In regards to the portugal ending the NHR and retirees heading to spain, the portuguese 10% tax seems better than spain’s regarding pensions/ssa as income which is hit at much higher rates. Are there options in spain that would make spain more competitive, whether deductibles or taxable brackets, etc? Personal situation, i am in the pension/ssa 5-figure category but selling a house to set me up with the Golden Visa. Would i be better off in spain or portugal?
