I loved this demo. I couldn't decide which of the two to choose, I love the one with cold shadows and warm lights. It would be interesting if you made more videos of this type. The subject of values, temperature, etc. Thank you very much Christina
I would like to know more about the effects that colours have alongside each other. How they meld, sit alongside each other and how to make them shimmer.
It’s a fascinating topic! I made a video that explores this a bit: Color theory exercise: how colors interact th-cam.com/video/3bz-09xJkxM/w-d-xo.html The book “Interaction of Color” by Joseph Albers has some great exercises on this topic.
Thanks so much for this! I was wondering whether you built your own float frames for your canvas art, or any information about your source would be much appreciated!
Great lesson & well demonstrated. Always up for more! I really like your down to earth & transparent approach in all of your videos 😊

@@christinakentartThankyou for this information. I'll check both sources out.
Good exercise. I'm going to take my watercolors and do this with the colors in my pallet.
That's a great idea! Happy painting :)
Oh what a great idea, I’m going to do the same!

Oh sure! I buy the floater frames, usually from Amazon or Jerry's Arterama, and I get Illusions Floater Frames or Ampersand Floater Frames

2.05 burnt/raw sienna. Sorry I am a word sensitive, can't help it, sorry .
So glad you liked it! And yes, I meant to say “burnt sienna.”
I love the moods created with such simple color shifts. Great video for anyone needing a simple and concise explanation of color temperature.
I know right? It's such an interesting concept. And thank you!
Thank you - good clear explanation.
Thanks, I'm glad you liked it! :)
Hi..What kind of paper is used for this painting? It's looking like very smooth.
I’m using arches oil paper. It has a bit of texture, kind of like watercolor paper.
Highlights should be cool
That’s a great idea! Using a contrasting temperature for the highlights can really make them pop.
