Your videos are my favorite by far and I watch many. I know X758 is not 4WD but i will have to keep my JD 318, as it is far easier to service for someone in their mid 80's. Thanks for what you do.
Can you tell me which lines from the front hydro axle connect to which port(s) on the rear axle. I had to replace the lines due to leaks and had to step away from the project for awhile than forgot which ports each connected to in the rear. Thank you.
Just bought a 738 with the 4 wd. Took the fill plug off the front axle and it was filled to the brim. Is this correct? I'm concerned it's over filled. If it's supposed to be filled completely after running the tractor great. If not please let me know what might be needed to correct this. I don't want to blow a seal because of expansion of the fluid. Thx
Thanks for the post, I took my X758 in for the first 50hr service one week ago.I haven't heard anything from them but I know it doesn't take a week to accomplish the job. Calling tomorrow and let them know if they haven't started on it yet to not touch it.I will go pick it up and do it myself. Your video explained all I need to know to do it myself. Thanks for showing us how. Now, how much hydrolic oil does it take? 👍
Glad the video was helpful! Hydraulic fluid wise you should need 7-8 qts. I always recommend buying either two gallons plus a quart or if you dealer offers the 2.5 gallon container. Each dealer will be different on price breaks etc so asking the price and determining price per quart will save you some money. I go through enough and my dealer cuts a good discount on 5 gallon pails. I think last time I bought LV HG it was $3.xx per qt.
@mmrbeef Do you recommend a loader from ctc? I’m in the market and looking to buy soon. Also, what about the pressure relief valve that is recommended?
Thanks for the video. I took delivery of a new X758 a few weeks ago and this is a great help.

Yes, x758 is 4wd. I have one and I love it.
Nice work
I just bought a new x738
Good to see how this is done
5+ quarts in front axle. A vent is on the top of each side in the gear reduction units at the RF and LF of the machine.
I have my 50 hour service coming up. Thanks for the tutorial!
You need a thin wall impact wheel socket kit, Snap On and Matco both sell them, I don't know if MAC Tools sells them.

Not nearly as bad as I was anticipating. The joker at the plant that put that filter on should be fired immediately lol
Good video👍

Just to clarify, theres 3 drain plugs and 3 fill holes right?
just wondering why you did not follow the jacking point as indicated in the manual for the front. under the receiver/bumper?
I’ve had two machines fall off jacking from that point. I should have mentioned that!
I see you have the optional arm rests on your X758 seat. Were those on at delivery or did you add them?
after it is fully drained you turn the key and you start the tractor no just kidding he he he!
It makes me wonder why all that fluid needs changing when it comes out looking clean
50 hour break in service. Looks clean but if you let it settle and opened the filter there is plenty of suspended metal
@@mmrbeef what about the front?it takes nine quarts and no filter? I question the fluid change interval after 50 hours
Thanks
@Gaylord Miller The front doesn't take no where near 9 quarts
After you change your oil filter can you mow with your 1445 please

The front axle diff is haggard or Gl 5 gear lube?
Depends on the type of axle. Traditional MFWD axle takes gear lube, the HFWD axle takes Hygard.
Another 5.3 quarts t the back drain of the transmission and filter. Note Owners Manual.
