I don't have any specific memories of something like an aplenglow but I have lived in British Columbia for many years and love the trees and the lakes and the mountains. I find nature really comforts me which is also a big part of why Nightwish's songs grab me so much. Have a good week!

We were here in this song foreshadows the We Were Here in TGSOE, as commented by others, but you will find many others. "Meadows of Heaven" for example, turns up not just in that song but in a few others; there are lots of other examples (I once listed all the occurrences of ocean and Ocean born - quite a list.). To see the Alpenglow in person is quite a sight. If you go to the Swiss Alps, the Matterhorn depicted in the backdrop or for me particularly the Jungfrau massif (Jungfrau, Eiger, Mönch) and watch the sunrise/sunset there are spectacular examples - I have some great (I think) photos from around the Bernese Oberland
