I drove a 2002 volvo 780 back in 2004 ,this 2020 is the same truck same interior design ,they only changed the hood design and the sleeper windows .
If I could just fit my 3406e in to that engine bay right? 😜

I drive a 2020 just like this. My only complaint is the auto idle shutoff, California bullshit, is annoyingly difficult to bypass and the bypass method does not work consistently!

What’s new?????
It’s the same cab of the VNL-770 since 1998 with sligtly modified plastic interior and a modified hood/bonnet.
Interior:
Everything behind the seats it’s the same crap since the late 2003 and 2004 model. That foldable upper bunk is the worst they produced and it’s exactly the same useless garbage I’ve got in my 2000 VNL-770. The table and the “couch cushions” are the same as they’ve been since the debut of the 770 in the late 1990’s. Maybe they’ve changed the color scheme a bit, but that’s it !
The dashboard is the same like the last year’s. Maybe a bit more electronic crap?
The seats are the same garbage seats as always, regardless if they’re vinyl / fake leather or just the generic cloth.
Exterior:
With the exception of some stickers and the design of the hood/bonnet and sidescurts, everything is the same as it’s been since the VNL-770 model of 1998.
Even the hood/bonnet and sidescurts are the same as of last year’s production.
What’s probably different, it’s the price which more than likely went even further up and more electronic and emission crap which will cost you a fortune to diagnose and repair every time the darn junk decides to not work.
All trucks these days are complete junk/rubble right from the assembly line not worth a pile of manure when it comes to reliability and Volvo North America is no exception !!!!
PS: in North America when it comes to commercial trucks, nothing changes for decades and, when something changes, usually it is for all the worst reasons !!!!
One thing that’s always changed is the darn price of them which is always going up and up as the cost of maintenance and repairs is also going up and up. Freight rates though, these keep of falling down to the point that you’re not even getting payed enough money to buy the fuel for the trip.
