So many people today only want what is most identifiable, rather than to explore and find something that fits their style perfectly. Nowadays, the only thing that seems to matter is whether or not someone can tell you have money from two seconds of spotting you. Hermes has so many beautiful designs and the majority only focus on two or three silhouettes. I understand that FOMO and constant advertising of these bags is a major contributor to the constantly increasing demand, but if you look outside of the Birkin and Kelly, you may find a new starlight bag that will offer the same pizazz to your outfit.
I have Bottega Veneta bags, which my husband nicknamed: stealth bags because there is no identifiable logos on the bags. I bought my first stealth bag 10 or so years ago, long before I saw it take off as a trending bag.
Alexis Battar is a man by the way, I met him once at a trunk show in D.C. I bought a few pieces from him, but have a hard time matching them to anything else. Still love his work.

So much..... same designs of Van Cleef, Hermes', Cartier, and Chanel. Don't get me wrong, they are beautiful, but, I like the lady with the gold coats attitude. I adore vintage anything.....be different, be real, "be snazzy" as my dad often said.

I truly, truly love these videos, and as someone who has created content, I KNOW how much work goes in. That said, fashion and style should be creative. Hermes aside, the same Cartier bracelets, the same Van Cleef jewelry, etc., is just not the window into style some of these gals think it to be. It is merely a window into a bank account, and money, while necessary, and even lovely to have in terms of access, is not really that interesting if it is not used to pursue originality, art, and sparks of human intelligence.
