This is my very first sprite movie, and it pairs two people against each other that you wouldn't normally expect.
Sonic, the fast paced blue hedgehog that's saved the world numerous times from the evil clutches of Dr. Eggman.
Spongebob, the yellow sponge that spends his days flipping patties at the Krusty Krab and jellyfishing with his best friend.
Likewise, this is more of a comedy then an actual fight, so please don't take this too seriously. Let's just hope you have a good laugh from this!

Wouldn't be the first time. We saw it in "Pressure" and we saw it in The Spongebob Squarepants Movie.
I have a bit of a theory on this: it probably has to do with moisture in the air. He only died in the treedome and when exposed to a hot light in Shell City. Sandy states she has the "driest, purest, most airiest air" so there's an implication of little-to-no moisture in her treedome.
But in both "Pressure" and on the beach in the Movie, he seems okay in the air. What both those scenes have in common is he's on a beach, where moisture is prominent.

Spongebob is immortal and is known to survive conditions Sonic, himself can’t survive. Sonic can’t even beat Spongebob is his ultimate form. If we use the Quicker, then Sonic get destroyed when the fight just started. Never underestimate cartoon characters.

1. he cant breath on land so if it was a water map sonic would drown.
2. spongebob is a sponge so if sonic would turn into super sonic he would just use the blade from sonic fantasy x.
3. sonic could just bring shadow so when they fusion they would be hyper or super shadic.

I honestly really enjoyed this, I understand it was made for humor and I liked watching this, honestly I think neither of them would win because Spongebob could just absorb all the damage Sonic inflicts on him but at the same time Sonic would be too fast for Spongebob to even lay a hit on him, in the end I think they’d both decide to give up and get along or something like that. In reality I don’t think they’d fight in the first place since they’re both good and not evil. That’s how I found out this was made for humor and it was pretty enjoyable in my opinion.

I understand that this was for comedy, although, this video gets 1,411 likes and 1,740 dislikes. Even I disliked this video.
Let me give a CLEAR and VALID explanation on why this is invalid and the fight should've been where Sonic won.
For one thing, Spongebob CANNOT live above water like how Sonic CANNOT live underwater; it's pure fact. If you have watched the Spongebob Movie, Spongebob was going to die of heat and since only Underwater sources and a REALLY dense forest would shield out the sunlight, Spongebob would've "drowned" in the heat. Also, Spongebob may move fast, but Sonic still runs faster. Spongebob's highest mileage ever recorded in a Spongebob racing game is 178 MPH. Sonic's highest speed in a STANDARD Sonic game is recorded at 491 MPH. Meaning that Sonic could still beat Spongebob in a foot race.
For battling, Spongebob sucks at PVP. If you've seen the ONLY episodes he fights, he mostly cowers and let's his friend, Sandy The Texas Squirrel, do the fighting for him. He RARELY fights at all. Sonic however is stronger that Spongebob. Bashing a Metal Robot isn't all easy you know. If you don't remember, Sonic is what we call a FREEDOM FIGHTER; he fights FOR freedom. If you don't know this, look back in the episodes.
In actual retrospect though, none of them would fight. I will agree that BOTH are annoying in a way. The only REAL fight they would get in is an Arguing fight.
