've absolutely loved to have seen this at Eurovision
It did destroy the competition, according to the peoples vote.
But the rigged jury groups just loooved the lame ass dude who eventually won.
asymptotally5 Televoting wise, it won by landslide, the Juries though voted for the other guy..
Dorienne Grech
3 more points from the jury and this wouldve been in Kiev
Wow! This is really extremely powerful singing! Impressive!
Nanne är alltid toppen.

Nanne, you're amazing :D

NANNE!!! WE LOVE YOU!!!!!! AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH! MARVELOUS PERFORMANCE!!
This is AWSOME! So catchy!
Detta är en låt som man undrar hur det skulle gått för i ESC. Precis som Nick Borgens "We are all the winners"

+MaskinJunior Tror du tänker på 2004 :)
@@MaskinJunior svar: Ruslana vann Eurovision med låten "Wild Dances" 2004. Tävlade då för Ukraina.

OMG THIS IS EPIC! WHY THE HELL DID THEY SEND SUCH A SHITTY ENTRY INSTEAD?!?!?!?????
Because one of the jury groups was located in the same town as the dude who won, and they gave ZERO points to this song.
And also, back then the peoples vote was not proportional, so even though she won the peoples vote with a massive landslide, she only got a "12".
+Matthias Ortner Because the jury grouped had Martin as the winner, and it is not that bad. He was good in MF but his performance in ESC was crapy

"Salvatore was here"
She actually won the televote, but the juries preferred Martin Stenmark's bland Las Vegas.
This song/performance to Eurovision and it would have been Swedish victory!! From Italy
Thank you, Salvatore. Not many know that Salvatore went back in time so that Nanne could sample his song. Good work, time-traveling Salvatore.
