Great choice. He always protected the plate. A solid player. My childhood spent listening to Vin call a ball game with all the great Dodgers players of the 70's and 80's, including Steve Yeager.
I got a chance to meet Steve in 1997. I was at a Jiffy Lube in Reseda california and he was there gettimg his car done too. Which was funny becauss it was a late 60s Dino Ferrari. As a big Dodger fan I instantly recognized him. Wr talked about cars while our cars were getting serviced. For about 30 minutes. What a humble and down right cool dude he was. Laid back Califonian guy.
