10:15-10:22 is the best thing I've heard all day xD Not at all involved in supply chain, but still found this very informative. Thanks for making these talks available to everyone!
In my opinion, I consider that the current situation of COVID-19 has a significant impact on the supply chain of any company. Bearing in mind that the first problems are between supply and demand and that this not only affects China, but at this time the effects are shown worldwide. The main affectation be shown as the reduction of economic activity. It must be assumed that this situation will have a significant impact on large, well-positioned supply chains, and those with the least impact may be located on increasingly smaller localized supply chains. Finally, the impact can´t be so great if companies plan their activities well and take into account various strategies that help them to have support in this situation, which, as mentioned, the main problem is the economy.
In my opinion, globally, the industries that manufacture textiles, high-tech goods and household items are those that would be most affected by its supply chain, according to the data provided. According to what I have investigated and taking into account the central issue of the cideo, the textile industry had a 54% share of world production in China, that of high-tech products 46% and that of household items 35% . For what is most affected is the supply of raw materials or in the case of the home the basic basket
The volume was really bad and it was frustrating to listen to and I hope they fix that problem cause this is an interesting and relevant discussion. I left the live broadcast due to poor sound quality
The coronavirus has a strong impact on the supply chain since it has an economic impact on countries, just as it had a serious impact on some production companies in their supply chains due to lack of production material and that some companies have left to produce and this makes the supply chain operate properly and there is a shortage in shopping centers this is greatly affecting the supply chain
The new coronavirus has hit all nations quite well, in health and now also in the economy of each country, as many businesses have stopped their activities because of the risk of becoming infected with the virus. In Mexico, people are killing products from retail stores because the right information has not been provided, panic purchases are increasing and retailers are increasingly affected as the economy depends on customers, quarantine indications have not been followed properly, as many are going out to work because of the need to bring supplies to their homes. This pandemic is really affecting in every way.
I think the economy could go into a recession as many companies rely on materials made in China, and many supply chains are not sufficiently prepared and do not implement new forms of work. Coronavirus affects many industries in particular transport and manufacturing, first of all transport as there are not many people willing to travel in addition to the government implementing a series of cares that make it almost impossible to get out. manufacturing industries have had to rest staff for health reasons and because in some cases their raw material or work orders are beginning to run low.
The coronavirus pandemic is affecting global supply and de and de and demand. The problem it is causing in the supply chain, in addition to affecting China where it will mostly impact is in the United States and Europe. This is causing all activities such as research, work and teaching to be online. Today the supply chain can be managed in online activities or online bussines, ensuring that at this time pandemics, there are lines of communication with costumers and suppliers. The impact ot the strong coronavirus pandemic on the supply chain, but with the help of technological innovations can be achieved.
