    1:36 just a question:
How did you managed to put the italian unofficial anthem made short before winning wwi that literally talks about winning wwi as the song for the "losing wwi" scenario? 😂
Doesn't make any sense at all

Well, I didn't search up the song's lyrics. I thought it would sound good.
Anyway thank you for your notification.

Don't worry, like 1.1% of the world poulation speaks italian, of which maybe half of them know the song so 99,5% of the people won't even notice.
      Probably only italians will...
Anyway, for reference, the song literally ends with:
"No" the Piave (river) said, and so the infantrymen
"Never shall the enemy advance of even a single step again"
And the Piave was seen to swell its banks and, like the infantrymen, also fought the waves
Red with the blood of the haughty foe the Piave commanded: "Go back, foreigner"
And the enemy backed away, beyond Trieste, beyond Trento and the Victory spread her wings in the wind
      [...]
Safe were the Alps, free were the banks, and the Piave became silent: the waves calmed.
On the fatherland, defeated the grim Empires, the Peace didn't found nor opressed people nor foreigners.
("Foreigners" here means both "there were no enemies left" and "italians who were foreigners because their land was ruled by AustriaHungary were no more foreigners on the italian soil" since the italian speaking communities of Trentino and Istria were united to the country)
To be fair the song was written in mid 1918, before the war even ended, in the middle of the Piave river battles, as a mean to boost morale so it could have ended differently actually.
Anyway Italy made the other anthem official only in 2017 and prior to that this song and the nowaday's actual anthem (made before, and for, the Italian unification) were considered both semi-official anthems.
Before 1946 the anthem was the Royal March cause Italy was a Kingdom.
Hope this helps people who happen to be in this comment section and want to know more 😁
      Have a nice day👍

I believe you deserve more subscribers than I do. The only thing that could be changed in your videos is that the fonts are a little hard to read. Lol
    Anyways, great video

an independent Sicilian country is the bad ending? Ok dude

    • @Arpads_Legacy
      @Arpads_Legacy  ปีที่แล้ว

Well, it could be either an independent country, but having an economic crisis due to lack of industry or under military occupation like the rhineland. Neither of these would be better for Sicily than irl.

@@Arpads_LegacyWould have at least gotten to keep the Sicilian identity and language alive and not towards extinction. tbh Sicilians have always had the cards stacked against them always being ruled by outsiders. Maybe you are right, there is no good ending for them.
