Cherokee Chief John Ross was the son of Daniel Ross who was born in the Highlands of Scotland. His his mother and grandmother were mixed-race Cherokee, under the matrilineal tradition, Ross belonged to her Bird Clan.
    His great-grandmother Ghigooie, a full-blood Cherokee.

Whites and Cherokee got along until the Federal government didn't want us talking to each other. I think because the Cherokee knew of the Scotts and Irish long before Columbus. Something very creepy about the federal government and the (official story) on everything.

Indeed, another thing is the Chickasaw continued to fight as they didn't understand this thing called surrender and became known as the Spartans of the Civil War.

One thing the so-called civilized tribes have in common is that they apparently accepted the names that the Europeans put upon them. Cherokee isn't the name they used for themselves. It's a Choctaw word meaning ancient people or mountain dwellers. Choctaw is a Spanish word meaning flathead. Seminole is Spanish for wild or untamed. Creek is English and describes people who live on creeks and bodies of water. Makes you think these people usurped other people's identities.

    • @Waterdog862

That’s because all those words you used are the words in English. It’s not uncommon at all for groups of people to have names in different languages, the Spanish don’t call themselves Spanish and Germans don’t call themselves German. You’re point doesn’t make sense because this is just how languages work if you’ve ever taken a foreign language class you’d have learned this. We have words for ourselves in our own language we just don’t use them in English, it would be weird for a Spanish person to say “I’m Español” they would say “I’m Spanish” because they’re speaking English. I would never tel somebody “I’m ᏣᎳᎩ” because that wouldn’t make sense and they’d look at me weird I’d just say I’m Cherokee

Chickasaws were the last tribe to surrender during the Civil War to the federal government. I believe if the south won the Civil War they would of treated them better then the Yankees. Bc of what the federal government had done to my tribe I today do not support the US government at all. I proudly Commend what the confederacy did to stand up to the government and help the chickasaw s. So today I am proud to claim that heritage.

Iroquois are the 5 civilized tribes who helped in the revelutionary war. Friend of George Washington. The tribes are: Onondaga, Oneida, Cayuga, Seneca, and Mohawk. Led by Chief Skenandoah and Polly Cooper. Our government came from these people. Not Cherokees. But that's okay. We are all related. BTW, nobody mentioned anything about the Tuscarora.

Her overall relaxed and adolescent nervous type tone of speaking, incorrect description of events, repeated use of harmful stereotypes and phrases just shows that her research was either just cut & pasted from old racist literature or AI/chat gpt generated.
Slow down…. take a breath… become still in your thoughts and body…and go listen to elders of those specific tribes.

I love passion you're very passionate I appreciate that. I have a couple of comments to make regarding what you have to say. In the US civil war the native Americans as is their right and is appropriately positively correct. Had to decide who to believe. And no matter who they picked the governments both intercourse the native Americans. That's something that's been going on for what is it now? 300 years 400? Yet in your passion it certainly seems as though you justify the economic considerations behind slavery. So I ask you how do you want to be a slave would you like it do you want to be someone's slave?
And that's the bottom line here because the reasons you justify and both governments screw the Indians the Indian the native Americans have been screwed by the government ever since before the US became a country. That is a fact. However during US civil war. You seem to justify the economic reasons behind slavery so that leads me to leave that you favor slavery so what are you worth? How much do you think someone should pay to make you their slave?
Unfortunately in your passion you seem to support the idea that the economic reasons behind slavery are just viable good and worth fighting and dying over.
What do you have to say about that?
That was the biggest message I got from you and your presentation.
That if it's to your economic advantage.
Slavery is a good thing. It's a perfect reason to die for.
It's great to chase the buck that matters more than anything else.
If that wasn't your point why did your passion come out in favor of it?
